Godly i7 owners thread?

Godly i7 owners thread?

All i7 owners may apply, no poorfag i5 or i3's.

How did you overclock a non K processor that much?

Lappies too?

ok

Aslong as it's an i7 im happy.

Bonus for extreme chips.

Hi

You could have stayed if you wouldn't use that fuckhueg disgusting font.

Every time. Do you do any actual work on your computer or produce anything, or do your 8 threads sit at idle until it's time to shitpost?

oh fuck, mind doing a cinebench for me?

Not at my desktop at the moment, but I have an i7 4790k only ocd to 4.2ghz, 16GB of RAM and a 980. 144hz 1080p is pretty cool.

8/10 nice laptop

My friend has a 4790k also, and holy fuck they are fast.

With msi oc genie II i could freely change the voltage and multiplier with my oc genie thing.

multiplier was locked at x43 tho.

Only problem i have atm is that c-state dosen't want to work so it goes in 4+ghz at all times.

Look mom i have a i7, i'm special

hello :^)

Why would you buy a 6700k when you can get a 5820k for around the same price? The 5820k will cool better, can OC to 4.5ghz, and has 2 more cores.

overly expensive shit motherboards

New build. Haven't tried to overclock it yet.

There is no "mid-range" X99 motherboards that is why, and you should not be buying mid-range motherboards in the first place just because they are cheap, you might be getting a shittier product.

300 minimum for an x99? honestly a z170 at the same price has more pcie slots, more m.2, etc. And the quality will still be the same

I have some upgrade slots but never bothered, don't have more than 2 or 3 in use at any given moment.

three 3TB Seagates and a 1.5TB
You've picked the two most failure-prone models of the last 10 years or so. Both are basically defective.

Could you post a HDTach bench of a 3TB? It's possible Seagate has addressed the issues. When they first came out it was obvious that they had major problems because the graphs looked TERRIBLE. The 2TBs were bad, too, but my recent one looks perfect.

I know this now. I bought them when I had an Adderall prescription and started to compulsively hoard HD porn. Came to my senses and got off the shit, and deleted it all. Now I have 5TB of unused space.

I will say that I've never had a Seagate die on me. That 1.5 TB is 7 years old, and I have a 1 TB that still works fine 10 years later.

Other two drives benchmark similarly to this one, except one of them has a burst rate of ~300 MB/Sec.

Whoops, forgot to post the benchmark.

My 6700k goes to 4.7ghz easily

feels good to be a part of the master race

Ok, that's not terrible. Good chance you're all right, because that's worlds better than they looked in 2011.

Delicious i7s.
My laptop's i7 (right) is admittedly a bit shitty when it comes to certain tasks, but other than that it's nice to have in a Zenbook.
And damn are 4790Ks beasts. Don't regret my purchase, I feel like this is going to last me a few builds.

:))))

How does it feel that one core of my i7 will perform better than your whole cpu?

How fast are the 3930k's today?
Still kicking ass?

I've got an A10, that's like the i7 of AMD APUs, is it good too?

Feels bad, but that's how the life of a poorfag works.

rate?

One core of a 6700k will not outperform this A10, it's maybe about 2x as fast but not 4x.

Just waiting on the rest of my parts to arrive.

Gigabyte Brix with a 250GB mSATA SSD.

Still a pretty speedy little guy for what I do with it. More than enough to run several guests in KVM. Fan noise is a little annoying sometimes though.
