quads?

witnessed

yes

...

Quads don't lie.
Hyped af for this card.

Not me since im on a 980, but its really good price/perf for people on older cards

Next upgrade for me will be 1440p freesync + Zen + Vega next year

...

No, I'm not a pedophile. I like real women like GTX 1080.

yes I'm pairing it with my old i7 950

I'm actually trying to decide between the 470 and 480, depending on what the final price will be here in Europe.

I wouldn't be too surprised it you could end up being able to unlock a 470 into a 480 since it is based on a binned 480.

470 looks great too

Most likely around 970~ performance without the gimped vram or gimped dx12 performance

I'm quite happy with my 290 Vapor-X, so I'll be waiting for Vega.
The 480 is phenomenal bang-for-buck though, if the rumors are true. Hell, even if it delivers GTX 970 performance it'd still be undercutting the 970 by about 100 bucks, and all while consuming less power.

>Vega may hit sooner so amd could at least try to stay in the competition
Hate the waiting meme to be honest.

Yes, I'm really poor, I barely have anything to eat typically, so the RX480 suits my perfectly.

Thanks AMD!

The idea this is only slightly better than a 970 at a marginally lower price is literally unbelievable. I won't believe that until I see it on the 29th. It's been almost two years since the 970's release and that was on 28nm.

No, just no. It will have to be 390x/980/nano or better perf to not fail.

Any chance of a lowpro? The 750ti being the best lowpro is a bit sad.

You survived very long without a housefire.

460 is something like 50w or so

And it costs what, 180$ for the 8gb?

That's insane.

3 fans and 2.5 slots, dude. Needs all the cooling it can get, but it's surprisingly quiet.

>The idea this is only slightly better than a 970 at a marginally lower price is literally unbelievable. I won't believe that until I see it on the 29th. It's been almost two years since the 970's release and that was on 28nm.

It supposedly be between 980 and 980ti levels. On par with the Fury, more or less.

>290 Vapor-X
>Vapor-X
>housefire
fuckin lol

>It supposedly be between 980 and 980ti levels. On par with the Fury, more or less.

In your dreams AMDrone

290 was only a housefire card if you used stock coolers, which was useless.

On that note, the stock cooler for 480 doesn't even have heat pipes, and yet the card reaches 72C max...

It has no heat pipes, it doesn't even have a copper base, and its a tiny heat sink over all.

The Polaris 10 die is super power efficient.
High end Vega will probably draw 200w~

I need the form factor. Not too worried about power draw. I want to slap a nice card in an optiplex 3020 and htpc it.

Going to get one to upgrade my gtx 660 sli

Im optimistic. Im planning on building a new rig with zen and the non refrence card when reviews for both come out

>72C max
Like MJ innocence it's ALLEGED, allegedly 72c, allegedly.

We'll see how hot this poo will get once people start playing some games.

No

>it's ALLEGED, allegedly 72c, allegedly.

We have videos of the card under a thermal monitor, reaching 72c max.

Michael dindu nuffin the kids was hitting on him

yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if I could just run it passive in a case that has ok ventilation..

MJ had stunted mental growth due to his youth in showbiz. He was a literal manchild. This is a documented fact - there are interviews with women who went to bed with him and MJ only wanted to watch bugs bunny all night.

The only thing he wanted to do with other kids was to watch Captain Planet and play the Sega Genesis together. Unfortunately he was a rich celebrity, which meant that this behaviour was enough to get sued for pedophilia.

you ain't got shit nigga aside from a few leaks peddle by currytech

Yeah, it's pretty much confirmed that the 480 will be on par with the 980ti/Titan X Superclocked.

you amd shills are pathetic

It's like foure teslas stuck together with cellotape

You're just mad that my 120$ 480 will beat your 1999$ Titan X, ncuck.

you'll be laughing hard when they lift the NDA tomorrow.

The 480 won't even beat the gtx 980, let alone a 980ti.

I am sorry but you must have dementia praecox or rectal herpes to be this delusional.

Looks like someone's jealous of my quantum VR chipset that could very will be folding and molding protein strands in mere seconds in it's spare time.

Nah, you are just buttmad that you got KEKED by nshitia. I don't have the korean benchmark, but some user will probably post that chart with the 4Gb 480 CRUSHING the 1080.
It's basically confirmed that the 480 is faster than the 1080.

>False-flagging this hard
Fuck off.

But the 480 is literally the saviour of gaming for people (that arent retards) that dont want to spend $600 on a GPU

for the cheapness it is fucking amazing, but quality definitely shill out the cash for the gtx 1080

Or you can crossfire the 480's...

But I have a gtx 580?

youtube.com/watch?v=T0b-lBEkfjg

>SLOWER THAN GTX 970

AYYMDPOORFAGS CONFIRMED ON SUICIDE WATCH

check'em

I really don't have a reason to upgrade from my 390. Pretty neat though.

>Fake 480
>16GB vs 8
>High end Intel core vs some random shit

J
U
S
T

right, 599 for the 1080, 520 for the two radeons, I would rather still just have the 1080, but like I said the 480 is still not bad, definitely way worth then what it is priced at

Of course it's the saviour of gaming. At 100$ beating a Quadro 6000 makes it pretty obvious.

>manual overclock vs stock
i can't xD hard enough.

You mean these

yes, ima poorfag, but for 200 dollar, this is the best shit outthere. And this shit is without drivers yet, so yeah, im going to buy the rx480

This made my think.

Is a 490 planned?

I think it will probably be like between the 480 and the 1080 for $350-400.

Would be pretty sweet

Havent seen this vintage meme in ages, thanks

already confirmed fake though-

/thread

I bet this is you samefagging desu

...

Beautiful.
Saved.

I starting to think that this kind of nonsense is the latest entry on nvidia's shilling manuals.

There are lot of fanbois actually expecting this card to surpass the 980Ti's (Fury X too) and get in the range of the new 10xx cards and at its current advertised price point. This overhype will only serve to kill what could be (from a cautious belief on the latest rumors) a pretty solid product.

The 480 will probably be a very decent, budget gpu. It reminds me of the 4850/5950.

But why are you people spreading all this nonsense about it beating a high-end gpus?

>AMD

I'm excited for everyone. My 670 die prematurely and a 970 was at $270 a few months ago so I had to pull the trigger. It ended being the right choice since I never imagined ever switching to Linux on the desktop and the current driver performance on AMD cards. Polaris is looking to deprecate the entire GPU market with the 1070 as the goto high end card from this generation in case you want a little more performance. $200 gives you the high end from last generation, $150 gives you low high end from last generation and might be a great overclocker, and sub $100 gives you a cute card that will be THE entry level card for the casuals of all casuals while being cute as fuck. I hope they fix Linux drivers, I will hop on the Vega train with freesync as my next upgrade and maybe even Zen while I'm at it.

Panties are literally dripping with the idea of a cool running, cute itx card for $200ish

>korean benchmarks

I thought it was lifted in a week?

>Sup Forums falling for false flag troll
kek

wccftech.com/amd-polaris-radeon-r9-490x-490-june/

That turned out to be partially right late June for 480 instead of 490.

gonna get a 480 to replace my 970 so i can try the freesync meme, overclock the shit out of it, then get a vega card when they drop

>wccftech
Polaris is mainstream. $300-$500 is not mainstream. They're not doing fat Polaris chips. They'll probably skip that price point and go super high end with Vega and HBM2 starting at $600.

470 doesn't need a pci-e, small chance there's a low profile. With the popularity of HTPC cases it could happen though.

Will the 480 become obsolete when Vega releases?

My 750ti is probably dying soon and 480 seems a beast for $200 but i dont want to run every game in 2017 on low settings in 480p

Im fine with my 4790k/980ti rig until i get a 6800k/sli titan V rig going.

Just kill yourself already.

I am now supersatan

Of course not. Look at the prices for fuck's sake. You could pick a 480 and run 1080p forever. 470 will also probably do. Maybe look at the 460 as well since it's looking like the 750Ti killer.

Autism detected

when do you think the reference versions will show up? I think buying a sapphire 480 would be a very good idea. With the kind of tdp it has, a reference cooler will be virtually silent.

>Maybe look at the 460 as well since it's looking like the 750Ti killer.

The 460 is more like the Integra killer because there is literally no reason to run on integrated cards now that such a cheap and good card is in the stores

Soon i hope. If the stock cooler is not completely silent on idle i ain't buying shit.

The x60 cards are at this price point; 200-300.
The RX 480 will compete with them.

Whatever gains past Nvidia's current x60 cards, and its next iteration, should be our main concern, not what their relative performance against higher tiered cards that are literally double its price point. The closer they get towards those cards are gains that should reflect Polaris' strengh, but when the idiots start to lose track of it real market segment, it'll come as perceived weakness after the benchmarks reveal that they won't win against a motherfucking 980ti or a 1070.

Looks like a pretty decent replacement for my aging 270, especially since I don't want to drop more than $300 on a vidya gaym device

By the way, this is Polaris 11, i.e. the RX460 and the future mobile chips for laptops and whatnot.

Pcper talks way too fucking much, but the too long;didn't watch is that it's performing just as well as the 950 while drawing 70 watts less. It's whole system power consumption, but it's something to keep in mind. It's also going to be cheaper given that Polaris is mainstream.

I still have a 7870, what would be the upgrade for me, I plan to keep using my 1080p monitor for at least, another two years.

amd started to shoot flames already lel

twitter.com/AMDRadeon/status/745979045419094016

RX470 or RX480 easily.

yes

I'm probably going to upgrade from a gtx 770 2gb/fx 6300 4.2ghz to this and the i5 6500

I'm excited for these cards and I'm not even going to buy one. Good shit AMD, you always get me hyped, but you haven't been delivering. Please change that with Polaris.

quality shitposting from youtube

youtube.com/watch?v=aFzp2nKbAuM

well polaris is the first gpu lisa is launching..she has done quite a lot

Not directly, since it's probably not much of an upgrade over my 970, but indirectly it should help to bring better price/performance in the mid range at least.
