why does my VPN connection turn to shit when I have uTorrent downloading? as soon as I close the program, everything works fine. when I'm downloading a torrent, all speeds (including the torrent speed) drop to ~5kbps.

OK, looks like uTorrent is shit, so I'm gonna try qBittorrent
Your VPN could be throttling torrenting.
I thought that at first, so I tried different connections throughout the U.S. and europe - same result
>using uBotnet
>uTorrent is shit, so I'm gonna try qBittorrent
Oh user...
Utorrent fucks with my connections when it isn't downloading or seeding anything, just by having it on it still fucks with something
i installed qBittorrent & forced it to use my TAP adapter. everything downloaded fine, so uTorrent is confirmed as shit.
what?
So you're incompetent.
Not OP, but what exactly is wrong with qBitorrent and what would be a better replacement?
Probably some open source portable piece of shit that only works in text
>what's wrong with STALLEDtorrent?
The fact it can't connect for shit.
I've never seen a qBittorrent user who could seed for anything.
Too lazy for that considering i don't torrent on a regular basis like i use to.
Because BitTorrent and any P2P software works by connecting to several clients at the same time. That creates congestion on any network.
>different connections
It isn't the connection, it is the protocol. Torrenting shows up differently than surfing the web which shows up different than email, etc.
i always just attributed that to lack of seeds. any suggestions on a client that at least has a GUI?
just use deluge playa. open source, available on all platforms, iirc the only reason to use any other client is if you have like a metric fuckton of torrents then i've heard transmission is better
OP here. use qBittorrent. seriously.
my downloads are working fine, and i just verified that it's using my VPN connection.
no, i mean my VPN allows me to pick connections in different countries.
i used to use deluge - that's good shit too. i can't remember if it allows you to force the traffic over a specific adapter, though.
I'll give it a try. thanks
uTorrent 2.2.1. It just werks.
And it has Tetris.
How can I transfer 900+ utorrent downloads to a new program easily?
uTorrent is a meme compared to Tixati
