Bumpoo

The universe is unfathomably large and, if it can even be said to have a center, it is highly improbable that Earth is anywhere near it

I like that web app that they have on the main screen.

eyes.nasa.gov/dsn/dsn.html

earth is at the center of the observable universe

I didn't mean it literally. It's what that room in JPL is called, cause you've got data coming in from all the space

Nice never knew this existed.

yes, from the perspective of citizens of earth

This is true for any point in the universe tho.

>center of the universe
There is no such thing.

Guy driving the Curiosity Rover

Are they using Solaris?

Yes I believe

I am the center of the observable universe

Suck it

>not running the program from Soyuz on your old DOS machine

>What's inpu?

inpu is the software used by the popular soviet (and russian) Soyuz spacecraft (youtu.be/LTflOstC1Ec?t=4m46s). This is the training version for cosmonauts but essentially the same software. This version is from 2002, but newer versions most likely exist and yes, it's also featured in Gravity.

>How to get it running

go to
astronaut.ru/bookcase/prog.htm
click on
"пpoгpaммoй"
unzip the file and run inpu.exe in dosbox

>runs on dos
>has live video stream
how?

> Willingly running commie botnet on your machine
> Not running the Apollo 11 source code on your personal space craft

ISHYGDDT

Why are there a ton of assholes taking pictures?
this guy looks like he just wants to fucking work

Not everyone gets to visit the place from downstairs... Public tours only take you on the top deck

And yep that guy really worked. He was commanding for about 2.5 hrs

>still using CDE

>dark room
>probably warm
>probably low hum of equipment in background

Looks incredibly comfy.

> Data flowing in every second
> Graphs moving around
> Feeds from antennas all over the world

It is comfy

That is OpenWindows iirc

holy shit the resemblance is uncanny

Nope, this is

I think it's pretty amazing we still get data from Voyager considering how old and far away it is

If you believe that sort of thing, I have a bug free and 100% safe operating system I want you to buy.

Because they both are CDE.

Man this reminds me of my prop trader days.
>10 monitors
>3 different exchanges
>fixed income, equities, energies, sorts and AGS
>full size headphones, 3 different squawks
>6 different tweetdeck columns
>comfy chair
>scarf and hoody, half asleep 50% of the time
>shitposting on Sup Forums while making bank

It used to feel like you were at the centre of the world with the amount of information constantly flowing in. Feels like leaving was a mistake now.

I had a roommate like that. He was pulling some decent cash. Do you think that it is something that anyone can get into?

A couple other cool ones.

By definition, everybody is in the center of the universe at all times.

Wow, get of my Sup Forums

>updating because hurr no reasons
if it works, don't fix it
specially if it's a multi million dollar thing that can brake

cause you're fat?

Wrong guy
Meant to reply to

Every point in the universe is the center of the universe.

that's gorgeous but the upper left is 12 panes of ping -c 2000 sat.ip.addr

What software did you use to show the stocks (or whatever prop trading is)?
I want something cool looking to throw up on my third monitor for people to look at and think I'm cool, I don't even care whether or not I know how to use it.

gotta ping 'em all
