I'm still mad at this case
New 120mm silent wings in the mail as of one hour ago through

Might also look into a slim 120mm fan for the CPU cooler, but I would have to custom bend the wires that hold it down against the fins

Thanks

WTF is that case?

Sharing is caring.

Tight build bruh.

Interesting case, what is it? What gpu is that?

Loving those braided cables. Very nice.

Define S Nano? Love ITX builds.

On another note, does anyone know if the 980ti classifieds came with LEDs for their text, mine doesn't respond to the geforce experience led config software. HALP.

...

riing fan bro, are they static or rgb?

Static, the white balance got fucked up a bit.

I like those red corners

Why 2 GPUs?

the 650 is for a second analog monitor and PhysX

...

What are some must-do benchmarks?

I've done Heaven, but I keep forgetting the names of the rest.

Valley, 3d Mark

You finally replaced the poo fan corners!

Looks awesome.

pussy

can't get a stable overclock because shit luck on the silicon lottery. to get a stable 4.4 i need 1.4 volts and my 4.3 is running 1.24 volts.

Decided not to get the asus 1080 solely because of that retarded side writing "republic of gaymurz".

Bah, I thought the firestrike benchmarks were free?
I want to test the Ultra.

Gonna run tests and then oc both my cpu and gpu and do some more.

and then a 850W psu, why does everybody need those huge wattages? mine's only 650 and i could run 4670k, 6 hdd's and 2 gtx 680's without a problem

har samma skit chassi börjar bli sur över att jag bara får plats med 3 hdder

I just bought the Zotac 1070 Amp Extreme and the motherfucker won't fit in my case. I've been crying for 20 minutes trying to figure out what the hell am I supposed to with it. Any suggestion, Sup Forums? I don't want to spend more money on a bigger case

Because a lot of times the price difference between a 600 and 800W PSU of the same manufacturer and series is often negligible. So, why not just get the larger wattage and have plenty of headroom should it be needed?

In my case, the price difference between the ~600W, ~800W, and ~1000W was only about $10 per step. So, for $20, I can definitely run anything I throw in my system.

that was my old rig, my current broke so im currently using shitty amd from 2016 and the gtx 760 in an almost miniitx case, want pic?

>Crying for 20 minutes
What case are you using? If you don't want a bigger case, get a smaller card. lol There's no reason a 1070 needs a two slot cooler.

meant 2010 -.-

...

i feel sorry for you

I recently upgraded, please rate arigatou. will post picture once I put it together

(-) didn't upgrade

CPU:Intel Core I7-6700K
Cooler: Hyper 212 Evo (-)
RAM: 2x16GB 2400Mhz Corsair RAM
MB:ASUS ROG Z170 Maximus VIII Hero
Case: Fractal R4 (-)
PSU: XFX 750W Pro Black Edition (80+ Gold)
GPU: Zotac 1070 Amp! Extreme Edition

>not thinking cases are overrated
I feel sorry for you.

Hopefully tomorrow I can finally start the next chapter. I already have all the new fans and even some chinkshit adhesive LED strips for under the chassis. I'm just waiting for a sheet of vinyl that's been in the sorting center for over a week now.

Is this chris-chan's PC?

Hows your taint doing?

why is your GTX 1080 only 4gb? shouldn't it be 8gb?

Finally finished my first hard tubing build.
I am not that satisfied with my bends, there are some visible kinks. will redo when next upgrade comes along

Speccy does not pick up the 8GB. mine also shows as 4GB

scuffed piping

Speccy hasn't been updated in like 5 years. Anything over 4gb is seen as 4gb.

I'm pretty sure Piriform has abandoned it.

Any suggestions? Waiting on 1080ti announcement. If it's not coming then I'll get two 1080's for SLI

They literally just announced the Titan X about a week ago. You'll be waiting a good few months before anything about the 1080Ti is announced.

>0/10 for using milk as a cooling fluid and LEDs.
i don't get what's wrong with "milk" instead of the usual red coolant. at least i'm not riding the casual train.
also, what's wrong with the LED? can adjust the brightness from 10 different settings and even turn it off, and you can't even see the strip. 0/10 legit.

i think it's cringy as fuck as well and regretted not buying the EVGA since i'm gonna watercool it.

Sugo SG11b
Zotac 750ti

>watercooling the mobo

for what purpose

Thats a verry red build.
Im probably going the lian li mini tower that supports atx boards and front mounted PSU. Pretty tight build man.
Do you like your intel or Samsung better? I hear intel is almost the better choice for ssds.
Neat cum lube loop man.
My favorite case.

Because I can.
Seriously. That was my reason.
And I think it looks neat. I love the chaos of tubes.

This looks beautiful, but you could do with some Zotac cards to fit the black and yellow theme.

Little bit jealous of your cable management, but you know you've got negative pressure right?

Those braided cables look fucking amazing.

What cooler is that?

the guy you said has negative pressure.
i don't think so. he has a tripple rad in the top, reducing airflow.

You might be right, I didn't take the rad limiting airflow into account.

me/10
so small but so much wasted space im confused.
Looks like itll be nice from the outside though, can you post pics.
7/10
very clean cables
>tfw your corsair fans are intake so you cant see muh red rings
10/10
post build
I think that taking the GPU cables downwards through the psu grommet would be better looking, and maybe a sleeved 24 pin extension.
8/10
really clean I dog the all black power cables.
9/10
Does the light bleed through the front or top if the case or is it all side intake vents?
Maybe try the GPU cables on the closer grommet below it, but it looks good as is.
9/10
That UV is really cool, you said you were getting a block too for that 1080 right?
Im sure itll get to 10/10 with that 8/10 as is.
Are those the new corsair fans?
You should test if having that as a phsyx card actually ads any performance, unless it is because you have 5+ displays.
Really like the matching colors on this, the only nitpick that I have is that you are so close to 100% monochrome that i'd heatshirnk that last header on the bottom desu.
10/10
I always like the bequiet coolers look, 8/10 I dont like the neon green grommets from a guts perspective but I bet it matches the case overall.
I think that the firestrike and timespy benchmarks are free they just dont allow you to alter any settings. Cinebench R2 is another one I have seen around but that is usually more about CPU and rendering.
Post your scores and Ill run some too
Really like the build and cable management 10/10
are the GPU temps good with the air from the rad as intake, I guess those 3 fans should handle it.
9/10
Cant wait to see the loop when it is done
already a easy 9/10 though.
plz cable manage stuff behind the mobo tray
6/10
needs more lego, go all the way.
Going full yellow is impressive, nice and snug too
10/10

with the current setup of a 280 rad as intake and 240 in the top for out. my CPU locks at 35c in game (depending on games) and it litterally doesn't generate heat. so my GPU never goes over 64c in games. saw it peak to 71 once in firestrike.

>thanks for the rating aswell.

Continued

Watercooled mobo makes your case look like a water park? are those foam pads making it much quieter?
9/10
Id work on hiding the front IO cables a little and routing them, idk if noctua does industrial versions of those fans, look into that, otherwise looks really good.
damn like 150$ of fans, hope it is quiet
really clean cables 9/10
about as clean as you can get a sleeprr like that.
Really like the ram too
8/10

Cheers for rating, it's near silent and I sit about half a foot away.

I'm planning on getting some braided cables for it at some point. because the cable management isn't as clean as I'd like.

Phanteks PH-TC12LS. Been able to over clock with it even though is a low profile.
Yah im going to pick up another case if something catches my eye and Lian Li has some stuff thats nice.

Objectively the foam pads make my case a bit quiter. But my fans were also pretty loud, even with proper fan curve

Water Park! Yus!

My favourite so far.

2x mekaniska och 2ssds är väl nog?

Can't seem to get a hold of firestrike.

Valley: 2503/59fps
Heaven: 954/34fps
Timespy: 6643(gpu 7115/ cpu 4831)
Cinebench R15: 117fps, 600CB

Where settings were available it was on Ultra, tesselation on medium and 4K.

Didn't run with chrome and my work softwares off though.

Gonna try OCing tomorrow.

Do you like the monitor?

Pretty. So elegant in a simple way.

Did you make that PSU shroud yourself?

Yes they are the new mag lev fans, I don't have many games that support PhysX but I'll eventually get Fallout 4 and test it with that, I do use it also because I have 2 analog monitors and each card only supports one. And ya I'll do something about that header eventually.

Yup, though I think the Acer is cheaper now compared to what they were at launch. It's not got the space of a triple monitor set up but the lack of bezels makes it a great monitor for gaming and photoshop/lightroom/maya work. Easier to run than 4K but still plenty of room.

I considered it but I didn't have the spare time to design my own, so I found a company that does them online.

breddy good
dayum
nice psu
moms spaghetti
noice

How am I supposed to manage the cables on a non-modular PSU in a mid tower case?

Why not just get a cheap GT 610?

The EVGA model has two analog outs and requires no extra power. It'll look better and probably even cut your temps a bit.

>behind
>the
>motherboard

.exe

>so I found a company that does them online
You know, sharing is caring user.

Step 1: Buy a case manufactured sometime after the cold war.

It's a shitty pre-built that I've only been able to upgrade the GPU and psu.
I'm getting the corsair 750D for my next build.

coldzero.eu

a 750d will look fucking retarded if you're gonna use something smaller than ATX and a non modular PSU that hasnt been cable managed. go for a mid tower from corsair or the Fractal R5 which is my personal fav.

I got both cards for free. I'm laid off work and didn't have a PC, bought most of the stuff I wanted and a friend who was living with me for free a while back lent me a monitor and gave me his old 780, another buddy gave me a 650 he found in his closet and I bought the 2 analog dell monitors for $15 off kijiji. I've been slowly adding to the setup as I get money working on friends cars for cash and stuff like that. Probably gonna replace my mouse next.

If I didn't already have this 650 I would definitely grab a GT 610

I was planning on getting a new motherboard and CPU as well, this is the build I'm working on.
pcpartpicker.com/list/86HCLD and pic related was the GPU that came with the machine.

get 4790k or 6700k instead of 4770k (same price but better)
get a 120gb SSD for the OS instead of 60, i did that mistake.
why get a 980 ti when 1070 is out ?

prefferably aftermarket cooler on the GPU for lower noise and better cooling.
and you forgot to put in a CPU cooler unless you're gonna use the stock intel.

The CPU cooler is a custom part, I'm using the corsair liquid cooler and same thing for the gpu cooler. But thanks for the tip on the CPU.

Also forgot to mention I already have a 980 Ti, I'm most likely going to get a 1070/80.

it's not worth it if you already have one 980 ti. wait for 980 ti's to drop more, and get another one used. going from 980 ti to 1070/80 is marginal
>random pic i found in 1 sec.

danke
That's cool man, it's nice to have friends like that.

Wait for 1080Ti atleast. 1080 isnt a big upgrade from 980Ti, and 1070 is only a Lateral upgrade.

is that foam stuff in there to keep dust out?

I cant get the same settings as you as I got unrealistically above on heaven and below on valley with Ultra 4k 8xAA medium tesselation

Timespy 6416 (GPU 6940/CPU 4495)
Cinebench 139 FPS/803 CB

My card has a stock OC of 2105 Mhz 5ghz ram

Can you sli a 980 with a 1080?

>not poster
its sound dampening foam.

maybe with Directx 12. but don't count on it.

No. Don't be silly.

No light bleeding at all, since then I took the time to fit the 6pin nearer, more it's more tidy now.

>4770k delidded
So you have the HSF (or water cooling connector, whatwasitcalled) directly on the die?

i removed the lid of the 4770k added CLU (coolaboratory liquid ultra). removed the excess glue residue that kept the Heatshield attached to the die, put it back without glue. and locked it in the retention bracket in the socket and mounted the cpu block like every other block. it's not directly on to the CPU die

Isn't the lid/IHS aluminum? I though coolaboratory wasn't advised for any contact with aluminum?

copper.

...

...

Ah.

Too bad I'm too paranoid about ripping or cracking the die or I'd try it on my 4790k.
