Problems with other browsers: Opera - Shit tier mouse gestures you cannot edit
Firefox - Becoming meme software before our very eyes, slow
Edge - Seems fast but really isn't once you install an addon
Chrome - Spyware
Vivaldi is very good but unfortunately falls short on two areas, the first is the UI lag which I'm afraid cant be helped as they chose a retarded implementation, the other is that they use chromium engine which is bloated compared to presto. But as it stands it is the least shit compromise avalible.
>I implore you to try Vivaldi again, it's getting really good desu Trying hard?
Blake Torres
I only have the following browser problem:
- Uses too much ram
Given that Vivaldi is just another webkit/blink/whatever rehash, it will probably be as shit as all the others.
Joseph Butler
>another webkit/blink/whatever rehash this
Ian Sanchez
It was nice and light when it was in beta but when they released 1.0 or whatever the first stable release was a few months ago it turned to complete shit.
Chase Price
i will try it when it goes open source. otherwise i will stay with chromium.
Ian Butler
it's so bad it's not even funny
Zachary Bell
If you aren't going to support the vivaldi project- then get the FUCK out of my thread.
Go back to jacking off to your sjw furfaggotfox or botnet chromeshit
Everybody is sick of you. Kys faggots, fuck outta here
Hudson Robinson
kek enjoy your botnet fucking Sup Forums faggot
Luis Hughes
Does the UI still randomly stop responding to touch events? Because that's the one thing keeping me from using it. Other than that, it's a pretty decent browser.
William Nguyen
What the hell are touch events?
Easton Gonzalez
I actually liked vivaldi. The only reason I switched back to chromium though was this annoying ass bug where youtube videos wouldn't properly fullscreen. If they actually fixed that I'd consider using their browser.
William Martin
Is it open source?
If not, fuck off.
Benjamin Nelson
Fuck off, shill. Vivaldi's a piece of shit.
Nolan Brown
>I implore you to try why do you care about which browser anomalous people use? and perhaps more importantly, why should any of those people try an inferior browser than what they already use? (who da fuck even uses a chrom* clones? thats worse than those palemoon furfags...)
fuck off back to the pigsty you came from shill
Chase Robinson
I still like furryfox :3
Austin Scott
>a shitty closed source chrome mod with js ui
Jaxon Bell
I'll use it when it stops being a FUCKING WEB APP IN TOP OF CHROMIUM
Chase Gray
>Use Vivaldi it's getting good >Only falls short in UI and web engine >The only two things a browser does >The implementations are also irreparable >But it's getting really good!
I have never been less convinced about anything. Contribute to Firefox.
Noah Jackson
I'll switch to it the very moment they implement tab tearing. Until then it's a bit of a deal breaker.
Dominic Butler
This, now its only firecucks vs chrome and its clones. I still preffer firecucks :3
Kayden Foster
I'll switch to it when it becomes good. Every time I tried it, i just get disgusted and uninstalled it after 15 minutes.
Brody Miller
Still waiting for email client
Nathaniel King
Praise Pale Moon
Cooper Miller
Vivaldi is just Google Chrome with extra spyware.
James Morales
Vivaldi: 100% meme software Seems fast but really isn't once you install an addon Spyware Just shit
Elijah Martinez
HURR
Leo Lee
...
Daniel Campbell
t. Vivaldi devs and users
Dylan Rogers
The UI is fucking garbage, I'll stay on Opera. >mouse gestures People use those?
Lincoln James
Honestly, shill OPfag aside, I'm using Vivaldi and it's alright.
Still some things I don't like, like not being able to draw tabs outside of the window to make a new window, not being able to middle-mouse click anywhere on the bar to make a new tab (I guess I got used to CTRL T by now), and the fact that if you accidentally click between the search bar and the open tabs with middle mouse, it opens up this weird maximized view of the tabs, which is useless in itself.
Other than that, it's pretty solid and has been getting better. Crashes far less than Firefox "stable", which in itself is a pretty good accomplishment for a beta browser. It's alright, try it if you're on the look for a new browser, otherwise, don't bother, it's more of the same.
Owen Collins
wtf i hate google now
Levi Sullivan
>Browser that runs in a browser bruh
Gabriel Diaz
Yup, I do. That allows me to perform certain actions with mouse only, and without the need to use buttons. That's useful if you, like me, prefer to keep your left hand on your balls, rather then keyboard. I do not understand why Opera devs decided to put gestures in, but skipped customization. They are useless now. This is literally the only thing that keeps me with firefox and firegestures.
Andrew Peterson
its slower than opera
quicker in terms of new ui concepts and I liek that
but slower than opera
less versatile than firefucks
less epic than chrome which just fucks shit up
Thomas Adams
Wow, a thread on Sup Forums that gives the good and bad points of a product, and it still gets shat on by poojeets? Good job guys.
Mason Smith
So what browsers are there? >Vivaldi le meme xDDd >Firefox uh, le meme again xDD also SJW cunts >Chrome No explanation needed. >Edge It's fast I guess. Is the only option left Safari???
Brayden Jenkins
Opera, you faggot.
Parker Cox
>he doesn't use safari for windows in wine
Oliver Price
Everything is objectively shit, just some products have paid shills. >Safari >no webm Roaring laughter.
Anthony Baker
I already included Chrome you blind idiot
Camden Mitchell
>says Opera is Chrome >says Vivaldi isn't Get consistent or get fucked, meme man.
Kayden Mitchell
>Vivaldi is a separate option >Opera is not
You are not good at jokes and twists
Gabriel Ramirez
for you
Nathan Phillips
>chrome reskin
fuck off
Lincoln Flores
It's worse. You can claim opera is a chrome reskin. Vivaldi is literally chrome extension. Somebody decided to write a browser addon that is another browser. That's some funny shit when you think about it.
Daniel Carter
>Vivaldi >Closed Source
Asher Johnson
Pic related is why "Too geeky"
Fucking chropera
Sebastian Evans
>if your opinions do not adhere to mine than please leave you have nothing to say this is my safe space in which only positive feedback for Vivaldi exist.
end yourself fag. Free speech means people can say anything they want about your shit as long as it does not incite violence.
You are shill
Bentley Stewart
Thankfully their attitude is changing. They just added RSS back.
Jackson Campbell
>vivaldi >a shitty chromium skin >closed source (aka botnet) it's definitely not for power users; it's for computer illeterates.
Hudson Bell
it doesnt has scrollwhell middle click thingy for linux... so it fuckings sucks and its triggering me
Xavier Foster
that's called autoscroll, i think all chrome based browsers need a plugin for that on linux
Oliver Hill
I want to but it's non-free software so nope.
Ryan Jones
Fucking /thread
Gabriel Watson
Wew. Now I really want to try Vivaldi.
Levi Jones
Can you finally detach tabs and move them between windows? If the Opera people managed to implement it on Linux surely Vivaldi can too.
You need a chrome extension for that on all chromium based browsers
Charles Smith
I'm waiting until is supports themes and customisation so I can make it look like Opera 12
Owen Harris
>needs an extension for a feature firefox already has built in
no thanks
Jeremiah Diaz
>i'll never get to put my dick in that butthole
Michael Cooper
Wew lad Did mummu make fun of their Fedora again?
Eli Garcia
Looks nice OP. However, I clicked the default TED bookmark (one of 6 in this snapshot), and tried to watch a TED talk, but I get a "couldn't load plugin" message.
No help in the plugin menu or help files. Why would they make TED a default bookmark when you can't even use the site with the browser?
Jace White
The problem is loonix
Adrian Ortiz
Vivaldi = Chrome skin
Jonathan Baker
how is linux the problem if firefox has it?
Chase Powell
>closed source software. No.
Leo Sanchez
>desu Nope. Just for that. Never.
Matthew Nelson
I unironically use Vivaldi as my primary browser and I absolutely love it
James Perez
Why do they say this shit is for power users?
Jayden Gutierrez
Dont fucking post in my thread or to my son ever again
Angel Miller
Because it has by far the most customization avalible? Also has power-user features such as ui-resizing and you can put everything where you want it
Colton Flores
Vivaldi is the laggiest browser out there. You cannot defend a user interface written in Javascript.
Ryan Martinez
qutebrowser.
Ryder Cruz
THIS
Its the only reason I am not using it right now.
Joseph Edwards
does it support ncurses
Christopher Baker
They say "power users" but they mean "trendy webdev hipster garbage". They aim at the Atom audience. "Hackable editor", my ass.
Noah Williams
OP this is why I don't use memevaldi: >No Android version, so no way to have my history, bookmarks and speed dial synced with it >No integration with the System. No native notifications. >No video pop-out function. This is, making an html5 video to show as an always-on-top pop-out window. >No data saving feature.
Jason Perez
They aren’t even aiming at them because Vivaldi is closed source. No one can make useful plugins like pic related.
Elijah Carter
>No video pop-out function Had to disable that shit in flags, literally why. >No data saving feature. Meme.
Joseph Miller
Please come back when
1. it's open-source 2. it has a feature-complete pentadactyl clone 3. it has a feature-complete umatrix clone 4. it supports color management and ICCv4 profiles
without those four a browser to me is useless
Ethan Wright
can you drag tabs to new window yet?
Easton Cruz
>Vivaldi lol. In my days we had Opera for this kinda hipster shilling sheit.
>Firefox They look frankly desperate to make me leave them for Chrome.
>Chrome Fuck you, closed piece of normie shit.
>Opera Used to be good, shot themselves in the foot, now they're chinks
>Safari I thought we were being serious
There are NO alternatives. NOT EVEN ONE GOOD alternative.
Brandon Martinez
This definitely makes me really want to try Vivaldi that much more
Aiden Reed
>vivaldi >powerusers >closed source
>>>/shillhq/ go get some better material for next time.
Jose Powell
...
Parker Reed
You can play the same game with OS' and everything else.
At the end of the day, you need to pick your compromises. Be it dealing with the shit that you mentioned, or go and fix up a browser yourself at the cost of your own time.
That's the world we live in.
Blake Williams
This. I would like to know that too
Ayden Hill
If you're going to distribute an application free of charge, why would you make it proprietary? Just to be a dick? Because you don't want anyone to see your shitty code? Or because you have something to hide?
Lincoln Miller
now that's what I call EXTREME PROGRAMMING
Jose Morales
the problem with Vivaldi is it slowly slooooows down and then it freezes with only 3 tabs open
this all happened since the last update
you guys fucked up
Brayden Collins
>No data saving feature. It's a desktop browser!
Cameron Nelson
The only reason I use Chrome is because it's the only browser that handles cross-platform syncing well, or at all even.
>Safari Nope, macOS & iPhone only. >Edge Nope, Windows and Windows Phone only. >Vivaldi No mobile client. >Brave No mobile client. >Firefox Only on Android.
People keep making new browsers but don't seem to realize that syncing is a real desire that people really have.
Christopher Jones
>zakius I hate that fucker. >implying opera 12 is still any good
Josiah Martin
>completely ignored Opera Not only its mobile app is so good that it's worth using just by itself, the desktop application is not shaggy either, and I like its sync better than Chrome's because it syncs the speed dial correctly.
Nathan Evans
does it have global sync yet does it have android version to go along with global sync
Ryder Bennett
>that list of alternatives
Debian provides Firefox ESR and Chromium, the best version of both worlds (and I use both)
