Korean vs Dell

Question:
Which of these two options sound better?
>Korean 27" 1440p with Freesync and RX 480 Non-reference
Vs
>Dell 24" U2414H 1080p w/o Freesync with RX 480 nr

Korean one would actually cost me 100$ more but I'd be getting (I think), a better display.

Also I heard that Freesync would allow me to play Witcher 3 on 1440p ultra with like 40 fps and it'd still feel smooth like it was 60 fps, how true is this?

Dell is 1080p so I wouldn't need Freesync for the most part I think.

What do you think?

Oh right, also, the Korean one has DVI, HDMI and dp inputs but I'm curious if I could use my notebooks microHDMI out to connect to this monitor? Even if I could only output power resolution, picture should still show right?

Bump

Last bump

Ok seriously this time

Well fine, i didn't mean to post anyway

HA HA

Install gentoo

I'm sorry dude

Get the freesync.

Link Korean monitor

nice quads

also check out the PX277 op, might be worth your time if you dont wanna spend much

kys

Crossover 27v

Stupid fucking normie, most panels are from Korea but the shit ones that don't pass quality testing end up on ebay for stupid fucks like you to buy

>1440p
>rx 480
enjoy 30 fps on medium settings

Are you a gambler? Get the 27" 1440p.

No? Get the Dell.

Im sitting right in front of the device wich is shown on the image. Ordered it from Korea and paid 90€ for shipping to Germany. But the Monitor is good. Its shipped wit a remote (i hate this Buttons for the OSD). The Freesync feature is cool but i didnt notice a big advantage. But the 1440p resulution is a must for a 27" Screen (money was totally worth it).

Wo hast du bestellt? Link bitte!

Hety falcon, what do you think about gtx1070?

Over 80% of their monitors are either DOA or likely requiring RMA since it's faulty in some form.

The korean monitors are a meme dont fall for it.

They either dont work or die after a few weeks. Just google search anyone having problems with them. The koreans dont help at all on ebay so if its broken... tough titties.

I wouldnt go the dell either, probably cheaper and better options

you have to check the freesync range of the monitor as it supposedly only works between 40-60 fps. So if your game dips below 40 id assume it will look juddery all of a sudden. I havent played with freesync so i could be talking out my ass

If I scaled down to 1080p on a 1440p monitor in game, would it look like shit?

It sucks

Lol gtfo faggot

Save up and get the Asus MG279Q. The FreeSync range is modifiable to 57-144hz.

Great card.

>you have to check the freesync range of the monitor as it supposedly only works between 40-60 fps. So if your game dips below 40 id assume it will look juddery all of a sudden. I havent played with freesync so i could be talking out my ass
You are. I checked the range, it's something like 30-144 or 40-144, which is a nice enough range.

The monitor in the first options appears to be straight-up better, so it should be almost a nobrainer.

>Also I heard that Freesync would allow me to play Witcher 3 on 1440p ultra with like 40 fps and it'd still feel smooth like it was 60 fps, how true is this?
Not true at all. You wouldn't get tearing and it would be slightly smoother than 40FPS on a regular 60Hz display because each frame would be displayed for exactly 1 refresh cycle, but that isn't magic and 40FPS will never be as smooth as 60FPS, even with FreeSync and perfect frame times (which you're not going to get - TW3 is a bit of a disaster in that regard, especially on AMD).
Source: I own a 4K FreeSync display and used to run 290X CF

The range depends on the monitor in question, there are screens with a 40-60Hz FS inverval, depends on what the Korean monitor supports.

I have the Crossover 27 Fast 144 which is what I think OP is talking about, and I checked the EDID.

If it supports FS up to 144Hz and the minimum is 57Hz or lower then OP shouldn't have to worry about dropping out of FS, ever.
