Why don't you own an additional 11-inch qtp2t laptop for light, portable hacking/devving?

My main laptops were always 12"
I have a bluetooth keyboard for my hauwei tablet from china all in all $80 brand new and I run ubuntu on it

Nope. My main machine is an eM 350.
Coming off a life of 15 inch laptops, how did you guys stand tiny screen laptops? It seems workable, but the lack of screen real estate must have been annoying at times
You don't need to see if you know. That's also why ed is the standard text editor.
Because you can't dev properly on chiclet keys and a touchpad.
Laptops are a meme.
>Laptops are a meme
Sorry I'm too poor to own a GPU, so I don't game.
If you spend a significant amount of time typing on a laptop, not only will it be uncomfortable and not-fun but you may actually end up with wrist pain from all the amazing wrist positions you'll have to pull off.
Confirmed for having not used a laptop
I used to main a self-built desktop for video games, but laptops are clearly better to use, especially something lightweight and portable so I can dev while travelling
Depends on your eyesight, for me, even 1080p at 10 inches is workable with no scaling.
>not using a non-chiclet laptop, with a trackpoint
Been looking at getting a cheap 11" fanless laptop
Shame I can't find one that fits those criteria and also handles Linux well
>buy qt 11" laptop
>install qt elementary os
>no audio
>no power management
reee I just want a qt $150 macbook clone
I don't care about your "power user" bs
not sure what kind of laptop you bought but this should all work out of the box if you install Ubuntu mate even without 3rd party software. I have an Acer Aspire ES1-131 and all works fine. Just don't buy a shitty Chromebook. Buy a Windows 10 laptop instead.
OP here, what's wrong with chromebooks, they work fine for me
Chromebooks come with a bad BIOS are often not upgradeable and installing another operating system voids the warranty.
I bought an Intel Atom laptop with a 32-bit EFI and windows 10
So once I figured out how to boot, nothing worked, no keyboard, trackpad, wifi, etc. Same kind of story with ubuntu
I bought the wrong laptop basically. But I've almost got it working now
Try installing this image. Enable 3rd party software during the installation and setup a working internet connection. 99.9% sure that everything will work. What brand / model btw? But yeah avoid buying computer with x86 processor next time. Always go with Celeron instead of Atom. cdimage.ubuntu.com
You can tell if during the graphical installation your wifi, trackpad etc work. it will all work once the installation is finished for certain. but if it doesnt go through with the installation anyway and see if it works after all is done
Ideapad 100s

Been at it for days famalam
Because I can handle carrying around a 15'6 laptop with a charger, studybooks, some home cooked food and water. Stop being such a girl.
It's convenient. I can squat 120kg on my back, doesn't mean I walk around like that
