You just want it free delivered to your home, am I right?

Has anyone ever gotten an old 286 machine set up to shitpost?

Not tried but this should be easy.

Years (decades) ago i made some money with buying 286 Laptops for cheap, install some GUI and modem drivers and sell it as proper Internet machines. It's not quite not a big deal.

Looks pretty nice, de-yellow it.

Thinking about it. I fly to Spain for holiday in Thursday. When I'm back I have to fight yellowing on some more machines and Keyboards...

You can, done it, you need Sup Forums plus, can't captchas.

That's a shit trolling attempt

This so much, just get a fucking XPS 13 if you need to fill your void, why get these piles of garbage with no practical or monetary value to blow your time on?

Maybe Arachne can handle recaptcha.

Underage user, please.
Quick go to Sup Forums, I can hear them asking for your guidence. And let the grown people play with real tech.

>garbage = real tech
Fuck off back to /vr/

>Only use of a computer is games
Your post.

Looks cool, gj.
Anyway what's with all the hate ? How can people be so upset against this hobby ?

Edgee. Go back to Sup Forums now pls.

does anyone else have this problem?
my old compaq color crt monitor (14" iirc) started turning itself off after some time of use. i used it in my old pc and i use it now for testing old hardware etc
when it turns off its just the screen, so you gotta press the power button to actually turn the device off, wait for some time and then turn it on again. also before it happens for the first time, the picture starts to flicker a bit and moves to the right side of the screen (like when you turn the position wheels), i guess this is due to overheating of some sorts/failing components
after some time of turning it off, waiting and turning it on again, it just turns off as soon as you press the button, so it becomes unusable
can it be saved?

Idk. Maybe it's not elitist enough because even the poorest poorfag can afford it.
Maybe these people hate tech in general.
You can learn so much about Computer with this hobby, you can be creative and it's fun to use something else than generic modern PC.

Nope, tried Arachne

>bestdadever.jpg

Damn. Tried mosaic on Win?

If it wasn't for that printer in the background, i would have thought this was taken in 1988.

Someone likes Bifi

I also made a Polaroid, it looks really oldschool.

Yes.

Can't wait to get home to my Apple IIe. Gonna put summa dat hydrogen peroxide cream on it and keep it it a dark, dank corner.

Nice. I'm not into Apple but they made some awesome machines.

I used to play the shit out of the c64 version of that game.

I still do it today. I can't get the music out of my head.

I posted in the other thread when I started with the retrobrighting, now I'm almost done, looks so great.

Yeah, they really knew how to make em back before memes became dreams.

Yeah I think I remember your post. I can't wait to clean it up and start playing around with it. Old hardware is so heavily documented that I might actually learn how a computer works the same way my dad did when he worked for IBM.

An actual technology thread? Nice.

you sure like your meat sticks

>Old hardware is so heavily documented that I might actually learn how a computer works
Yeah, you learn much more using old tech then today's.

Yes. You can learn much more than with actual generic Fisher Price PC.

You're a good dad. Please continue posting OC and bringing the board quality up.

Thanks m8, what can I say... week needs an extra day...

If the ppc512 in op is finished, I will take a deeper look on the bondwell b200. some capacitor died when i tried it. It was underpowered even when it came out, but I would love to write on a Notebook with blue MX.
