Is the Zenfone 2 the best phone with an x86 processor or is there something better?

Is the OP3 a meme?

Is the Note 7 the best performance phone out there or is there something better?

Pretty much, just get the Axon 7 instead.

No, beats the Axon 7 in almost every section except screen and audio quality.
tomsguide.com/us/zte-axon-7,review-3815.html

I really wish there a phone that worked on Sprint (RingPlus) with a high quality DAC/amp built in that wasn't the overly marked up HTC 10.

It looks like the Axon 7 is a no-go on Sprint, sadly, so the only things I can hope is HTC bringing over some of the features from the HTC 10 in this regard to the Nexus devices or hope the V20 (assuming it continues the audio quality trend) actually has a Sprint variant this time around...

I could buy a T-Mobile V10 for very cheap and use it on a 20/month 2GB data only plan, but that doesn't compare to 1.5GB free every month... still, paying 250 and paying 20 bucks a month will take some time to compare to paying 599 USD upfront on an HTC 10. I could just shell for the Axon 7 at that point... Decisions are annoying.

Get the meme, same processor but with 6 gigs of RAM

Smartphone case, any of you using those rugged case?

How much difference do you guys think it made before you started using these casings?

Isn't the exynos on the Note 7 faster than the overheating snapdragon on the op3 though? Also I'm not sure about a 1080p phone with no micro SD slot.

My brother wants to buy an LG G3. Is this a decent phone? Are there any major issues with it like the bootloop issue in G4?

How do I get this screen on a Samsung phone, like the S7?

I need to see if my country is supported.

xda-developers.com/oneplus-3-xda-review/
>A notable aspect of this device, especially over the OnePlus 2, is that it does not throttle with prolonged usage, nor does it get noticeably warm. This is one of the more thermal-efficient devices in recent memory, closely resembling the efficiency of the Note5 and ZenFone 2 during day-to-day usage (they sported some of the most interesting processors of 2015, too). It’s also notably better for intensive usage than other Snapdragon 820 devices like the HTC 10 and the LG G5, and OnePlus managed to go from one of the least pleasing devices for real-world usage to one of the best.

However the Exynos does run a bit better than the SD 820 on Sammy phones
gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_s7_exynos_8890_vs_snapdragon_820_speed_test-news-17429.php

Axon 7 has an SD card slot, which is literally make-or-break for some people, and the OP3 has inconsistent band support whereas the Axon 7 global version has most covered.

>implying they don't sell S7's in Japan
????

How do you even buy a phone that's under 5"? There's like actually literally zero of them. My Moto G has been perfect at 4.5", but 5" is way bigger and too big to operate comfortably.

Moto E 2nd gen LTE
Sony Xperia Z5 compact

I don't think Moto E is being sold anymore

The Xperia seems solid though so thanks for that. Pricy though.

Is there any phone around 200$ which performs well and doesn't overheat?

And by 'performing well' I don't mean games, more like normal UI usage. I just want a smooth phone.

Most phones at this price have Snapdragon 6xx, which all are known for overheating and throttling, from what I've read. Any help Sup Forums?

I'm probably picking up a Note 7 when it comes out.

Is this VR shit worth it? How's the 2016 model looking?

>UK

Broke as fuck, need a 4g capable phone, but willing to spend that extra £10-£20 for something decent. My options:

Huawei honor 7 - £165 - A grade refurbished

Huawei honor 6 - £140 - B grade refurbished (only listing it 'cos trying to limit spending)

Moto g 3rd gen 8gb - £110 - A grade refurbished

Honestly set on the honor 7 and I'll get a price reduction, which is why I'm getting it from this place specifically

Say I got 600, I just want to do shit and have it not take forever (currently using an iphone 4, I didn't buy it tho) what's good. I was thinking about the Oneplus 3. Why should/shouldn't I get it, I'm deciding next month anyway.

Moto g4

Then get Z3 Compact.

It's actually better. SD 810 in Z5c lags, so the real performance is close to Z3c. The camera in Z5c is faulty, the fingerprint scanner performs terribly, the battery is just 'okay' (while Z3c is well known for really excellent battery life), and the rest is at similar level.

Xperia Z5 family sucks balls, is incredibly overpriced and overrated.

£
so like 50p :^)
Redmeme is smooth. SD650 doesn't lag or overheat. SD615/6/7 do.

Then why user in last thread told me Idol 4S is heating up very hard? It has SD 652.

Get a real chinkphone, the Redmi Note 3 Pro is god-tier

>Then why user in last thread told me
He probably meant the Idol 4, not the 4s, which has SD617.
SD650/652 are very good.

Okay, thanks

The problem with the 4s is that it's overpriced.

For $400 you can get an OP3/AX7 with SD820.
It's a good phone but it shouldn't sell for more than $250 tops.

wait for google day dream

any way I can get the meme shipped to me in 3-5 days?

I wasn't, but the S7E didn't hit Japan until about two months ago. I'm worried the Note 7 will take that long to release, so if I could import that might be easier.

I see.

Damn, OP3 is ~50$ more expensive in my country, and Axon7 is not available here.

I guess I'll wait a bit then.

Is the Xiaomi Mi5 worth its price or is there a better alternative price/specs?

gsmarena.com/xiaomi_redmi_note_3-7863.php

is that a good phone for light every day use?

Nah, you're wrong. The Note 7 vastly outperforms the OP3.

Anyone have experience with Project Fi? How do you rate it?

>memefi
>$1000+ for 100GB of data used

Nexus 5X: Almost no compromise here. Performance, and feels great in hand.

Cons: Buttons feel too pushed in and aren't great imo. Also Root it, Stock Android doesn't have very much in terms of customization

>Nexus Marlin and Sailfish are gonna be sold by carriers

>root it
I wish I could but USB cable won't fit in my laptop. I mean who the fuck uses type C?

Now I gotta wait a week for a proper one.

Sup guys. Looking to upgrade my phone (Samsung S5).
Is the OnePlus3 okay? I´m not that into chinkphones since when my friends ask me what I got I dont wanna google the pronounciation first.

>tl;dr is the OP3 worth getting?

I have a N5 and I'm ready to upgrade. Will the Moto G4 Plus be a good upgrade?

I honestly believe Type C will become the standard in a decade or so.

Stupid question but worth asking I guess.

I don't like apple stuff. had an iphone for ages and since it kept working I never bought a new one then Apple started fucking me over and I can't even download shit like google authenticator because my OS is not longer supported.

I don't like android phones or windows phones. Is there any linux based phone on the market? Like you know the actual OS running on decent tier hardware that can also make calls and take pictures?

I would totally go for something like a Ubuntu phone or whatever the fuck if it existed.

Well what do you expect, they can´t support their oldest phones but atleast do support them until a certain point.
If you enjoyed the overall experience, why not get another apple device.
I mean they´re pricy but atleast of good quality

Is there any reason not to get the HTC10?

not liking HTC

Honestly, although you don't like Android, I'd still suggest getting a budget device around ~$300 or so. Preferably one with stock android, if you really just want something that's bare bones that can just call and text, and browse the web.

Isn't it a glorified OP3? If you want design, they both look very similar. Performance wise, I'd just go with the OP, sure they're both pretty clean in terms of OS, but one is significantly cheaper than the other.

OP3 is cheaper and has more RAM, but the 10 has an SD slot.

10 is underrated, most likely because it's overpriced. Not bad at all, it's just HTC shooting themselves in the foot with pricing and marketing

it also has a shit pentile amoled display

Seriously what the fuck is wrong with my Redmi?

WiFi is set to never turn off during sleep/screen off but it acts like it's disconnected anyway. The first connection via any app (Twitter, Line) takes minutes, and any subsequent action is snappy as it should be.

Official unlocked bootloader with root and Xposed running Global Stable 7.5.3. How fix?

LUMIA IS $399 MSRP NOW FUCK

IT HAS EDGE FOR Sup Forums THIS ISNT BAD RIGHT?

>Windows

Be more specific

>Windows 10 Mobile

>a phone that hasn't come out yet outperforms the OP3
Of course buddy

Moto G4 family has big problems with overheating and throttling. Avoid SD 615 and 617 phones.

Galaxy Phone Line: From my experience, S3 to S7, these phones fucking suck. They have the best hardware but shit optimization. I could deal with it on the S5, but the S6 was a fucking nightmare with it's bugs. I lost it at the S7 and dropped the phone line completely.

Meizu PRO 5 Ubuntu Edition
omgubuntu.co.uk/2016/07/meizu-mx6-official-announcement-specs
Why not 5X?
Upgraded from the S5 to the OP3, I'm never going back :)

>buy a phone
>hate it
>buy another phone from the same manufacturer
>still hate it
>yet again buy the same manufacturer's phone
You really don't learn anything, do you.

>Meizu PRO 5 Ubuntu Edition
Damn that looks like a sweet phone. I just can't find it anywhere.

en.jd.com/1104324.html?utm_source=omgubuntu
This looks to be working for me

Yes. make sure it's the Pro version.

Not sure if that's exactly your issue, but MiUi kills a lot of background process, which can delay message arrivals and such.
try this:
youtube.com/watch?v=JFJZTPblGu0&t=6m10s
It's for Mi4c but applies for all MiUi versions.

Hi
I'm from Brazil (Vivo), and I know some people going to the US in a couple of weeks
I want to know what phone I should tell them to buy me
Price until US$700,00
I prefer Android, and "big" phones

Galaxy S7 Edge?

Google says that S7 Edge is US$780
Is there much difference from S7 to S7 Edge?

No, but the S7 is smaller, I thought you wanted a big phone :)

phonearena.com/news/Unlocked-Samsung-Galaxy-S7-edge-available-for-569.99-at-Newegg-19-off_id83754

That's an online retailer
They are going to physical stores
And if there isn't much difference, isn't it better to get the S7?

With the Note 7 coming out, I think there will be deals in physical stores too soon.

But yeah the S7 or even the HTC 10 are great phones. Kinda depends on what you prefer design-wise and sofware-wise.

>shit optimization
LOL WHAT
>t. mad s3 user
but I haven't used any S phones after idk how they are

It's not expensive at all.

ok, thanks for the help

>$1,000+ a month
>not expensive
fuck off

I need to wipe my S7, I have a backup - is there anyway I can restore just the data part (apps/app data/etc) after I wipe?

Good replacement for Galaxy S2?

300 - 400 dlls range

Oneplus 3

Or the Nexus 5X I guess.

probably dumb and asked a lot.

Marshmallow for the s5 g900a hasn't been officially released yet? My brain melted reading xda forums.

Is the HTC 10 still overpriced at $600 usd?

ass

Is that the AT&T version?

And I don't know user, but I would stay away from it anyway. My S5 (Europe version) started having random reboots about once a day after the update...

My LG G3 is toast, I am not a "power user" so I don't need a super modern phone. Could the Note 4 last me the next few years?

yes at&t. :( I've read some others have that problem using the manual xda upgrade. I did get a couple patches awhile back, maybe they are fixing things before releasing.

Lost my S5 while camping
is buying used/refurbished on ebay a good idea?

I'm looking to replace my Verizon lg g3 now that i switched to cricket. I'm debating the oneplus 3, Note 5, nexus 6p(if prices drop when new ones are announced) and the moto g4 plus(4g ram). so far i think the winner will be the OP3

Just buy a Redmi.

The price, it costs the same as the S7E despite being somewhat inferior, if only it was 100-150 dollars cheaper then we would have the true master race of smartphones.

Seems to me like the 10 beats the s7 in both of those aspects.

Why the fuck did you even get a redmeme if you weren't going to put cyanogen on it? The stock android on phones not made by Motorola or nexus-es are just unbearable.

Is the Honor note 8 a good idea for replacing a nexus 6?

I'm enjoying MIUI minus the strange WiFi issue for the time being. Battery life is great, root to uninstall the Mi software and it's pretty comfy. Themes are nice since I'm a ricefag from /wg/.

Fuck, why didn't someone post this earlier? That was a good deal.

How do I switch downloaded pictures to the microsd card on a S7? When I try to Google it all the results are about switching where the camera stores pictures.

Titanium Backup Pro, if you guys seriously don't step it the fuck up with your memephones then I'm gonna make a fucking pastebin listing all the truly good apps, websites and ROMs for any kind of phone, but I fear that you guys are so fucking incompetent that you'll be downloading the free versions of it straight from the play store, or even worse, buying them like the good goyims you are, instead of getting cracked apps and patching, and I can't be arsed with updating links/uploading the newest versions every time an app updates.

Any reason not to get a S7 if I don't really care about unlocking my bootloader and running a custom ROM?

HTC 10 or Exynos S7? pls respond.
