Last piece of software you paid for
I don't think I've ever paid for any non-game software in my life.
Also, not sure, but I think it might have been MS word.
Phone apps?

Haven't pirated shit in years because it's stupid. There's literally streaming services for everything now, Adobe is like $10/month, etc. And pirating is wrong. Would you like it if somebody copied your code that you worked countless hours on? It's not stealing bro, just copying it.
excluding games, I think the copy of Win98 SE I got with a prebuilt machine around 1999 is the last I paid for. I pirated a copy of FRAPS a few years ago, I don't think that counts as a game. If not that, then Windows 7 back around 2010 or so.
>Would you like it if somebody copied your code that you worked countless hours on?
well considering the amount of software licensed as BSD, MIT, Apache, and GPL, there's an awful lot of people that don't mind at all. Why should I care, after all? If I didn't want anyone else to have it I would never have put it online.
Ubuntu 16.04 on a USB stick for 10$. I needed a 16gb usb anyway, and it was a good Kingston one
And I don't think I've ever really pirates software, music yeah, games or programs no

Well, I don't pay for software aside from games. But I guess when I bought my windows 7 laptop back in 2010, I indirectly paid for Windows 7, which is software.
The only software valuable buying is professional software that you need for a job, like Microsoft Office or Photoshop, or maybe Microsoft Server SQL or something like that. However, I don't have a job. I'm a CS student.
>>last piece of software you pirated
I don't torrent software if that's what you mean. But I sometimes download YouTube videos. That's not illegal as far as I know. There's even a Linux package for it so it can't be illegal, right?
