Botnet, besides that it is the best. Sage

what botnet?

>besides that it is the best
lel, no

It's from Google. Google makes >90 % of its money from advertisement/selling your personal data to advertisers. The privacy statement even says that they will collect your data. If you're fine with it, OK, I am not.

Google.com
Name a better browser

I'm sure you'd disagree with Firefox. So I'll pick Chromium, no botnet (maybe), no privacy issues, open source.

it's a bit of a resource hog.

Telemetry you can't turn off.

Every little thing you do is sent to Screwgle immediately, stored forever, and then run through numerous algorithms to "personalize your experience", AKA gage how much of a dissident you are.

I've tried several options but none of them block youtube video ads on chrome.

Also it's probably possible as I haven't made the attempt, but on firefox it's really easy to download flash and html 5 video from the same.

Pretty much the only thing holding me back from switching, op.

Not being this

Being a pedo

This, Chromium is as good as it gets in a modern internet browser.

>I've tried several options but none of them block youtube video ads on chrome
There are at least three different ad-block extensions that will do this.

No sidetabs
Datamining
Can't make it not look like shit
WebKit (fuck you, Blink is a WebKit fork)

which is a KHTML fork

Mhmm

Nothing, firecucks just like pretending their browser isn't a compromised train wreck full of fat feminists and SJWs. Firecock don't even support Webp or even transparent Webm in 2016, christ.

nothing, it's the fastest browser

>Firecock don't even support Webp or even transparent Webm in 2016, christ.
Just checked and you're right. I fucking give up, downloading chrome right now.

works on my machine

Hey look, it's that Chrome shill and his samefag friend again.
Where is that PNGfag to rub shit in your face?
You need to go... >>>/reddit/

WebPfag, you know that you disgraced yourself by admitting you unironically browse reddit

Give up ready and shill at a place as cancerous as you are.
>>>/reddit/

>lossyPNGfag
:^)

Don't think we didn't notice.

I've never been to r3ddit actually, you seem to know that place well if my memes triggered you. Maybe you should go back there.

The add on system is much poorer than Firefox. That's what stops me from chromium.

It's slow as fuck compared to edge.

>implying i use furrycocks and care about whoever use it.
I've seen u shill every day i actually browse Sup Forums, don't try to hide your shaming actions by diversion, shill.

>using the smiley face with the caret nose
Go away with your WebP dead unsupported image type shilling!
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

>shill
Okay I admit that I love Webp but how the fuck can you be a Webp "shill"? It's an open source format with no royalty fees whatsoever. Why the fuck would google pay me to shill Webp? Chrome and it's derivatives are not the only browsers that play Webp you know (see Brave).

>Okay I admit that I love Webp
GO AWAY, this is an anime loving board, not an unsupported image format loving board!
>>>/reddit/

Opera 12 also supports both webp and apng

>unsupported
>~80% of browsers already support it
>ebay and facebook already using it
k

Also
>proceeds to send me to reddit after the r3ddit frog
hmmmm

>bullshit
>r3ddit frog
GO AWAY! GO AWAY! GO AWAY! GO AWAY! GO AWAY! GO AWAY! GO AWAY! GO AWAY! GO AWAY! GO AWAY! GO AWAY! GO AWAY! GO AWAY! GO AWAY! GO AWAY! GO AWAY! GO AWAY! GO AWAY! GO AWAY! GO AWAY! GO AWAY! GO AWAY! GO AWAY! GO AWAY! GO AWAY! GO AWAY! GO AWAY! GO AWAY! GO AWAY! GO AWAY! GO AWAY! GO AWAY! GO AWAY! GO AWAY!

can we stop the "google selling your personal data" meme?
Selling the data they've collected about you is the stupidest thing google could do. It's like selling money - for less money. Google has more interest in protecting your data (the data they've collected about you) than yourself (otherwise google wouldn't have it in the first place)
Google being the only company having your data is a HUGE advantage in the advertising industry. Google doesn't sell your data, Google sells your money (indirectly by making you buy stuff you see in an ad, that was tailored for you, so you'd be more likely to buy).
Google would NEVER sell your data.

>being this triggered on a guatemalan pottery forum

how does that go again, takes one to know one? you need to go back

The UI has improved a bit lately but it's still rather plain and boring without much room for customisation.
Themes are pathetic attempts at offering some degree of customisation.
You don't even have any option to customise the shape of your tabs.
What's the point of that sound icon on a tab which plays audio if you can't click it to mute the tab? Maybe it should become invisible if the number of tabs make each tab width too narrow.
I got lots of ideas but now I'm writing on a phone in the bathroom so I don't feel like typing a lot.

>You don't even have any option to customise the shape of your tabs.

what browser allows that?

Firefox

Everything

I like Google's sync feature though, I like having my bookmarks both on my computer and phone, plus if I'm reading something on my computer and I need to leave the house I can pick up where I left off on my phone.

It also has shit performance and no support for webp.

Hey I'm not advocating Firefox, just answering your question.
>shit performance
Nice meme
>no support for webp
So fucking what? Nobody uses it anywhere.

firefox has pretty bad performance. If you use some canvas rendering or movement of many divs (I currently have to make a graph visualization with javascript), firefox is MUCH slower than Chrome. Then again, chrome does some optimization which lowers image quality.

>So fucking what? Nobody uses it anywhere.

Hai guys, what's going on in this thread?

Op asked what's wrong with Chrome. I said you have no option whatsoever to choose how your tabs should look like. Maybe someone wants to use Chrome but wants a UI option to switch to straight Edge-style tabs. Or to stack them on top of each other once their number exceeds a limit.
All I'm saying is that Chrome doesn't allow much UI customisation and is not flexible enough about such choices. You don't even have a native dark mode, you need to install themes which don't enable a true dark mode.

Literally who?

I can't get rid of the little dude in the top right corner

How is that any better exactly?
And yes, they would.

Performing better doesn't mean much when your browser practically has nothing feature wise.
