as a 27 year old neet with no qualifications and no work experience how do i go about getting a decent job? have above average intelligence but thats it

first get that "above average intelligence" chip off your shoulder. you're 27 and don't have a job or any qualifications

next, what do you want to do? do you have any history at all, any personal projects at all, working with anything remotely related to programming or even html/css? knowing your baseline will help make the best choices.

good blanket recommendation: bang through a bunch of Codecademy stuff, or start on Free Code Camp, to get a very basic foundation of how syntax works, at least, then branch off and start hunting down tutorials and literature on what you actually want to do. when you have a few projects that demonstrate your abilities, clean up your resume and start pounding out applications, I'm talking hundreds of applications, to entry level positions. If you need a job in the meantime and have any technical ability, get an A+ cert and do entry level IT.
Also, LaunchCode.org is a great resource for people with no formal education, training, or work experience. I actually got my first job through them (I do not have a CS degree)

honestly I'd recommend LaunchCode to anyone. They have more jobs than applications.

I can't speak to specific methods someone with a CS degree would use, but if you've already graduated and don't have a job, well, you're in the same boat as everyone else really.

Have a good portfolio, have a good github presence, build a personal site that links to all of your projects and repositories etc, and just apply apply apply. I have a coworker whose job search consisted of writing scripts to fill out the forms, so he'd just dump dozens of bookmarks into a folder every morning, run his scripts, rinse and repeat. He said he applied to over a thousand jobs before landing this one. maybe if you have a better CV and web presence you won't have to work as hard.
