LMAO poorfags. OSX MUSTARDGAS

LOL!

...

Yeah. It sucks to be poor but I don't think the best choice for me is to spend money in an OS when I don't have to.

>Linux is for poorfags
nice meme

>2016
>OSX sucks dick and only useful on overpriced hipster cumputers.
>Windows 10 is a botnet and windows 7 is unsupported.
>Linux has no mainstream support and all distros have something wrong with them.

Pick your fucking poison, OP.

>Jeff Dean

Now that is a pornstar name if I ever heard one

What kind of support do I need for win 7?

>Pajeet Royal Support™®©

Also you're at microshill mercy if they don't gimp it or release broken updates to push you into W10.

who /anything but windows or linux/ here

currently running OS X, FreeBSD, and Risc OS on a raspberry pi

Feels good to have no Microshit or GNUshit on my hardware

So can OSX do PCI passthrough, LXC containers, in kernel VM like KVM, official package manager, ZFS/BTRFS and easy rollbacks, easy network management with bonds and vlans, IPsec?

>being proud of eating shit from your hands

>that crappy rice, no anime wallpaper

0/10 never gets any real work done

>implying I ever turned on updates
WSUS master race

>Official package manager

Not a good thing in Linuxland. If Linux actually had a base system, most programs could be bundled without duplicated dependencies fucking everywhere and still registered with a centralized update service by specifying their own upstream (https) URL. Having a distinction between "update the OS" and "update my trivial add-on shit" is pretty nice from a security and stability standpoint, when the OS is THE OS, as in, all the de-facto standard crap nearly every program relies on.

>feeling smug about using a taped-together kernel with a broken userland yet never encountering its flaws because you never use your hardware for anything other than rewriting your dwm and ncmpcpp config files and screencapping your desktop

>Runs on taped together lusernix: NYSE, top supercomputers, amazon cloud services, the microsoft cloud, probably icloud, chromeOS, basically anything that requires serious performance, stability, and modern technology
>Run on broken shit deprecated UNIX wannabes for luddites: your lameo raspi, starbucks laptops mostly used for ssh'ing into serious linux systems and "development"

HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

DESU though none of those systems have X installed.

>using over-engineered ENTERPRISE bullshit as examples of good design

And James Cameron makes the best movies because they make the most money

>Smart people are capable of making worse-is-better software do practical things
What does any of that have to do with you though?

I, too, suffer chemical burns and lung damage from OS X. Worst OS ever made.

made me laugh
>tfw you don't have an anime figurine and therefore can never productive

>I can't figure this out
>wtf is this feature list i dont need any of this shit written in C i could hack up a bash script just fine
>must be worse-is-better enterprise quality bloat harmful brb plan 9
What does any of that have to do with you? It has to do with you being fucking dumb as shit and afraid of advanced technology that's fucking what, you ignorant nerdy chump.

I bet you don't even like anime.

X was okay once, okay, i mean, it could stand to have some security and efficiency improvements and politics were holding it back, but then these unimportant guys called the X desktop group started complaining about it not being DPS/quartz and then tried to turn it into a "modern" system for rendering spinning cubes instead of writing a regular one from the get go

Then they finally decided to go with some purpose built bullshit but totally fudged the architecture and did it all too late so shitty bloated X doing things it was never meant to do will remain the standard and it's really no wonder none of those systems have it installed

How dumb is that

kek

aesthetics are a spook

underrated

Linux doesn't have official package manager, ZFS, and network management isn't much harder.

oh cool, you read the wiki page on Max Stirner too!

>linux shitters

stirner isthe best

the first philosopher i happened to actually agree with from the start instead of learning from

Linux is great as long as you stick to the core, the stuff that fortune 500 companies use to keep their servers running. The further off into userland you get the more you're in for a world of shit.

it's called gnuserland to avoid insulting other userlands by association

>>Linux has no mainstream support and all distros have something wrong with them.
this is only correct if you're retarded
