c h I n k s h I t

I'm in the US looking for a phone, T-mobile, top tier battery is a must. $400 budget, maybe a minimum 5mp front camera. Not a slow mess (blu studio) Does it exist?

First for jewish memes

anyone?

Should I buy the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro for 150~160€?

kimovil.com/en/where-to-buy-xiaomi-redmi-note-3-pro

Also where do I buy it, at geekbuying for 147€ or Aliexpress for 160€?

>Also where do I buy it, at geekbuying
Yes.
see
>Alcatel Idol 4S review: Too much money for too little phone
androidpolice.com/2016/07/27/idol-4s-review-too-much-money-for-too-little-phone/

hmm. A friend told me that Xiaomi's MUI or whatever was shit anyway and I'd have flashed another ROM there anyways, but if I see that it works fine with the official one, then I'll just stuck on it.

Also uBlock blocked geekbuy so that's why I wasn't very secure about it. I'll order it now, I think there is a coupon.

Is geekbuying the best place to import the Redmi Note 3 Pro for Australia, The silver one is $215 AUD.

I'm with Telstra network, do I need to know anything special for LTE/4G?

I'm coming off a iPhone 4.

Is there any reason to consider CM 12.1 if 13 is supported for my phone?

LG G5. I can buy it at 399 €, should i go for it? Otherwise what are good alternatives with a wide angle camera?

youtube.com/watch?v=NNhdQT9Ivu0

You can flash the global rom with a locked bootloader. for CM13 you need to unlock it.

Ask this aussie here:

is touchwiz still a meme in here?

I've tried my friend's S7 and it was blazingly fast, really fluid, and really smooth transition between apps. Almost no lag. Really huge improvement from the previous.

Just bought the redmi 3s 32 gb when I could have had the 3 pro for the same price.
Did I make a mistake?

Thanks, user. Hope it's not a pain in the ass to do these things.

I think that's the second meme I fell for this year.

what's a good reason that xiaomi will give you unlock tool access for?

>Did I make a mistake?
No, 3s has a better SoC and GPU. post your SOT when it's near empty.

Ok, final question, I don't want to fuck it hard.

Is this actually the 3G of RAM, 32GB of storage etc etc Redmi Note 3 Pro?

geekbuying.com/item/Xiaomi-Redmi-Note-3-Pro-5-5-Inch-FHD-3GB-32GB-Smartphone-Qualcomm-Snapdragon-650-Hexa-Core-MIUI-V7-16-0MP-TOUCH-ID---Gold-362396.html

I'll be paying like 7€ more for that gold model, but fuck, Xiaomi's gold colors is really comfy.

>Option:
>3+32GB Gold
Gee, I don't know.

It's China, that's why I'm asking. Maybe someone bought that exact model and got a silver 2G or whatever.

I can get the LG G4 from my carrier for $410 Canadian dollarydoos, maybe a little less. I also have about $80 saved up with my carrier bringing the cost down to some number I can't really figure out right now. Should I go for it?

Posting again: Android browser where I can actually scroll through the pages by dragging the scrollbar up and down?

Just wrtie something like "I'm a developer and I need unlocked bootloader to test my apps etc." copy paste into google translate to Chinese and send both langs.

Yes. not sure what's the difference between "international edition" and "package b" but I guess it's just different roms. ask them.

No. G4 is bootlooped 100%. question is when. also horrible battery. not worth a $200.

Should I get the Oneplus 3 or are there similarily priced phones?

I've bought non-phone products from GeekBuying and they are pretty legit.

I've heard though that like most Xiaomi resellers, they do flash a custom ROM probably with chinky spyware so you'll need to flash it again with Xiaomi's official global ROM.

Just my two cents

Anyone in the US have a xiaomi phone at all? Which phones work with a carrier?

Is the camera quality really worse on CM13 compared to Miui? A couple people have mentioned that as a downside.

Also wondering this

I'm pretty new to all this, do I get the global rom off MIUI?

en.miui.com/download.html

Which one would be the correct one for the Redmi Note 3 Pro?

Xiaomi Mi Note Pro
or
Redmi Note 3

Help.

I am moving from an S4 to a new phone but a lot of accounts (an email, twitter, instagram.. some others) are linked to a dead email and I'll lose them forever if I can't move them to my new one.

Horrible issue but I need to turn my old phone in to AT*T within the week so I don't have time to contact sites for support.

Does Androids Tap & Go move accounts like that without requiring password re-entry? What do?

No, you can't flash using this method unless your bootloader is unlocked.

You can flash via edl with a locked bootloader:
youtube.com/watch?v=NNhdQT9Ivu0

All links in the video description.

Belgianon here, would anyone recommend the LG Magna from personal experience?

>1GB RAM
>MT6582
>2540mAh
Disgusting.

lmao

I bought the RN3P for 125 yoyos while it was cheap for some reason (2GB version)

It will come with a locked bootloader, you can unlock it the official way by applying for the code, OR, you can flash your phone with the global MIUI rom, but replace its bootloader with an already unlocked one. That's what I did, it took me less than an hour from googling it to it being done.

Then I flashed TWRP and installed mokee ROM. It's basically CM13 (6.0.1), it even has a fully stable release branch that I'm using.

I'm chuffed. Only issue is I can't seem to get any LTE, only H+, I know RN3P doesn't do 800mhz, but it does do 1800, and I would have thought I could get that in my area, but it can't seem to find it.

What's the cheapest phone with relatively stable cyanogenmod support for West-Europe?

What won't I be able to do or install on a cheap phone with 8gb internal storage and Microsd? Apps on Android don't get installed to the mSD card right?

...

Please respond.

Apps go to internal

No. 13 is better.

why mokee over regular cm13?

Did i do good guys? pulled the trigger on the Exclusive mi5 swag edition white

seems too overpriced
whats the difference between the exclusive and not exclusive?

>tfw sharp aquos crystal doesn't work in europe
Whyyyyyy ;m;

It's a shit phone with a no bezels gimmick. Why do you even need it?

4gb/128
i'm switching to android so i'm going all in desu

the feel is strong, they are such beautiful devices

it is a pretty shit phone by today's standards, user
as said

it looks neat tho
I just wish we could get a phone with absolutely no bezels
just
nothing
and a fingerprint reader on the back, nexus 5x style

wouldn't that be awesome?

>getting my OP3 meme phone tomorrow
Just unlocking the bootloader won't prevent OTA updates, right?

It just looks so cool famalam..
Closest thing I can get is a ulefone future or something.
Mhm.
That would be awesome indeed, user.

I need a smartphone with:
-Big screen with good colors to look at TV series
-150Mbit/s UPlink LTE
-Fast Charge

What would you advise?

not much of a phone expert but the axon7\oneplus3 are way cheaper and better though?

OP3?
AMOLED screen, 5,5"
DASH Charge (10% to 100% in ~1h)
Not sure about LTE

afaik the OP3 is shit, a friend with the OPO told me all about it
Visiting /csg/ made me like the Mis, let see if get chinked or not

And I'm looking for a car with square wheels

The official CM13 team aren't developing for RN3P, mokee is the closest analogue, hell the site even looks like CM's site, other pure CM13 roms for the RN3P are hackjobs by xdadeveloper users. They may work just fine, but for daily driver use, you can't beat mokees stable release cycle. It should have OTA updates like true CM13 too.

Its just hyped and has nothing special about it, so faggots dont like it on g.

Its a great phone, theres nothing bad about it, worst you can say about some components ia that its mediocre, everything else is outstanding at a good price.

Should i root my phone?

My RMN3P is shipping atm, can i already apply for unlocking?

>light user
>interested in long term updates (a device that will still be relevant 2-3 years from now)
>250$
>chink phones aren't an option here

got pic related
did I fuck up

Is the HTC 10 worth upgrading to?

No, it's a good phone for the price. Despite pretty bad SoC it should perform smoothly.

Depends on what you are upgrading from.

Do you guys use screen protectors? I love the feeling of naked glass screen on my fingers but it might be better to get a protector if I want my phone to last. What kind do you guys use?

Tried a tempered glass protector once but it cracked super easily, screen has stayed spotless despite being subject to far more abuse

you fucked up because 32GB of storage keke enjoi ur nosd card slot lmao how r u gonna move ir anime and super secret gubermint documents around now'''???
Its a great phone, minimal lag when its half the price of more powerful phones and only Sup Forums autists give a shit about having more storage than they actually need
only cons are the battery and lack of sd slot and they arent that big of a deal
htc is shit with updates

Nah, I would have gotten it even as a power user if it had more storage or sdcard support

Got the Nexus 6 instead the other day and I'm pretty happy with it and it was only like 260 bucks

What's the verdict on the HTC 10?

Upgrade from m8

kek, I understand the appeal of sd cards on many users, and if storage was a concern I wouldn't have even considered it. I don't use more than ~5GB for 20-30 albums transcoded to V2.

Great phone but too expensive for what it is

Do you think there will be a market price drop? Is it selling well?

>interested in long term updates (
Sweet, is that the new DTEK50 by blackberry?

>Do you think there will be a market price drop? Is it selling well?
androidauthority.com/10-didnt-ignite-htcs-sales-may-697127/

Nope

I have a plastic one. Vikuti or something…
The secret is to apply it on the new phone, directly after removing the factory protector on it, and to do it in an environment as dust free as possible. If you dont have acccess to a clean room, your shower cabin directly after a shower should work well enough.

I dont get the glass ones. Way too thick, and yes, they do protect the real screen, but still, you run around with a cracked screen. The palstic probably absorbs a little bit of impact.

Do you use a screen protector /spg/?

Is the oneplus 3 going to last me a couple of years (3+) if kept in good condition?

new nexus/ google flagship when?

if it's good I'll buy it if not then cool it'll drop the original nexus 5 refurb price to 90 bux and I'll buy that.

Is the LG G3 comparable with the RN3P? Although the former only has a 3k mAh battery.

I did it lads, I pulled the trigger
>Samshit S7 down from 700eur to 600
>extra 10% off for 2 days, bringing it down to 540
>microSD down from 129eur to 79
How did I do?

Good, but you will be reliving the eternal limbo of touchjizz everyday from now to eternity.

I was gonna start a thread but I see this thread exist

OK so listen

My phone is brain dead or dying, or is dead.
It wont turn off. I dropped it from bike few days ago and screen cracked but I phone seem to work. Today I was gonna take pictures and the phone froze and turned off, the phone felt hot. Now its cold down but wont start.

So what Im asking is (unless Sup Forums dont know how to fix my problem)
What new phone should I get?

I prefer not to pay full price the cost of a new iphone. I see there ius a ihpone 5s for around 300 bucks/ 300 euros. Is iphone good phone in general? does the battery last for years? I heard it self breaks after 1-2 year so you are forced to buy a new one. So i dont really trust apple.

the s7 edge costs $600 US here and I live in the biggest 3rd world shit hole, isn't 600eur a bit much

Fuck, I know.
But I watched a video about Good Lock earlier and with the Material theme it seems like you can very much limit the Touchjizz feel.

>Paying more than 500€ for a toy and fashion accessory that you will throw away in a year or so
If youre going to spend that much money, you might as well get an iphone and have your manufacturer not abandon you.

Europe gets shafted hard with smartphone prices.
The normal price for S7 here is 700euros and S7E is like 800 or more.

The g3 is shit

The Nexus 6, 5x, Redmi note 3 pro, and moto x pure are all around 250-300 freedom bucks so you have some options

Personally, I just bought a nexus 6 and I'd recommend that or the 5x just because pure stock Android with software support is the best thing when it comes to Android

When the fuck will battery technology improve?

I've had enough of this lithium ion crap

You call that a curve, boyo?

>not owning a phone with an sd slot
>not having all your 20000 songs in .FLAC
>not having 80gb worth of 1080p porn in your secret folder
>not having 20000 hi-res photos you took just because you can
>not having 30+ folders for Sup Forums, every weighing over 2gb each
>not always recording in 4k
>not having an offline google map of everything in 15000km radius
>having to choose what to delete forever so you could download that one app you need at that moment

and for last

>not being able to take out all of your data whenever you want to and put it in your other devices

u do realize that they're just going to charge a huge premium for it

october

Why is everyone talking about chinkshit here?

because there are some nice chinkshit phones.

But is it any good

Because Axon 7 would be my perfect phone if not for bootloader

Why do manufacturers have to change how android looks?

Ugh I hate that, not only half my apps are disgusting iOS ports or stuck in Holo design I also have to deal with the difference in the system UI.

What are the best stock approved brands?

Nexus. Or just flash cm
