So it has only GTX 1050 tier performance if the other leaks are true?
GTX 1060 is going to be in the 4X00 level with 6Gb .
AND do not forget that the 3DMark is a Dx11 test. Once there are Dx12/Vulkan benchmarks, Rx480 and 1070 are going to be at 1000 points of difference or less.
AND the headroom for Polaris is going to be sweet, while Pascal can't into OC.
Pascal overclocks to 2GHz
Poolaris can't overclock because 1 6pin and already maxed out at 150W TDP, zero headroom
Pascal overclocks to 2ghz for 2 minutes while gaming, then it goes to base clock. For sure it also overclocks to 4ghz (for a nanosecond). It is a known issue. Don't believe Nvidia lies.
Fuck off poorfag PAJEET
> AYYMD
Opinion null and void
Sapphire and MSI RX480 has 6+8 pin. Polaris 10 will range from 200$ to almost 300$ depending on the speed.
What point is how high is the clock if the scaling is shit?
Nvidiot, inform yourself.

AYYMDPOORFAGS CONFIRMED ON SUICIDE WATCH, SLOWER THAN GTX 980
Dear Nvidia,

Sincerely, Raja I'm going to rape your kids Koduri
SELL IT NOW!!!!!!
It makes laugh that AMD said the 480 would be in line with the 390 and instead it shows above the 390x. Meanwhile muh 2x Titan X performance.
Either these benchs are not reliable or AMD literally won a shitload of respectability. Sadly NVidiot shills can't fucking use their brain and NVidia shit will go on.
he has this special kind of look in his eyes which makes me spread my legs in front of him
KEK
>GTX 980 - 480$ cheapest (based on newegg)
>RX 480 - 200$
>same performance
Holy crap. I told my friend to not fucking buy 980 and wait but he was impatient and got one for Overwatch.
The bench is not reliable.
There's your answer.
The 480 is 380X level performance.
>the denial
Your friend is literally retarded, GTX 1070 is $379 and so much faster than GTX 980
Can we just wait for a real review?
I'd love to believe AMD has the darling of Price/Performance but they're just as likely to have a piece of shit.
We don't know and we won't know until the real world benchmarks are out.
Too bad 980 starts from 420 and so 390x
those are clearance prices. 980 was close to $500 until recently
Better?
What the fuck happened to this board? What even is this thread?
390X is already faster than 980. Add to this architectural changes and 480 should be significantly faster.
I've done my homework, did you know that two 380X cards outperforms a titan X in dx12 ashes?
By a fair margin?
wat, that 200$ gpu is doing as good as a 980? is this real life?
how does it feel that amd DEFECATED on your beloved Nvidia?
Your best hope is that AMD's dx12 ashes benchmark is a massive underestimate of its performance.
Otherwise keks will be had.
>4k
are you pretending to be retarded?
>AMD cards are better in heavier scenarios
>RETARD ITS 4K LOOK HOW MY NV CARD OUTPERFORMS YO IN 720P
Who even needs 4gb anyway, 3.5 is enough
Do you even have any point or just shitpost as usual?
1070 is 500€ in yurop ans 1080 is 800€
Got a used 980 for 300€ without waiting for the 480.
I find it quite hard to believed that they pulled a 650€ fury x but promises us a 200$ (so like 280€) card. But it may be true.
summerfags belong back on Sup Forums
>1070
>379$

I think the GTX 1060 will compete with the RX 470
>getting excited for performance of 2 years ago
What the fuck is wrong with you
980 start at 420€
the 390X starts at 320€ now.
390 starts at 270€
I would buy two of them if CF was not prone to microstutter in DX11 games and most games supported dual GPU setups. As a stand alone card it's a bit underwhelming regardless of the power consumption being lower than my current card (R9 290). I can get a score of 2835 in Firestrike Ultra with a mild overclock. For people upgrading from very old cards it might be worthwhile. But for me it only saves on power with a slight increase in performance. Even if overclocked it's probably only a few FPS difference to what I already have.
I'm gonna upgrade my 290X.
It's slightly faster, will OC better, which makes it a decent upgrade, and draw a lot less power.
Then upgrade to Vega and toss it in my secondary rig.
In the presentation they mentioned 2.1ghz but it throttles like a nigger in a job queue at even 2ghz.
>keked
You have to go back to Sup Forums
>Prices are lowering
>Definitely not because of the RX 480 offering the same performance for 200$
Delusional
>>>/oven/
>GTX 1070 is $379
See, this is all you Sup Forums shitposters can do.
If you're going to post on Sup Forums, don't bring Sup Forums culture with you. at the very least try to post Sup Forums's board culture. Here is a stallman for example.
why is the fury x not more popular? (or is it popular?) in these benchmarks it seems bretty gud
i passed on the fury because
>4gb vram
got a 390 instead because from my experience lack of ram is the first thing thatll give you problems in the long run
>reference
Ok nice to know its not an issue for 99% of gpu users then
Jayz2cents is hostile towards AMD, e.g.
Hard ocp is belligerent against AMD.
I don't think it's a matter of shilling, just plain old butthurt.
Lol it's weaker than a 980
and also out of stock everywhere.
And you idiots can't seem to understand supply issues and paper launch.
>WHAT DO NOW NVIDIOTS?
we clearly keep playing with the card that isn't less than halfway down the list
>4k
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
What kind of games are these guys testing?
I've literally seen one benchmark where the fury x comes on top over the 980ti. And that's Aosts.
>butthurt
>jayztwocents
>mom! I posted out of my ass again xD !
>Sapphire RX480 has 6+8 pin.
Unfortunately..... Nope
Im rooting for AMD just to stay relevent for competiton sake but pic related is the 8gb RX 480 Nitro from Sapphire. 1 6 Pin
Lmao I start to think those weeks of shitposting about 480 getting miles ahead of 980 were there just to make us hate AyyMDrones even more. Also OP, sarcastic shitposting is still shitposting.
I'm finding it completely baffling how these idiots keep taking the same comparison chart of a card that isn't even halfway up the list below older cards it should naturally outperform, and claim it somehow beats anything above it.
And then you make dozens of threads about it.
Price is no longer a point you can make when the chart is about benchmarking
>"Additionally, the render of Sapphire’s own RX 480 reference design was also revealed. It appears that the front shroud will be painted in white, while the back will receive a fancy backplate. The Radeon side logo will be replaced by Sapphire’s."
That is a reference card m8 not the Nitro.
>paper launch
there you go again, with words you don't know
>Literally comparing a 2 years old card with a card that has yet to come out.
>AMD literally eating scraps after every Nvidia master played his games on ultra for 2 years
Can't wait for 1060 gtx to shit all over your GPU and you waiting another 2 years to bring us another DoA GPU that for a month was better than an old Nvidia lineup.
That's the Sapphire reference RX 480. Sapphire is preparing 2/3 versions (ugly pic related). And the MSI is also leaked. Reference vs non reference is going to have 15-20% performance difference.
Nice joke Pajeet
Price/Performance charts are a joke senpai and that's why AMDrones cling to them. Majority of AAA titles heavily favor Nvidia but because AMD cards get good scores in some dx12 indie shovelware and gain 3 fps over Nvidia in 1440p/4k while still hovering in unplayable 30-40 fps they look better on paper.
Threadly reminder that Kyle is a butthurt faggot who should off himself.
I WILL LITERALLY BUY RX 480 AND NVIDIOTS LITERALLY CAN'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. LITERALLY KYS FAGGOTS.
Nah I'm serious AMDrones should be gunned down or at least perma banned from Sup Forums. This is EA tier of shilling and misinforming potential buyers. Can't wait for all those retards following performance charts finding out that their 4K gaming advantage still isn't playable.
The MIS was proved to be fake. MSI already reached out and infomred about eh so called chip hell leak. There is no 6+8 connector on the MSI card.
Would you mind giving source of MSI responding to the leak? The whole Chinese forum benchmarks has been weird, but last thing confirmed was that the cooler was modified for NDA reasons.
WHO WILL WIN
I love how people here are taking the $200 pricetag as granted. Decent RX480 will end up costing at least as much as 390 now.
And it will be at least 250€ in Europe for the shittiest one.
Bear with me here, for the sake of things we dont actually know
>we dont know if these scores are anything close to reality
>we dont know the specs or price point for a 1060
>the 1080 and 1070 score ~10k and 8k respectively
>the 1060 and 1050 might score 6k and 4k if the pattern holds
And fuck me I responded to bait seriously, 7/10
>1070
>45% more performance
>85% more price
NviDEAD
AMD is always ridiculously overpriced in Europe cuz of Slavs mining bitcoins. And I don't mean just the average 3-4 months of sellers jewing out impatient buyers - I mean card being unavailable or being too expensive for years.
It might also have something to do with $200 being without 20% tax and import fees.
Bitcoin mining days with graphics card are long gone. Shops were selling AMD cards with high discounts because after the bubble burst, nobody wanted them and they stocked up with loads.
It may be the worst card of all time, but at least it's cheap!
AMD IS FINISHED AND BANKRUPT
Could be. I remember that when I was still interested in AMD cards around 200 and 300 series they were heavily overpriced cuz of miners.
The RX 480 is barely enough for VR.
As comparison look at those scores.
sup
Uhm, Thanks for proving my point retard? Is majority of AMD shillls on Sup Forums posting from India?
>$570 for the lowest end, reference type model
Christ almighty I hope that's including VAT and other taxes
Getting really tired of these threads.
Polaris is supposed to carry the next iteration of GCN stream processors targeting a mainstream audience at a range of $100 to $300.
It was never meant to compete in the higher performance range.
The only real, and I type it loosely, benchmark we have of any Polaris card is the RX480 with Raja at Computex. Doing some numbers here and there, we can expect it to compete or maybe even surpass the 390 and the 970 for $200.
Recent events at E3 show the RX470 and the RX460. The former being cut down Polaris 10 judging from the PCB and the RX460 being Polaris 11. In other words, the RX480 is the highest performing card in the Polaris lineup.
Since they mentioned a range of $100-$300, it puts the RX460 at a $100 and the RX470 at about $150. The latter one is very interesting. If you remember, the 7850 was a pretty cute overclocker and it was cut Pitcarn(Pitcarn PRO). If the RX470 follows, then we might have a nice card that can match the RX480 with a little OC and $50 less, making it a killer at its price.
The RX480 on the other hand is definitely within the last generation of lower high end cards, possibly surpassing them. Benchmarks point to above 390x performance, but I'm personally skeptical about it. It will be another amazing price to performance card.
If you're running anything on or above the 970 or the 390, then I would be waiting for something like Vega or fatter Pascal. The truth is that while the 1070 is an amazing card for its price, it doesn't deliver all of the high frames at 1440p or 60fps on 4K. This lineup of Pascal is very disappointing and it feels like nothing new. Look at the true Pascal line, they're monstrous chips with HBM and all that good shit. We are stuck with these chips that aren't really anything new except a little better than the 980Ti.
Also, reminder that you should WAIT FOR BENCHMARKS.
iirc, that is by design. The actual minimum was deliberately chosen to be the r9 290x, and this card is supposed to roughly match that performance but use much less power.
ay
thanks AMD
The top price is with tax, bottom one without.
I think the main thing to take away from this is that AMD's new card is half as fast as Nvidia's.
