I don't care, as long as it's cheap but high quality. My main rig even has an acer main board, but it does everything I need and it was free, so why shouldn't I use it?

Acer sucks... The vent thing melted on that plastic pos of a laptop.
And eventually soon after warranty expired, the gpu died.

I like a lot of Apple's stuff because of the integration and consistency between products. I also like Audio-Technica's headphones.
However, I'd still buy other products if they were better.

I'm kind of a brand whore to Asus Intel and Nvidia

I only buy my shit used or with a huge discount. So no loyalty, just get the one that's decent and cheap.
Except for the phone, I'm using HTC One flagships since the first one came out. Because I make my employer pay for it.

EVGA and XFX are the only American video card makers. Everything else is China/Taiwan. (ASUS, MSI, Gigabyte, Zotac, etc.)
I know that the cards regardless are made in China, but it is nice to support some non-commies a little bit. Plus, the support of both of these companies is so much better than the Chinese ones.

Sometimes very, sometimes not at all.
>CPUs: I pick whatever performs better at the time. That happens to mean that I've only been using Intel CPUs in the past 5 years or so. But come Zen I'd be very happy to switch. >PSUs: Complete brand loyalty. Seasonic every time. >MB: Some brand loyalty. I usually pick whatever's cheap and meets my spec, but that's usually ASRock. Until they break on me I have no reason to switch. >GPU: No brand loyalty. I've flipflopped between AMD and Nvidia, as well as different vendors of each. I usually pick whatever's best in a generation >Case: Complete brand loyalty. Fractal Design every time >Displays: No brand loyalty, mostly because every single manufacturer is so fucking terrible at making displays that I always try to go for the greener grass. It never works out. >UPS: Complete brand loyalty, APC or bust (literally) >Hard drive: No brand loyalty. I have a mix of HGST, Samsung, WD and Seagate drives. >Peripherals: Some loyalty. Zowie mice every time, but that's mostly because they're the only decent mouse manufacturer (imo).
I think that in cases where I'm highly brand loyal, it's due to an overwhelming availability of choice (e.g. PSU, Case, HSF) where I don't and can't really quantify products on a case-by-case basis.
The fewer options there are for a product, the easier it is for me to evaluate everything and come to an objective conclusion.
Angel Richardson
Skylake igpu's turned out crap in the end and like i said, i was struggling with the gpu part
The 5775C was on sale, had baller graphics, overclocked and was just spot on choice i was looking for
Either i would've got a 4790k and continued the struggle or get a balance with the 5775C
Turns out the overclocking evened out the competition on that one, so i'm good

Brand loyalty is stupid, just buy whatevers best in your budget.
That being said, I do tend to lean more towards gigabyte over other brands when picking up parts. They have excellent build quality and control quality from my own personal experiences with them.
I work for one of the big 3 companies, and even then I own Intel, AMD, and NVidia products.
Just buy whatever is on sale.
Ethan Adams
Will probably never get a monitor that isn't Dell or a CPU that isn't an Intel

There is thing called common sense. Just because something works out of the box on the release day doesn't mean it won't shoot itself two months later. Brand royalty is nothing but trust we as consumers put in product we are familiar with for being reliable.

The only duplicate brands I can think of are my 2 LG monitors and AMD CPU + GPU. I do typically buy AMD parts because they have the best performance/price ratio. Over the years, I have also bought a lot of Coolermaster cases, but that's mainly because the website i typically buy shit from has a lot of Coolermaster stuff.

Hudson Sanders
I had a Gigabyte mobo and an MSI GPU in my previous rig set-up and I went with those for the current one. Got a Logitech mouse and later a pad too. That would be about it.
I honestly have a bit of an issue with brand loyalty. If I buy a product and it does exactly what I need it to do or exceeds my expectations I look too that brand for other products. I don't limit myself to that brand, it just gets to go first in the shopping methodology.
For instance, I really like the look and feel of vans shoes. They do everything I want them to do and last for an extended period of time. So when I decide to buy new shoes they get the first look-over.
I like Anker accessories, so when I need to buy a new chord I go to their page on Amazon first before shopping around.
It isn't "I must buy from this brand because I think representing them is cool" or whatever. It's just because they've established that they do what I want them to do, so why not look to them when you need something?
Tyler Hall
Very, very shit taste.
