ex-iphone 6 plus user here. It's true, battery life is fucking dogshit even on the plus models. I could barely make it to the end of the day with my iPhone despite not using it much. Now I only charge my zenfone 2 every 2 days if I use it a lot else it lasts me 3 days sometimes.

For an optimized OS and whatnot something is very wrong with iOS.

I've heard that if you're been using iOS across several phones in the past, and you restore data from a backup of your old phone each time, eventually the phone gets slower and battery life gets worse. Apparently just factory resetting helps a lot.
