pretty good find, Sup Forumsentleman.
I love rocket launches.
I hope it explodes.
How long till launch???
It will fail like anything that is open-source
Suck a dick, wrong website, shill.
They are preparing to start loading the LOX now, so 20-40 minutes I would say
There's a liveblog here copenhagensuborbitals.com
and checklist here copenhagensuborbitals.com
They had a couple of successful launches already and their engine design is working fine
Ah, those crazy bastards. It's been awhile since I've heard any news from them. Are they still planning on launching a human in this thing?
Not this one since it failed, they have completely new engines and designs now
Launch in 10 to 15 minutes!
SERVER DOWN
Launching now.
rofl
And it died
God dammit
rip
waiting on electron rocket launch
Quick, recover, refuel, and re-launch.
What happened?
God damn it, at least a failure is always a good way to learn something
I wonder if the fuel evaporated due to the heat
I don't know anything about this.
What sets this rocket apart from the dozens of sub orbital rockets that the rocket community in the south west of the US launches all the time?
Does it have any new technology?
I think mainly because it has active guidance and uses liquid fuel.
It's a crowdfunded, non-profit and totally volunteer/amateur project
This as well, their end goal is to send a human into space and you can't do that on a simple rocket design due to the Gs you'd take on lift-off.
They retrieved the nose cone
Something clearly went wrong with the fuel
You prefer the garbagecan car to the tesla? OK kid. Whatever you say.
The garbage car won't drive me into a fucking wall
its a shame
what was the problem with the fuel?
>what was the problem with the fuel?
Apparently it's not a fuel problem, but they don't have the data yet so we don't know.
What made me think it could have been a fuel issue is how the rocket's plume suddenly turned from being invisible to white smoke, leading me to believe that only LOX was being exhausted from the engine after some time.
