good, you shouldn't be using google play anyways when there's fdroid.

it's an fdroid app so why does it want my shekels?

.

Your rite

Solid Explorer best

>intentionally using inferior applications

this

hey idiots

it's not what app store you use, it's EVERY app that wants your serial number

use XPrivacy on expert mode and it will alert you by function and method

>XPrivacy can prevent applications from leaking privacy-sensitive data by restricting the categories of data an application can access. XPrivacy feeds applications fake data or no data at all. It can restrict several data categories, such as contacts or location. For example, if you restrict an application's access to contacts, that application will receive an empty contacts list (don't try this with the contacts application itself without a backup). Similarly, restricting an application's access to your location will send a fake location to that application.

Still on ES over here, don't give a fuck. It just werks

Too bad, if only there was a way to not update your apps, or even just check the permissions of apps you install before installing them.

>1st world problems

>using xprivacy when you can use a vpn

you don't know what these things do

>xprivacy

stfu

Do you have more screenshots than the one on github?
However the project seems to be dead since july 2014

Why don't you homos just use NetGuard on f-droid and just deny internet connectivity on every permission excessive application on your phone?

I've been using it for quite a while now, you can also import host list to block ads\spyware\watever.

Holy fuck, Amaze got an update?

I don't see shit on Fdroid

Netguard is used by users that don't have root
If you have root use afwall as firewall

I use afwall + xprivacy

remember that if the app has root permission can bypass the firewall

/thread

>not using FX File Explorer

>tfw default file manager doesnt organize pictures and videos in alpha-numerical order
Fucking criminal.

I miss XPrivacy, can't use it on my Zenfone

So what's new? I still haven't gotten an update.

>being this fucking dumb

Anyone?

That dev didn't forget about F-droid, did he?

Never really used xprivacy, because cm, but this is enought to no trust it, and any other xposed modules.

Jesus, i imaniged they used native code and api's to manipulate the apps and system. Hooking stuff and working on top of a framework, that is not even made in java ? Dear god, ignorance is bliss.

bump

>not using superior Cabinet

>no updates

The xposed framework was never designed for security or privacy. The whole idea of xprivacy is fundamentally flawed.

I have yet to find a better file manager with all the features of "File Commander." The interface is great with encryption support, PC File Transfer and network access.

this tbqh

so good i purchased the premium

>9gag

wat

It's abandoned long ago. I don't think it's even in the play stop anymore.

Summer's in the air

SURE IS SUMMER HERE

>9GAG Pro - Features exclusively for VIP

I refuse to even think about what these "features" might be.

X-Plore all the way. Legendary file explorer both for Symbian and Android.

Pulsar wants internet permission.

Allow api.spotify.com

Deny crashalytics
.com

Simple with xprivacy

Well first you'd install a malicious app, then manually enable in xposed, then reboot, then you might be compromised.

about the same deal with NetGuard too.
you can see all the access attempts made and select which you'd like.

>implying java apps can be closed source

>can't use it on my Zenfone
Why?

so how do i use snapchat and facebook from fdroid?
"you don't" isn't a valid solution in 20xx, century of FUCKING EVERYONE HAS A PHONE

whoa that is some advanced bait. To actually go that far and pay for 9gag in january just to be able to post a screenshot of some randomapp...

why does a file manager need wifi access?

F-droid requires f-droid to sign the packages, not the developer. Someone clever could send in malware or a fake update for a popular app and trick them into signing it and putting it onto f-droid. Google play doesn't have this problem.

>9GAG Pro - Features exclusively for VIP

And what about all those file mangers on the play some that prequire location, device & app history and other ridiculous permissions?

f-droid.org/wiki/page/FAQ_-_App_Developers#What_about_signing.3F

Those ones on google play allow the developer to sign their own packages. F-droid doesn't allow developer signed packages into the f-droid store, just ones signed by f-droid. This creates a scary security risk that any package or update might not have actually been submitted by the developers.

You don't seem to or want to realize that apps on F-droid must be FOSS. Even though that doesn't guarantee security, I'd much rather trust F-droid than Google Play store.

Why can't app developers be allowed to sign their own apps?

By the way, I'm still waiting for proof that you actually discovered a malicious app on F-droid.

Just because it hasn't happened yet doesn't mean it can never happen.

>Last Update
>2015
The things been abandoned

Exactly the response I expected. Thanks for nothing.

...

F-droid has an achilles heel. I know I shouldn't expect freetards to have basic thinking skills, but damn.

Well, assuming he told the truth, even if it was like a mere 10%, out of the 50k this site supposedly does, that's 5k more people so... (plus, like facebook, all you need is a few know it alls who post all the time)

sooo just because you predicted his [otherwise legit] argument, it is now void?

(You)

By what antivirus?
for what reason?
