at home i around 500gb per month.
but i have a seedbox for uploading, otherwise my traffic would be higher. no datacap.

on my phone i use 4gb per month, i set it to disable the internet once i hit the cap.

what are you doing with 2.5tb of data every month, op? just movies and stuff or actual work?

Everything. I have a reasonably fast connection, so I host my own cloud service, seed all my torrents off my home connection, stream movies, work, and the list goes on.

I've been thinking about ditching my VPS and moving my webserver to my home connection too, but I'm thinking I should probably get a dedicated machine of some sort for that. Maybe a NUC.

>moving my webserver to my home connection
madman

i'm still browsing with a 16mbit connection, i feel like i'd use a lot more traffic if i had a faster connection. hd movies for example. i have enough storage, but with a connection this slow i can't justify downloading 20gb for a single movie.

>i'm still browsing with a 16mbit connection
How horrifying. I'm on a ~340/70 Mbps (paying for 300/60, mind) connection here and wishing for more. My ISP is working on getting 500/60 Mbps to all addresses, which is a rather tempting upgrade, but without more up speed I'm not sure if it's worthwhile.

I've already reached the point where I have to download torrents with more than 1-2 files to my SSD because my HDDs are too slow to keep up. Probably NTFS's fault.

Pay for 16mbit
Only get around 12mbit
fml my life

200gb for just league and youtube

which country? japan? norway?
i think here in germany 100/100 is the maximum for private households, at least i haven't seen anything better.
in most places you're lucky if you get 50. some places are still on 2-6mbit, so it could be worse.
i thought i was living in the first world

i feel you

Life's good.

HOARDER

resident of Germany's poorest city here, get 100 down, 6 up, next biggest city gets 200 down 16 up

i must live in a really shitty place then.

Denmark, ISP is YouSee.

100/100 is generally only available from fiber ISPs here, but it's on the lower end of the spectrum for those, most offer up to 1000/1000. Sadly no fiber in my area, I have to make do with DOCSIS.

But hey, my ISP is working on getting 10/10 Gbps on DOCSIS for 2018. Exciting.

I'm honestly surprised there are shittier cities than mine, do you live in a village or something?

Maybe 300gb by myself I got a 30/10 connection

>in the top ten of countries with the fastest average speeds

i'm jealous. i'm moving to another city soon where most people there get 50mbit and up, but of course the house i picked only gets up to 25 and my isp is refusing to sell me anything other than 16.

seems like i have really bad luck, i hope that i get your speeds within the next 10 years or so. after i'm done with university i'm definitely going to pick my future home based on the internet speeds, i was considering the netherlands.

bawü, but it's not that small of a city. i expected more, i've been with this connection for over 10 years and nothing changed. i can't wait for fiber

>southern Germany
well that doesn't really count as first world country anyway. HB here.

5mbps downspeed with 300gb cap.

Sweden 100/100 Mb/s no cap
I stopped watching 2d so it's maybe ~200GB per month now from 2TB
(delete show after Ive seen it)

Between 200gb and 500 gb a month which is over the cap.
Its fucking horrible and I dont see how this country has "first world" status.
>mfw "americans dont want fast internet"

20Mbps up and down, no caps though.

>But hey, my ISP is working on getting 10/10 Gbps on DOCSIS for 2018
source?

Last I heard, at least in regards to US DOCSIS was DOCSIS 3.1 getting limited deployment by the end of 2016 DOCSIS 3.1 providing 10/1gbps.
Full Duplex DOCSIS 3.1 (10/10Gbps) is still being researched and has no current expected deploy date.

I don't have a data cap but I don't use data like I used to. Work cuts into my Sup Forums and masturbating time.

though Im only 1 out of 4 in my house, and we're pushing our throughput to the max, upgrading to 100mbps/30mbps next month, gon be gud

1 Gbit expected to be common by 2017, 10 Gbit expected to be coming 2018. It's been up in a few other Danish news outlets and such too.

what that really means is in Q4 2018 there will be a small town or village with 10/10gbps, then by 2020 maybe it will start hitting other cities.

Yeah, most likely. I don't think I'll be getting 10/10 Gbit when it's available either. It would just be bottlenecked to shit with my hardware, and me being the only user there's not much point in that.
I'm excited for it because it might pave the way for symmetrical connections in general on DOCSIS and lower prices for lower tiers, though. Maybe they'll have affordable 1/1 Gbit once they start rolling out 10/10 Gbit to some small village.

not much apparently
no data cap though

Last I checked, I had used 2.3TB over 40 days. I was sucking down daily full backups of my VPSs. That number will probably go up this month since I started doing daily full backups to ACD.

No data cap and 50/50mbit

~2Tb/month
>How is life with a data cap ?
Pretty comfy if u're not a seedbox cuck.

>mfw italy
10 mb with cancerous routing to foreign countries is the best you can get outside big cities

>enable traffic meter on router
>speed drops from 940mbit to 650
What the fuck is this shit?

A shitty router.

...

India here, I'm 40/40 (leeching off someone else's WiFi, so it's usually 5-30Mbit due to low signal) and 8Mbit/512KBit on my own.

Do you get any Wi-Fi coverage on your designated street?

>Having a data cap in 2016

>host own cloud service

U got a static IP son?
