/guts/

Anyone have any guts that we haven't seen yet?

Like this?

OC guts

>Stock cooler

Wasnt built for me, I just put it together. Was proud of the wiring though.

Roast me.

My personal rig, couldnt find any pics fully assembled, this was while I was waiting for the video card to release (gtx 680)

Looks nice enough, though if you're gonna slap a Noctua fan in there, might as well replace all the fans with them. I actually like their funky color scheme, and the silence is nice.

If you remove the push fan you can put in more hard disks. I don't think it affects the temperature much.

There's 2 more in the top of the case, it's a buddys build, he got parts I assembled. He wasn't convinced on replacing the stock fans until after I had the noctua's in there as well.

>spoiler, my first time actually building a PC
>I know my cable management wasn't beautiful by any means, but it turned on and werks without a single issue

>I still wish he'd let me rewire it but he doesn't give a shit

looks like somebody took a shit at the bottom of your case.

poo in loo friend
poo in loo

lol man, thats quite the cobweb of wires going on back there. As long as it doesnt cause problems though, its no big deal. Cable management's only real advantage is airflow, so as long as its behind the tray, its fine. Though youll have alot of extra work to do should you ever need to replace anything. Always nice to plan out your wiring so that any component can be easily unplugged and replaced.

Airflow has been debunked with experiments. It's only for looks.

Well, it doesnt help with CPU or GPU temps, since they move their own air over their heatsinks, but for passively cooled ram, MOSFETa, chipsets, etc......having the air actually flow over them can add some stability during intensive computing.

Yeah, I'm not exactly pleased with it, friend just wants it to werk, and nothing more, if I had it my way I'd have gone full autism and spent more time working out the wiring, but it was like 3AM by the time I was at a point to be worrying about it.

>I come from /o/, while I know tech shit I'm more handy with tools.

That's just theoretical wanking without experimental proof.
The fact of the matter is it's tough to admit to yourself that you cable manage for aesthetics, so people invent some theoretical practical reasons for what they do so that they don't look so stupid.

I'll probably do that once I wind up with another hard drive, but for right now, I just love the way it look with both fans on.

>any guts that we haven't seen yet?
doubt it

hows the noise on that Asus Turbo cooler?

My computer is ~5 feet away so its pretty much unnoticed unless i'm stressing it, and then its just background noise, nothing jarringly loud.

check out my awesome custom loop guise

I keked

better than the original.

why are people feeding the liquid cooling from the cpu to the gpu? why not run 2 loops so the liquid hitting the gpu isnt as hot?

Works good enough, can't justify the added costs, space requirement and work.

...

Are you using your own piss in the loop? You might want to change it out, it's going brown.

That's a Photoshop I did of some asshurt anons case. Here's my latest build
E5450 3.6ghz
4gb 800mhz ddr3
Evga 660 3gb superclocked

ddr2*

I fucked up
Whilst returning the broken 3570k/z77 bundle I bought, I accidently left the Hyper 212 mounting bracket on. Now I'm back to AMD stock cooler whilst I wait for coolermaster to re-stock the mounting kit

nice
>Stickers
>Poo fan in the most useless place
>bad cables
Love the lian li case, looks really good.
nice
looks like the piping under my sink. Nice cabling though
Love this build, I would get a v1 and go ITX if it wasn't so big
how does the 5450 perform?

it is surprisingly good.

...

Haha WHAT!?

Ignore this idiot. As usual, conjecture without proof rules this fucking board.

Richfag edition.

Power supply is in, 1000w Chicony server PSU, fans are getting cut in today, probably will cop some coolers and RAM for it today

Mah nigga

I dont remember the last time I saw a stock cooler.

Such pathetic stuff really.

What parts are you gonna get next?

Gtx 1080 on the way

gonna wait a year and go all out ITX Zen, probably a Fury X aswell (Would go 980ti but AMD cards generally last longer through drivers)

...

You don't want to see my guts again, senpai? :(

>poo in loop

got a question senpai - what's your experience on the closed loop radiator on the exhaust instead of intake? The manual literally says to pull in for better performance.

Pretty spot on as the build is shit

...

...

...

It's a tiny difference, maybe 1-2C.
I had an OG H50, and this was my experience.

Has this PC been placed at a factory of some sort?

That is some fine particle dust.

>I hate this case
>mobo died now on dx58so which I don't care fore
>cooler ran great but is now absolute shit.

Got a new poo fan cpu cooler and the system runs great overall.

>negative case pressure

This triggers my autism

hey senpai, if you have a perfect case seal, it's fine.

It has a front and bottom fan, never did a proper rest but it gets plenty of airflow out the top/rear. Everything is filtered as well.

I want to switch to something more space and airflow efficient. Like I said I hate the case. Any thoughts on the phanteks eclipse?

>pump higher than reservoir

>meme fans

Guys where do I get cheap but ok sleeved colored cables???

I should probably OC my cpu.

my guts from about 2 years ago. Sold to buy a car.

And my current guts, buying a 780 Classified off a friend soon.Planning more upgrades once I'm not laid off work.

why is it clasified?

ask evga

Where can I find ram that has leds and cool led effects?

Anything that can change the led effects or is it random?

Im looking for DDR4 16gb (2x8)

Am I too poor for /guts/?

>meme fans

You're still better off than that shed-posting hobo, although I haven't seen the lazy jobless bastard in a while.

>The fans that came with the case
>thinking a poorfag could buy $30 fans
or are you referring to the noctua?

Because that's not the way it works. The coolant flows fast enough that it doesn't have time to heat up significantly at each block. It would take multiple trips through the whole loop for the temperature to rise noticeably, but at that point, it's been through the rad multiple times as well. Even extreme, 4 way SLI loops don't dump that much heat in at once. If a given loop has even a 5 degree difference between it's "coldest" and "hottest" points, it has a serious problem with it's flow rate.

Should be able to hit 4.7GHz

Looks better than most of the ricer things on here.

Don't say stupid, uneducated shit like that. Even if most of them fall around there, you will never know what any one individual CPU will hit until you try it, because every CPU overclocks differently. If he was unlucky with the silicon lottery, there's even a chance that his could lie down and refuse to do 4.1 while all cores are active.

Just bought that PNY SSD are they decent compared to top SSDs?

Im hoping this machine can last me at least until October 2017. Fx 8350 and gtx 960. I know the cables are shit. I have reason to believe that the psu is somewhat faulty though.

My plan is to buy a really high quality psu now, then transplant that into a flagship PC and make that one nice and pretty. Is this a good idea? Or tidy up with this pile and stick it out?

I've seen an average of 4.4ghz. Friend couldn't get above 4.5 until his shat everywhere.

A good quality PSU is never a bad idea as you can always bring it to your next build.

>Poorfag
>£80 case
>£40 CPU cooler
>£75 fm2 mobo

Have you seen this.

is it a meme yet? Tell me when it is so I can call it a dead meme

Why are you not watercooling?
Shouldn't it be possible in a case that epic?

Havent posten mine in a while

Is an aftermarked cooler too much to ask for.

You can get some even cheap ones that will do a lot for your ears and temps.

Il get one. Someday

I like it, but I really only buy them because they normally have sales for them at Best Buy.

Same old shit, except I removed the fan hub and added another SSD. God bless velcro strips. With all internal headers filled, I think this build is done. Lemme know what you think.

Comfy huh?

I've always thought the stock cooler fits really fucking well in this build.

It looks like a submarine that bumped into an underwater mine

user here's what I don't get:

does your case not have a vent underneath your psu? if it does, your psu is messing up your air flow because it's sucking air in, but the fan next to it is sucking air into the case. If it doesn't then there isn't a need for that noctua fan, or your case is poorly made.

god damn how satisfying is that

as a down payment?

looks like mine when I had my computer lying on its side and my rad was sitting on my vga water blocks. I'm sure I have a picture of it somewhere

I just bought the Cryorig M9i because of you. Do you have side panel fans on your build?

Nice except for that foam bits.

Really nice expect for the sag and the rear fan being 120mm instead of 140 is triggering me. Cable management at the bottom of the mobo is a bit shoddy too.

No bought used car(s), had previously been car pooling with my roommate but ended up getting a much better job with a different company and need a car, sold the GPUs and bought a $1100 beater, kinda got into working on cars and sold the rest of the PC to buy another car for $2800, sold the first car for parts for the second and ended up just not having a PC for 2 years because I was always spending my money on cars and or car stuff. Been laid off work for a while now though so I sold my project car and used some of the money to build a new PC.

I'm redoing my guts. Holy fuck the 24 pin power is tough to get out. Any tips?

The day your CPU fries, right user?

which single person at the company saw that case

and thought the color scheme was good

Progress. Power cables still stuck lol. Finally figured out how i can get the cpu power behind the mobo at least. I should have bought silver ram.
