CRT still strong

Frame rate: 60–85 fps typically, some CRTs can go even higher (200 fps at reduced resolution)
Better blacks, superfast response time, excellent colors.

So why are you buying overpriced gaymur 144hz TN garbage?

the colors aren't that great. The response time is good tho

does crt monitors consume more energy than lcd monitors?

very nice video, i like this kid

Yes, unfortunately they do

>no high resolution
>no widescreen
Yeah that's pretty much why.

fuckton more

>muh 1080p

>le 1080p maymay

>tfw no SED monitor ever

Well excuuuse me for wanting to flex my graphics card's nuts.

>144 hz TN
this isnt Sup Forums

and unless you present me a 40 in CRT that can do 4k res that isnt 500lb and 3 feet deep i dont want anything to do with them.

You're all fucking retarded

CRTs capable of >1080p widescreen resolutions were around while LCDs were still 1280x1024 at most, in fact high resolution was an upside to CRTs for a very, very long time until 1440p displays recently started becoming more common.

but there are high res. Sony FW900 was a 24'' displaying 2304x1440 @ 160Hz

>1300 dollars on eBay
Yeah.
That's why.

I'll get it when I get a steady job or when I graduate.

Here you go. Almost portable.

I paid like $5 for my W900

Just put some caster wheels on it and it's perfectly portable.

Where and when?

Enjoy your ionizing radiation.

>re-line with lead every two months
>problem solved

Surplus shop with a recycle operation around 2013-2014ish, environmental regulations mean recycling CRTs is a shit deal so they'll take whatever you offer them pretty much.

15-35w vs 90-150w.

Yes they do.

There are widescreen CRTs you idiot.

Because I can't find an FW900 anywhere. Why doesn't Sony make them anymore? I would pay 1500€ for a brand new model.

Only on Sup Forums will I find a thread for shilling fucking CRT monitors, of all things...

Haven't used a CRT since 2005. The good ol days

No 4k
Shipping costs more than the actual product itself

CRT still strong yes, but in the past 4 years alone became extrememly hard to get. You can still buy NIB monitors for a decent price but those are the dead stock shit 1024/768 ones or the 1280x1024 HPs. Actual great monitors like the fw900 command a high price premium.

Reminds me when we all tried getting IBM T220/T221s before 3840x2160 hit the market. Now those are nearly impossible to get as well.
