Because I just use torrents to conveniently get media and software for free. Spending money isn't a HUGE deal, and it's actually the right thing to do. Also because there will always be some method of piracy out there.
Also, the OP is obviously referring to PIRATED CONTENT, which is obviously ILLEGAL. I don't want to be a piracy-activist whose goal is more-or-less "stealing shit from people, because I'm entitled and I want it"

No. Seedboxes/VPS are a nice way to gain easier buffer, but aren't essential for private trackers.

Anime has multiple big private trackers, it's one of the biggest reasons to get a private tracker in the first place.
I managed to get lucky enough to get into iPT and WCD by blowing my friend.
With these two trackers I sort of get everything I want so I don't think I need to be bothered with trying to get into more trackers. Seems like a hassle.
