>people still say that ayymd doesn't have a heat problem

thermalpaste dried out is my guess

Mine is at 60C idle (fans turn off) and 71-73C load. Fucking memory doesn't clock down when my monitor is set to 144hz also.

Isn't the fans turning off thing an MSI card?

Mine idles at 60C also, probably normal with this housefire of a card desu

Load it goes to 85C

Never buy XFX, noob. lol

Do you happen to use dual monitor setup? Then just use radeon pro to fix power management bug.

No, just one monitor at 1080 @ 144hz.

My GTX970 i bought is getting 40c at idle (with the fans off, of course.)

Replace your thermal paste

some cards won't run the fan on idle to keep noise down

Mines a gigabyte g1 gaming

I'd recommend buying a new GPU or buying a kraken g10 and water cooling it for $80, it's definitely worth it in the long run. I got 29c at idle and 52 at load with my 390

>XFX
>buying reference cards with a chink cooler

Not necessarily, it has become as mainstream as LEDs.

Will the kraken g10 still allow the manufactuer backplate to be put back on?

No sadly. It's not the most aesthetic looking thing but it will cool your CPU better than any air cooler.

will it fit the reference models?

My sli 980tis don't clock down when sli enabled so they idle above 60 with fans off
Kurwa

That's all right, my 5850 idles at 80C.

52C on idle is pretty normal desu senpai

What should I buy?
