How do I become a better Haxxer then the Hacker known as Sup Forums?
Stick more dicks on helmet head
I saw a post before about how somebody was given this challenge and this was the way he handled it, and whilst this gives the result, it was still essentially using multiplication and not finding an alternative solution.
What would be a better way to tackle this?
This would be much better off using a for loop, and adding over each iteration of the loop.
Just started working so I'm looking to upgrade my ISP. Where's a good place to start?

Not worried about ivy bridge, any i5 would be more than satisfactory. Or gayming.
Would probably install Debian.
I just installed Gnome to Arch and now I want to use i3. I installed i3 and disabled Gnome's GDM but I don't know how to make i3 auto stars, what do?

Why do compilers get so fucky and act seemingly unpredictable doing the same task in different ways... how could compiler optimization defend 2 operations where one will do?
I saw a kind of flowchart/tree for fields/areas in CS
On the top it had stuff like database systems, compilers etc and branched downward
Does anyone have that pic? Its a difficult picture to google as most results are course flowcharts from uni's
Im learning javascript. Where to go from here?
So I live in an apartment with someone above me and someone below me is there a way to sound proof my room so I can blast my music somewhat without disturbing anyone?
Python if you just want to add a new language
Java if you want to learn OOP (I will be torn to pieces for this suggestion). Python/C++ will also do, but I suggested Java solely because of the immense and structured documentation that exist for it on the oracle page
If you want to put to use the functional elements in javascript (and recently java) touch on Scheme
if you want to webdev look at css and html, and react.js (will also be torn to shreds for this one)
if you absolutely have to go for something functional, do OCaml, do not be tempted by haskell/scala. lisp is also optional but it wont satisfy your needs in this catecory
If you want to be useful do C and C++. Understanding pointers/stacks etc all the CS concepts is important, and learning from hard experience is better than reading about it in a book
if nothing interrests you, 'learn' sqlite, knowing how to use sqlite, postgreql etcetc is immenesly beneficial and it shoulnt take long

Let's say I have a sheet with names, age, sex, and specific condition.
How do I summarize the data?
To be like this for a specific condition, there are 3 males of age 34.
What terms should I search for in libre calc?
>sqlite
This. So much this.
A few hours learning the basics of sqlite has made my bash scripts over9000 times more powerful
Why is my disk usage fluctuating like this? Is this normal?
And yes, I know that my download speed is very low, please don't rub it in my face.
I'm really dumb
Really really dumb you guys
I've been using this wireless network adapter N thing from 2007 to connect to my wifi router for like 3 years on my desktop. Well now that shits broken and I can't find it online anymore cause it's so old and dated. My motherboard has no in built pci network adapter so I need another USB one to plug into my pc so I can go online. What one do i buy? Pic related is something like I've been using for like the last 3 years of my life.
Help me get back into the botnet and get online please I lov u lots

i don't think you can even buy pre-N wifi cards anymore unless you go out of your way
Hey Sup Forums,
I'd like to get a quickstart in Javascript. I'm a CS major in a relatively prestigious university (yeah, I've come to accept that I'll be a code monkey for life) and I was wondering if there are any good books to learn Javascript so I can make my own website for basic shit. I know how to program (obviously) in C, C++, and Javascript.
tldr; good books to learn javascript pls, i'll love you forever
What exactly is preventing you from using an ethernet cable..?
>Is kat.al safe?
I sure fucking hope so I just downloaded an album from there, what's the worst that could happen?
...
Yes
Also, third world download speeds.
>How do I summarize the data?
This is more of a statistics question than it is technology - though, STEM majors probably know more statistics than anyone else. bAnyway, this is quite a complicated question, and it depends on how you're gonna implement data structures for your program. Since you're asking about how to summarize data given a sheet with names, age, sex, and a condition, I would recommend getting a rudimentary understanding of SQL, since that's one of the biggest standards for anything database relatd
Will this work? I'm literally computer illiterate I'm sorry. Which style am i supposed to get
I got some fishy af ads last I was there
Thats with AdBlock on
Eloquent Javascript.
Due to living situations I'm super far away from my router and need a wireless method of connecting
If you're looking for a USB wireless card literally anything works nowadays, it's pretty hard to find something that isn't compatible with your OS/hardware.
Help me Sup Forums!
I decided to install Linux Mint over my Win10 installation. I ended up with Linux Mint, but whenever I want to install Windows again, my laptop simply ignores the installation media, be it USB or DVD. What am I doing wrong and how can I fix this? I thought it was a UEFI issue, but apparently it isn't. Thanks.
looks fine
how was your reception? your last card had bigger antennas, if you're within 10 meters of your AP, then these tiny ones will do fine, otherwise consider a card with antennas such as;

USB or CD/DVD?
context?
USB.
Best i can think of is a simple SQL query
>Select * from [SHEET NAME] where specificCondition = [CONDITION] and age = [AGE] and sex = [SEX]
or if you're looking to get every possible combination just use the "group by" statement.
On how to execute SQL queries in libre calc see
ask.libreoffice.org
forum.openoffice.org
There's probably a simpler way to do it but I never worked with libre stuff
Really?
it's not that simple?
Is there no way for libre calc to calculate how many "male"/"female" cell and and see what is the age?

I need to cut back the cost on this build.
CPU/RAM more important than GPU for my needs.
What do?
get a cheaper chipset if you don't plan on using any Z features.
>portable
>cheap
>good gaymen performance
Pick two.
Yep. You'll probably have to restart your router so it assigns a new IP address to your router, but other than that it'll be painless. I've had good luck with ones from asus.
Just take a screenshot.
Headphones. Better price to quality ratio than speakers too.
>not using ublock origin
Generally the best idea is to install windows first so you don't have to fuck around with GRUB twice. Make sure you don't use the whole drive and save enough space for linux.
When you're booting, does any message appear like "press F9 to select boot device" or something like that?
Holy shit, the external antenna isn't just for show on that one. Nice find.
Yes.
Get a cheaper case. Doesn't that CPU come with a cooler already?
Portable and good enough gaming performance
>Nice find.
literally the cheapest result with an antenna
It does recognize the USB but it just passes it and goes on booting Mint.
I don't know what that is so no. The cheaper stuff I find are like 'Gaming' mobos. Should I be concerned?
I can get an i5 6600 3.2 that comes with a cooler. Do those coolers work well though?
the chipset is on your motherboard.
en.wikipedia.org
Did you just randomly pick a motherboard and hoped it work?
Z170 are the most expensive ones because they let you overclock your CPU. Your CPU isn't unlocked though so it's of no use to you.
sorry for "shilling" good taste
Thought you meant the motherboard. I picked one that is compatible with all the other things and had extra room for upgrade later one.
So I can get an i5 6600. I think it is still a Skylake though.
Any answer to this?
Thanks, not exactly what I wanted though.
Topre Realforce 104U Keyboard with PBT Spacebars FOR $ 220 !
is Topre worth it or just a meme?
Thanks senpai
I want to program web applications, make websites, dev mobile apps and mobile games and eventually get into the iOs dev side of things. Theres just so many languages and so many ppl are giving me all different kinds of advice
What's YIFY all about and is the quality decent enough for a movie?
Seems to be the only thing I can find with decent seeders
I want to be able to show a barcode or qr code to my laptop's webcam and have it unlock my windows machine.
How would I do this?
I've had my power button on my case stop working recently. I swapped the reset button over to function as the power button, and after about a week this also stopped working.
I bought 3 of these last week (cus they're cheap as fuck) and I've already had one of them die on me - is this going to be my PSU or my motherboard that is fucking my shit up?
you could try playing around with windows hello
Thinking of getting pulsedmedia seedbox
Despite being the same price, the Super250 L looks better in every way to the Storage100 and curious as to what makes them different enough to be the same price
Please explain to me like I'm a retard how to run ruby scripts on android.
Got $100 amazon gift card, don't know what to buy. What do?
That's a pretty tall order
The stuff that you most definitely will need is html and javascript for anything on the web
android: java + html
iOs: objective-C
no way around these two, as far as I know
My advice to you is to pick either front-end or back-end and then, full stack developing
I think it could be difficult for someone fairly new to create anything of worth by themselves
My suggestion for you, if you know 0/little programming:
1: learn python, and learn it well. This will take months
2: learn sql along with bash, and learn to use sql with python. this will take a week to get a foundation, a month to learn pretty well for whatever it is that you are capable of at this stage
3a: learn Java. This will suck and dissuade you a bit. It will take some time
3b: learn gtk+ or qt to make GUI's for python. Just to get a hang of it and to understand it.
4: Its time for Java no matter what. I dont know anything about your pace, but this might be 1 or 3 months. Learn threads, this is important. Not just threads, the theory behind them, such as race conditions and the like. This is important if you ever want to program for the device you're using. This is a horrendus step altogether but threading (not realy threading) on python is bizzarely bad. And you need java anyway for mobile apps
5a: You are ready for android apps
5b: You are ready for objective-C
5c: Learn how to use webGL. This is browser based graphics, like games. The fragment shaders will be the most difficult thing you ever do in life unless you've taken QM
>is this going to be my PSU or my motherboard that is fucking my shit up?
neither, either the switches you have are shittier than usual, or you're somehow being too rough with them
new pants and shoes
>is the quality decent enough for a movie?
He/they put up rips in 720 and 1080p. Yes, that's perfectly fine.
Most TV's and monitors can't even display higher resolutions then that.
Sadly there's quite a few cretins around who'll tell you that anything lower then a 12gb bluray with 51 audio channels is sub-par.
The yify haters I've encountered are mostly those creatures.
Exactly what you posted. Wearing mine right now, it has call and alarm vibration with the app, and it has a 30 day battery life. Cost me about £15.
Is there anything wrong with Seagate HDDs instead of buying WD or is that just a Sup Forums meme
The 6700 gives about 30% better performance in multithreaded processes thanks to hyperthreading, so it would be better for you.
Check out sager. They have 15" models with dedicated graphics that are 5.5lbs if you consider that portable enough. Not obnoxiously ricey either.
Gentoomen library.
Try it out first or get it from somewhere with a good return policy.
It's good enough. Sometimes the audio quality is bad, but that only happened with one movie. Grab the 1080p ones.
SSD and a trackball.
There's no way your motherboard is burning out switches unless it's trying to put too much power through them. Tear one of the broken ones apart and post pics.
I'm totally stupid when it comes to tails. I think i understand how to do everything i wanna do except keep gpa installed in a fashion that it only appears when i load tails.
Help please?
Their 1.5tb and 3tb ones are problematic.
Their 2tbs are fine though? I really can't justify almost doubling the price for a WD Black 2TB if Seagate's 2TB is fine.
Which kind of cable do I have to use to connect a frontal fan to the PSU?
No problems with mine, and I've had it for years.
No open spots on your mobo? You might want to get a cheap fan controller so it's not running full speed all the time.
Get a terminal emulator, I recommend Termux as is has working packages and shit without root. Just apt update, apt upgrade, apt install ruby and you're good to go :^)
does that mean i'm helpless?
ARP spoofing: should I use an existing program (subterfuge?) or write my own program?
What are some good programs
where did you buy yours?
Is 21:9 a meme?
How can I fill my github history with commits, there used to be some script thing that did it but I can't remember the name
