Kurva anyàd.

Stop maymaying, that is the most modern distro nowadays with a great support by a non-Jewish company.

it doesn't have enough flaws to give it "character" so no one want to use it. Everyone on Sup Forums is looking for something to kill time, not something that can actually be used in productivity.

Fedora is awesome. I really don't get the Red Hat hate.

It's Torvalds approved.

It's the distro most people eventually arrive at and stick with.

Somehow it manages to be both stable and bleeding edge.

Up

Hospitals here do run them as server and desktop oses.

t. Hungary

>using fedora on a server
>using fedora ON A HOSPITAL SERVER

wtf are you even doing hungary

>what is CentOS

pretty much all of the above. the reason you don't hear much about it on here is because people here prefer to whine about shit that DOESN'T work. apart from the obvious trolling the name and the logo get, there's not much wrong with Fedora at all.

How to install proprietary drivers for Fedora 24?

Too bleeding edge. CentOS is god tier and what I chose for my work desktop.

It is supported here and it's definitely an improvement.

The Honvéd hospital where I worked used NT 4 unt 2012.

>It is supported here

Fedora offers no support.

You must be confusing it with RHEL.

>distro named after a meme

nope

>using fedora on a server
getfedora.org/server/

It is supported by MTA( hungarian academy of sciences).

nitrogen tanks with gas masks are a thing

it doesn't mean I'm going to strap it on

>hungary asking these pleb questions

not impressed

I think Paul asked the questions and not Gabi.

Up

rpmfusion
copr
install manually

not that hard

So?
dnf install akmod-nvidia "kernel-devel-uname-r == $(uname -r)"

You will fuck it up that way.
This method worked for me, try it out:

if-not-true-then-false.com/2015/fedora-nvidia-guide/

I have it on my T420 and it works beautifully.

>You will fuck it up that way.
Why?

I find that people using fedora are more obnoxious than arch fags

like this guy made a seminar presentation a few months ago, he moved from winblows 8 and ubuntu to fedora or whatever and he made sure to include shit like "yay fedora" in some slides even though the topicof his presentation had nothing to do with Linux, GNU or operating systems in general

So yeah

...

I'll casually remind you that you were the one sitting in the audience while the fedora user was up on stage, doing his thang

I must recognize I'm impressed by this.
Didn't even know you have hospitals in Gypsyland.

YES

much advanced

We all had to do our "thang", friend. That day it was his turn, next day it was someone elses, and eventually it was my turn.

you sound underage

you sound very defensive. is fedora your weak spot?

Its like the beat of something like arch or Debian combined with the ease of use of something like mint or Ubuntu with all of the control of the former.

I don't think so, I don't use it.
One thing I always disliked about Fedora is the first thing you have to do is add RPMFusion. I wouldn't call that "ease of use".

su -c 'dnf install download1.rpmfusion.org/free/fedora/rpmfusion-free-release-$(rpm -E %fedora).noarch.rpm download1.rpmfusion.org/nonfree/fedora/rpmfusion-nonfree-release-$(rpm -E %fedora).noarch.rpm'

copypasta'ing that one time is overly difficult? how often are you reinstalling your OSes?

>Literally fedora-tier distro
also rpm is shit
serious question, why would anyone use fedora over debian

>apt-get is shit for dependency hell
>debian stable is older than I am
>debian testing is buggy
>debian sid is holy fucking shit buggy
>red hat sets the industry standards for feature adoption
>if you ever hope to have a paid linux related job you will be using RHEL

could go on

>SHIT fonts
>Can't install certain packages because of licensing issues
>Lab rat distro
>Unstable garbage
>Literally autism hat

N O

I don't see any significant benefit to using it over Ubuntu.

I think wanting package versions less than a year and a half old was my main reason for migrating from sid.

>also rpm is shit

Assuming you're not just memeing like in the rest of your post, explain this

repos are shit
>no wmii
>no cwm
>no evilwm
>no echinus
>no frankenwm
>no catwm
>absolutely no wm I would use in the repos
>inb4 use rpmfusion
>rpmfusion has shit to add
>end up getting my wm straight from github
>meanwhile debian repos have all those and more

>he doesn't just make his own copr with automatic git syncing and rebuilding

it's like you don't even want to be up to date
