madVR v0.90.23
* updated AdaptiveSharpen to version 2016-07-10
* custom output levels can now be adjusted in 0.25 steps
* HDR: added option to define how to handle too bright & saturated pixels
* fixed: HDR luminance measurements + chroma SuperRes produced green screen
* fixed: #420: chroma was doubled despite being below scaling factor threshold

Did anyone try the new Adaptive Sharpen algorithm?
Is it better than sharpen edges?

vo=opengl-hq:interpolation:backend=dxinterop:blend-subtitles
video-sync=display-resample
hwdec=auto
framedrop=vo
autosync=0

Could you change your display framerate?
If yes why are you using interpolation?

How to get "clock deviation" and "1 frame repeat each x minute" statistics in mpv? I don't know why but mpv playback seems a little bit more choppy.

Potplayer
Everything just werks

For people who wants something like Kodi DSPlayer (no more developers).
There is a Media Portal build with madVR support here:
forum.team-mediaportal.com/threads/madvr-support-in-mp1.133972/

Yes but with madvr (and a good gpu), your old porn videos will look much better on your 4K television!

Why does the madVR website look so awful?

vo=opengl-hq:backend=dxinterop:deband:user-shaders="~~/shaders/SSIMSuperRes.glsl,~~/shaders/fauxHDR.glsl,~~/shaders/adaptive-sharpen.glsl"
hwdec=auto-copy
video-sync=display-resample

FauxHDR is a fucking joke!

What do you mean?

>"1 frame repeat each x minute"
That's not a "statistic", that's just calculating/transforming the refresh rate of your display and your movie's fps to another, differently looking value

mpv volume fix when
don't quite get it
is this supposed to be kodi v2 without plugins? but kodi was mostly use to stream tv shows/movies
funnily enough I found that angle gave me better performance and used less resources, you niggas should try it, I would also like to see what a video looks like with all those shaders and without them
>'~/Desktop/%F (%P) %n'
"error writing"
>screenshot-png-compression=8
why

Mpv based on the 3dpd OP picture

> "error writing"
I keep forgetting that I broke it and use sharex instead, thanks for reminding
> why
Why not?

>Why not?
the main problem with capturing png screenshots with mpv is that it stutters your video

>angle gave me better performance
I tested it a bit, it seems to be bit better and less frame drops.

However I can't take screenshot. So its an issue.

Did you fix the screenshot? control+s

I can take screenshots fine with it?
What does it say to you?

regular screenshot works, thats the one without shader settings.

however control+s, with shaders, I had to use shareX like the other user used as a workaround.

"Error writing" is the error.

>mpv volume fix when
It's not broken.

>"Error writing" is the error.
It gives me "taking screenshot failed" with ctrl+s with angle, but it works fine with dxinterop.

Wonder why, anyway I barely use that feature, If I wanted to take an accurate picture of what I am seeing on my screen I would also use sharex.

Hell probably the first time I even used it.

by the way "error writting" is the error you get when mpv can't save the screenshot on the path you designated to, I believe.

It actually kinda is, lower volumes on older release sound louder and do remember the volume % you quit the player with.

Are there other osd looks for mpv other then then the regular and this github.com/torque/mpv-progressbar?

>"taking screenshot failed"
Yeah, thats what I meant.

On another note, SSIMSuperRes is fucking up with the latest update.

Pics related. It shows a weird glass-like effect Happens when fullscreen.

>vo=opengl-hq:backend=dxinterop:user-shaders="~~/shaders/SSIMSuperRes.glsl"

Yes
github.com/haasnhoff/mpvconfigurator

probably pretty outdated it but it has a couple of OSD styles or the manual.

Looks like all the latest revisions suffer from this issue.

Had to go back to Jun 8 revision to fix this.

...

Well I can't really tell if MPV is acting up or if it's my GPU anymore.

set volume and volume-max?

Because powerful things that do a lot in the background don't look pretty on the outside.

Just change all
//!WIDTH POSTKERNEL.w POSTKERNEL.h / PREKERNEL.h *
to
//!WIDTH PREKERNEL.w

vo setting?

vo=opengl-hq:interpolation:tscale=oversample:cscale=ewa_lanczossharp:scale=ewa_lanczossharp:backend=angle:user-shaders="~~/shaders/faux-HDR.glsl":
huh?

You can set the starting volume and the softvol max in mpv.conf

I know you can, but it's not the same.
