No I bought a 70€ one.

>other people's minor purchases make me feel inadequate and poor

meh I got a flagship for 360$ tax included 4 years ago
Note 2 with Verizon unlimited data
still use it as a daily driver with Official CM13 nightlies 7-5-2016

Hey asshole sometimes I play billiards and solitaire too

No, I download a few ecchi pictures every day

Did they died?

>implying web browsing isn't one of the most CPU intensive tasks

What's the story behind this gif? Why was the interior of the car so flamable?

Huffing and hit lit the lighter afterward. Literally translates to:

The Huffington Post

Install gentoo

The snapdragon 820 is similar to a 2520m in performance according to geekbench multiplatform. Take that, the obscenely convenient form factor, battery life, good camera, expandable storage maybe, butt load of ram, all the different sensors, high end GSM/CDMA modem and you can get close to justifying that. Also;
>He doesn't have an XP elite
>He doesn't carry his broadband connection and desktop in his pocket
>laughinggirls.tiff

>Huffington Post

I can't fucking breath

I got a LG G4 for $200 in mint condition.

I had a moto g2 and it was so slow, unreliable, and low on battery and such a shitty signal that it literally caused me to miss 2 job interviews, cheap concert tickets, getting laid, as well as getting my friend to the hospital.

At some point you pay for and tech in one way or another. This isn't a game of saving RAM with LXDE or benchmarking Witcher 3 with some water-cooled shit, this is real life with tech inhibiting it.

Neither can they

smartphones are literally useless

I wish someone would stop focusing on the performance meme and make something useful. Like a phone that's actually waterproof or can take more than a waist high fall without breaking.

Now look up the breakdowns of the scores. Mobile scores are inflated by crypto instructions, actual performance is like 1/4 of that.

I got a A$200 one and it's fucking incredible.

Redmi 3 pro is insane for the price.

Oukitel looks nice too, might upgrade to the k6000 premium if it impresses me

>geekbench
It got so popular that ARM processors now have hardware support for that benchmark to crazy inflate the score.

SD820 would probably be closer to e6600 or therabouts, which is still quite impressive for a mobile cpu imo, but not as much as you faggots claim.

You pic is honestly the evolution of office computers. Perfect way to take work with you. If your job consists of basic office software (writing memos, working on spreadsheets, emailing clients, etc) there's no reason phones (especially newer flagships) couldn't handle it. Add a headset and you could answer calls with the push of a button on your keyboard.

>he is poor

lmao

People that think expensive phones aren't worth the money never had one. That is a fact.

>If your job consists of basic office software (writing memos, working on spreadsheets, emailing clients, etc) there's no reason phones (especially newer flagships) couldn't handle it
They can't even scroll them smoothly, and you suggest editing. Maybe in the future. Displays, kb and mouse can already be hooked up wirelessly.

>he bought a $600 dollar phone to call, text and browse the internet on
Bullshit. I don't call people.

Name a cheap phone that can do so

One that isn't a shitty chink brand, windows phone, and has the appropriate 4gb Ram for clover use

What do you do with yours?

>not paying $600 for Sony Vegas Pro 13
Seems worth it.

>browse the internet on

God no. Can't stand browsing on mobile devices.

>Like a phone that's actually waterproof

Maybe if we ever get rid of data cables.

Not sure, but it sounds like it was extremely painful...for them:

>he bought a $600 dollar phone to call, text and browse the internet on
Nope, to do other stuff too like messing around with those programs that track cell tower locations, other sensor stuff.

Also, for

...

Pretty much, yeah.
Takes sick pictures.

Considering I had a shitty Symbian phone for the past 5-9 years, I think I did pretty good for myself.

I don't worry about storage because I jammed a 200GB microSD in there. I don't worry about battery or charging because the battery is removable, and USB-C charges fast as fuck. So does Qi charging.

I don't even use apps.

I bought an s7, yeah I overspent but I did on an item I know I spend at least a couple of hours a day directly interacting (and the rest indirectly).

If it's nice from an esthetic pov, comfortable to use, etc sure I overspend but I don't regret spending on a phone being such an integral part of modern life.

Nexus 5 = $140 on amazon

>bought a 2015 android for $50 when it came out
>still as buttery smooth as day 1
>battery still lasts for days
Feels good man

I don't call, but yeah.

Nope, I purchased the botnet meme Fone for 135 :^)

...

>Windows Phone
>I don't even use apps.

That goes without saying.

whats the point of pinching pennies on a device you will use every single day ?

is this some twist on the
>he got 8gb of ram
meme ?

kek

Yes, what about it?

Since when does 160=600?

Nope. They released a statement saying that they were fine

$1500 here.

No a 100usd windows phone.
I can do everything flawlessly.

What's the point of overpaying for a device you will never use to its full potential?
Why pay $600 for top of the line specs when a $100 phone will do everything you need it to do and more?
Also why do people feel the need to "upgrade" to a new phone every year or two when their current device still works great?

thats like 2 months phone bill

>What's the point of overpaying for a device you will never use to its full potential?
But I do, just because you don't doesn't mean nobody does.

Yeah?
Tell me how your using your dual or quad core 2Ghz+ processor and 4Gb+ ram

>ram and processor are the only advantages of a high end phone

Unfortunately he did not

Everything you said is possible already, albeit not in a really practical way.

>No, I download a few ecchi pictures every day
Same
Where do you download them from user?

I like the best of the best screen, and budget phones have shit displays

You can watch anime in HD on some of the higher end phones with bigger screens

>billiards and solitaire
user you might be a senior citizen
did you remember to take your meds?

what the fuck

>want to use one device for both personal and professional use
>"Hey guys, IT here. You get to carry around a second phone because our lawyers say we're liable if your personal devices get compromised in any way."
>have to carry around 2-3 devices at all times because normie boomers are total tech idiots
The engineer in me loves this idea but the realist says that it's a disaster waiting to happen.

>sony vegas
>actually paying for it
Let me sing you the song of my people. youtube.com/watch?v=o52goCHmrE8

I still don't get it why do older people do this.
And why phone manufacturers do this.
Instead of optimizing Android better they just cram more hardware into it.
Goddammit, my phone has better specs than my laptop, which can do so many things better.

That must be one shitty laptop

hopefully with Moore's law dying manufacturers will be forced to optimize software and batteries

>my phone has better specs than my laptop
I highly doubt it unless you got something older than a Core 2 Duo. Don't let those cheated Geekbench scores fool you.

Let me guess, you live in Australia.

Topkek

They're big guys.

>laptop
Intel Celeron 1,1GHz
Integrated Intel HD Graphics
2GBs of RAM

>android
Quadcore 1,1GHz
Don't know the GPU and honestly don't care
2GBs of RAM

And I can play Skyrim, I can photoshop and video edit on it and I can't on Android.

Plus, every GNU/Linux distro has lower min spec req. than Android, which is mobile system.

What's the catch, Sup Forums?

>what's the catch
Falling for the Megahertz myth
Assuming cell phone RAM is equal to laptop RAM
