Snes9xTYLmecm is the fastest SNES emulator available for PSP and it needs frameskipping even for a simple game like Donkey Kong Country, let alone Super FX chip games

My biggest gripe is the standby battery life and boot time. That alone makes paying twice the price for a PSP Go worth it. As far as actually gaming is concerned, it's a decent device.

Yes they did, Sony had a terrible time getting devs to support the Vita because of how massive the PSP's homebrew community was, so Sony had to lock down the Vita. The proprietary memory card is one of the things that resulted from the decision.
