PSP thread

This was the best "hackable" console of it's time and still.
And still have better battery life.
And with CFW you can nearly do anything with homebrew.
Any Sup Forumsentlemen still have theirs?

What can you do with a PSP that isn't video game related?

>This was the best "hackable" console of it's time and still.
And still what?
>And still have better battery life.
Than what?
>And with CFW you can nearly do anything with homebrew.
Just like with any PC or smartphone
>Any Sup Forumsentlemen still have theirs?
Sure, but it's basically useless now, and probably everyone has stopped making homebrew for it

Homebrew?
I still use mine as MP3 player.

Oh you're that guy on the bus

I still prefer the DS to the PSP.

I've owned two in my life, the second one I bought was the very least one in the store. Still have windows 95 on it.

>This was the best "hackable" console of it's time and still.

Wrong.

Do any of you know if PSP can be used as an e-reader?

I still have 3, one is street edition which doesn't have networking. I never figured out how to get install some sort of wlan antenna on it. Shame how vita was such a disaster, if it were able to play ps2 games and was more hackable I'd buy it, nowadays I just use my phone with a wireless controller and all my psp collect dust.

Yes, there is PDF-reader homebrew software available.

If you already have a PSP then give it a try but I honestly think you should get a cheap 7" tablet for reading Chinese porn comics

Can PSP even handle PDF?
I was thinking of epub and such.
I got transfered to a place in the middle on nowhere and the commute takes about 2 hours, so I though I'd use it to read some LNs, instead of using my tablet.

Is it better than hacking a vita?
I've HB on my 3ds and wii. Really need to get around to getting the sysnand on n3ds.

Nothing that phones can't do better these days.

I remember when the Twilight Princess exploit was discovered, shit was dope.
And then the arms race of Nintendo patching and reexploiting.

Playing custom Monster Hunter quests and playing Monster Hunter G with the english language patch was so nice

Yeah, there was even some sort of application store, that stuff was really nice

yeah the homebrew browser, it was all free stuff but they made it like a store. it was slower than using a desktop pc but it was convenient for getting new homebrew.I think it's still up and running as well.

its fucking 2016 get out

Eat a dick

wow rood

Is a psp more powerful than an ipod touch 4g?

Something with an e-ink display would be better than both, but your tablet would probably be better for reading than a PSP.

No

>And still what?
And still "is". Don't be that autistic unless you're not too keen on English.

I just dusted off my cfw'd PSP and started playing project diva.

I wish they released an English patch for danganronpa 2 on psp, but they had to go full moralfag and told everyone to go buy the western PS Vita release

>I was thinking of epub
I think you can with PSPKVM and albiet reader.

...

allow me to the honors, my fellow gentoomen
ahem

Yes, definitely. I read the entire lord of the rings series on it since I didn't have access to anything better at the time. These days you might want to look elsewhere though...

What did you use?

Not programming over the weekend

I think it was albeit or albite or something. I used .epub files, so I think it's what you're looking for

Wife soft modded my 1st 1001 almost 8 years ago. I love that little bundle of joy... and the psp also

Still use mine for the odd game of parappa or silent hill. Great shit there
>you gotta believe!

Im getting one for about 15$ on Monday. With charger and one game, but propably game or the UMD drive is broken, but still i will softmod it and buy microsd to memory stick adapter. Recommend me some good homebrew Sup Forums.

i had a psp from the day it came out, i was like 9 at the time, took it with me everywhere. it was my mp3 player, my porn holder, my internet browser. it was the smartphone before smartphones. i used it for like 10 years straight, replacing parts as it got older and used. id still have it today if it didnt get stolen last year...
