Best Micro ATX Case?

Ok Sup Forums, I'm building a PC for my girlfriend. Just kidding. We all know it's for my wife's son.

Anyway, what is the best quality micro atx case for the money? The budget for the case is around $50-$75.

its a box that (hopefully) you will never have to mess with after sticking it under your desk.
by the cheapest one you can find

Avoid towers with cheap plastic windows.

I got a case for $25 that ended up being $15 after rebate and while it does work, cable management was an absolute bitch and it was made out of paper thin steel or aluminium.

Sometimes it's good to buy a quality case unless you can find a deal like that.

>cable management
who cares about cable management.
its not like people actually show off the inside of their computers.
or
"but my airflow"
my cpu temps are now 2 degrees higher. oh my.

I personally like knowing my cables look nice and are not in the way of anything.

The difference in temps is insignificant.

I think the air 240 is pretty nice looking, personally id like to go with the Phanteks eclipse but its not micro atx

Raidmax Hyperion is pretty nice

Forgot pic

I really like the looks if this apevia case but I have no idea about the quality.

That is one that I am considering. I may wait until it goes on sale again.

why don't you build your own case?

I have made my own test bench before but not a case. I may try that.

>2016
>using anything else but ultraslim, ultraportable ultrabooks
>inb4 muh gayming

Desktops at the same price point as an ultra book will always be more powerful.

I agree that having a PC you can take with you is also essential. Which is why you get both.

>using ultrabooks
>not having a powerful workstations where you edit your stuff

That razer keyboard you got uses cheap material, if you want quality I suggest going brands cush as Filco and WASD. or if you really want backlights on your keyboard then go Ducky

Edit what? Your "lets play league of legends episode 113" ? Fuck off

i have a different philosophy about cases. when i buy a case then for about 5 years. so investing in something better looking is worth it for me.
The Air 240 is pretty solid. only the HDD cage behind the CPU is bad. you cant pass through the cable for the CPU. Works with some force or if you want to mod it. But its more than 75$ in my country.

I have been using it for over a year now and it has worked flawlessly. I don't doubt that those companies offer awesome keyboards, I just haven't had a problem with mine.

>nobody posts the king

I'd probably go for that one, but be gentle, the plastic is pretty soft and will scuff easily. Set the side panels down on a towel when you're working on it, don't slide it around and it'll treat you well.

Unfortunately MicroATX doesn't get a lot of love these days in the chassis world.

Wtf is it? It looks perfect

Silverstone TJ-08

It looks amazing ,but damn $105?

I have that one in white, really cheap for what you get. Stuffed it with 3x 240 rads. Build quality is sufficient.

Most good cases are $100

Is this the same case?

>£38, comes with 4 120mm fans

That price seems suspiciously low for what you get. Not sure why the branding is different here in the UK too.

It just works.

Not a whole lot of cable management room. Paul didn't cover that in this video, but in a later one where he did a full build in it he said it was a pain in the ass.

Why mATX?

If you want good cooling and/or watercooling potential there are a couple good mATX cases.
If you want small size you should stop being an idiot and go ITX

Not OP but MicroATX really is the sweet spot for desktops. As long as you're not looking for a custom liquid cooling loop with tons of space, MicroATX still gives you plenty of storage bays, usually room for full length graphics cards and power supplies, and more expansion slots than most people use.

Not to mention that the Air 240 that is in the OP image is smaller than most of the popular MiniITX cases (pic related).

fuck off user, you know mATX is the sweet spot in terms of pricing and features, and those are the most important things. mATX shouldn't be compared to ITX. mATX is just smaller cheaper ATX.

I saw one of these at my mates
the fans are a bit noisy and the metal is thin-ish, but it's decent for 40 quid

I'm considering the Corsair Carbide 88R. Is this a good case?

bought this thing because it was sales on it..
It's minded inside but a bit boring to assembly. There is a grid above for 2 fans, one in the bottom, one behind. The air flow is good.
I had to cut a 3"5 grid on the front panel to receive some card reader.. The bitfenix logo could have been lighten up, which is none.
Neat design in the end.
Not that bad, 7/10

>Phenom meme case
ITX cases can be really tiny and make much cuter desktops than mATX boxes.

mATX is only worth it for higher end PCs and watercooling.

the mini fractal cases, or the Phanteks Evo Prime

I'm happy with mine I've got the 240 can I put an ITX but I should have put a Micro ATX there is too much room I don't like seeing that much empty room in a case overall the cases cheaply made but everything fits as it should I don't use the front audio outs they suck I can fit 3 standard hard drives and three ssds

I bought one about a week ago but i havent completed my build yet, size and everything looks good tho

...

...

>VAPENAYSHAALL

i removed that piece of shit cage and went with SSDs, helps loop some cables through the top which really helps in managing cables.

my nig, honestly if i knew that i'd have way more space than i would actually use i'd go for something like in
tiny cases are adorable.

How good is the air 240 overall? By the way, you can mount two slim fans on the bottom of the case IIRC. Is there really a need to do that!

...

What is the point of ATX besides portability? I'd rather have proper airflow. If I was going to go with a mini case I'd probably go with top vents.

I have your pic related OP, and it's fucking amazing. It has a wider footprint, but shorter than most towers, and it's makes building a fucking dream.

Literally however you want to build it you can with this thing. Wires all sit nice and tight in the back chamber out of sight.

I never wanted to quit smoking but my current company doesn't allow smoking
I will be switching out to m atx and 6700k
And a custom water loop

Pretty partial to this. All I have are big fatty boards, though.

Why would you not just get a 250d

You probably aren't doing SLI so just got with a mini ITX, allows for all sorts of water cooling, no compromises.

>1 pci lane
Have fun with on board audio.

Are you serious nigger this has been discussed to death on Sup Forums onboard audio is just fine we dont all have $500 HD 600 cans

Just built my gf her first PC and she liked the Phanteks P400 in white. Not many good looking or girly mATX cases and the good looking ones cost $100+. if you got the cash I'd get an mATX Enthoo Evolve for her

my meme videos in after effects

still learning they are coming soon

think a 250d would hold a corsair h100i and a 980ti hybrid? looking for an itx rig for these parts and all i can tell that will forsure work will be the define s mini or the phanteks evolv itx

...

>its fine
No.

Whats up with the lack of 5 slot matx cases?

please explain to me examples and proof of why I would want a soundcard

What's a good mATX case for $50 or less?

sg13

the king of kings

>examples
How would one give you an example? Any audio example coming out of my speakers/pc will vary from yours.

user, I want you to watch this video from 0:38 to 0:52. I want you to pay particular attention to what is said at 0:46.

YAY NAY HAY?

What a tasteless motherfucker. What cases does this guy think look good?

HardwareCucks doesn't review cases. He just lists specs and records softcore porn without giving any meaningful information like temperatures or noise levels.
He's a mega ricefag. $100 dollar aftermarket cables, tempered glass windows, PSU shrouds and everything.

when selecting a case does Sup Forums prefer USB slots on top or on the side of the case?

Just watch his videos on mute. Gotta admit, his videos give a pretty good impression on the looks of the case.

On the front or sides. NEVER on the top.

Fuck dust.

>This.
I had my CPU with the tops lots and fucking hated its, especially since it was right next to the window, and unless your planning to place the CPU on the floor, you won't get any benefits placing it at the top.

Not him. But you`re fucking retarded if not only do you rely on subjectivity to make your argument, but also have an internal sound card. If you`re worried about muh fidelity, muh qwawity. Get a fucking external DAC and keep it out of the EMI riddled hell hole that is your PC. ESPECIALLY right next to your fucking coil wining GPU.

Seriously, this has been done to death. 90% of integrated audio controllers are FINE. If you`re really that concerned about it get an external DAC. OR quit being a fucking shithead and get a receiver and a real fucking audio system. I hear some of them actually accept digital signals.

>i have no idea what im talking about.
Child please.

(You)

>I can`t prove my point
>Better call him a child
>I`m an audiophile who actually doesn`t know about shielding and it`s purposes.
>Hurr durr, I wasted my money and didn`t even know it.

Go buy some fucking cable risers shit head.

corsair carbide m80

>2014
>he doesnt have cable risers AND uses on board audio
WOW SO SAD

I would get it, if the there was 200 mm front fan mounting option, I have Silverstone case and the fan that came with it is some cheap, load plastic compared to the Noctua.

...

Mesh or plastic cover?

using one right now. and yes, it is a pain in the ass. pic related. but the price is such a bargain.
