Addons

Why do retards on Sup Forums use 50 privacy addons like 'smart referrer, noscript, user agent spoofer, etc', when you can just use uMatrix?

Iridium browser + uMatrix + 90k line hosts file master race reporting in.

Your epeen sounds huge bro tell me all about it

Why would a hosts file ever need to be that big

Having such a large hosts file negatively affects a whole bunch of things, why do that when uMatrix already has host lists built into it. So the only retard I see is you OP.
Also Iridium Browser is a botnet, check out some topics on HN with the proof.

the jews

if you can't into dns i guess

post the list of your etc/hosts please

How often do you audit or prune that hosts file, and is it under version control?

chromium + ublock with fanboy's ultimate master race

ublock was owned by an american company...
seriously just don't use internet browser...

probably redirecting all ads server to localhost

Ungoogled Chromium with uBlock Origin + uMatrix is pretty nice too. If only Self-Destructing Cookies and CanvasBlocker were ported to Chromium, though.

Today OP is not a faggot.

free software foundation is an american company
microsoft is an american company
apple is an american company
FreeBSD Foundation is an american company
no OS is safe

protip: don't redirect to localhost, then you have to wait for a timeout.

instead, redirect to 0.0.0.0, it's a purely invalid address and most kernels won't even try to connect.

I do have to agree, btw. DNS-level blocking is the way to go.

My mom was not smart enough to realize when her ad-blocker was breaking websites, so I put in a router at my folks place with openbsd and I use unbound with dnscrypt, and there's a script floating around github that will take the someonewhocares list and turn it into unbound local-data entries.

So now my mom gets ad-blocking without website breakage. Win-win.

What font user?

Contiki is Swedish, use Contiki!

yeah I redirect there

pragmata pro

actually 0.0.0.0

i use a script which runs every week and it uses sed to remove duplicate lines, if your interested you can find it here:

Use dnsmasq instead of hosts.

Search on github for FreeContributor.

>hosts file negative....
I haven't noticed a decrease in performance

umatrix is so I can block css from websites except the one im visiting, scripts from all websites, cookies from all websites except the one im visiting, block hyperlink auditing. use strict https, and spoof http referrer.

about iridium being botnet:
github.com/iridium-browser/iridium-browser/issues/55 read this

how does that work

do you have to make your own dns server?

Yes. But that's really easy. FreeContributor installs/download/parse the filters for you.

>'smart referrer, noscript, user agent spoofer, etc
All three of those addons do different things and only noscript is covered by uMatrix.

>pastebin.com/Xjsvvidh
that is one gnarly sed command

So their solution was to not call iridium but to call google

>only noscript and agent spoofer are covered in umatrix

Fix'd

Looks okay to me

>umatrix supports spoofing referrer and disable per site
>umatrix can block more than just scripts
>umatrix can spoof your user agent
