NSA current capability

>the Snowden leaks just turned 3 years old in June
>the NSA has since completed their Utah data center
>Russia now requires phone companies to keep audio recordings of all calls made available for 6 months, longest the NSA stored calls was 30 days and that was only done in a couple countries
How do you think the NSA's capabilities have grown in the past 3 years?

Not much. They still use a glitchy broken version of Windows 7 that most of their software is dependent on. Not to mention the spying tools they use just leaked.

...

I don't know, but now it is safe to expect that everything, and I truly mean everything is being logged and stored in the data center

>mfw this post will be archived

its worse than that friend, think about it

they have our entire post history - so does google
and they have our IPs

just wait, until TVs are required to come with cameras, its already been like that with laptops for a decade or so

Sup Forums island when?
how about we all pitch in and buy a decommissioned military site and live in it?

Just posting in this thread to get in the NSA archives for threads about the NSA archives

Who cares if they record all my posts? It's not illegal to lie on the interweb, I've made up hundreds of stories back in my Sup Forums days. Obscure your digital footprint, they have extensions that do it for you now n days.

The data centre is a lot smaller than everything. We may not know a whole lot about it, but you can figure out some of their limitations, using power costs and storage space.

Also, unless you're doing something against the security of the American government, you don't need to worry. They have a limited scope that they operate under, and most other criminal shit outside of that scope won't be passed onto the relevant government agency, because 'muh spoopy sekret knowlegs' mentality extends into government too.

>The file appeared to be real, according to former NSA personnel who worked in the agency’s hacking division, known as Tailored Access Operations (TAO).

>“Without a doubt, they’re the keys to the kingdom,” said one former TAO employee, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss sensitive internal operations. “The stuff you’re talking about would undermine the security of a lot of major government and corporate networks both here and abroad.”

>Said a second former TAO hacker who saw the file: “From what I saw, there was no doubt in my mind that it was legitimate.”

Why don't the Japanese know how to kiss? They just lick each other's tongues

If the NSA knows everything that happens online, why was there any question that Hillary was running an unsecured email server?

They have no souls, remember?

I am pretty sure they just store everything in that Utah data center. It's fucking huge. I am assuming NSA can mostly record everything you do on the internet by now

Is there a torrent..?

Ah, right.

I was actually reading some stuff on the Equation Group today after the NSA stuff yesterday. When you stop and think about it, it's pretty fuggen skari

>audio recordings of all calls
Is this true? This is a huge amount of data that would be very costly to store, AND very hard to access/read efficiently.

tfw i can see the utah data center from the roof of my house

>and most other criminal shit outside of that scope won't be passed onto the relevant government agency, because 'muh spoopy sekret knowlegs' mentality extends into government too.

This is really true

The amount of petty politics and shit that goes on across agencies is amazing.

Utah data center could probably store 1TB for every us citizen, maybe more. They have an unlimited budget too. I mean, they are literally the NSA

Run

>audio recordings of all calls
>huge amount of data
I don't think so, audio files are small. videos use much, much more space... (yet youtube and porn sites exist, you can imagine the amount of data the NSA can manage)

>Also, unless you're doing something against the security of the American government, you don't need to worry. You do know that all 3 letter agencies were recently given access to the NSA's databases, don't you? The scope is expanding.

I had an extension that did random google searches for a while. I uninstalled it when i looked at the logs and saw it was searching for cp occasionally.

It has gone way down because of all the incompetent niggers and women Obama has hired.

>it was searching for cp occasionally.
ho-ly fuck m8

What is the point of collecting all this data?

Read 1984 (they collect the data for complete control. Government can even use data from present to prosecute political enemies in the future for laws that don't even exist yet). Also, the NSA hires more mathematicians than any other entity in the entire world.

all calls are being recorded in my country, and im in the third world..

Do we even know if the NSA is collecting more than just Metadata?

Yes, their XKeyscore and DISHFIRE databases both store much more than metadata on everyone in the US.

Source?

The fucking snowden leaks, jesus christ

Who is this snodin you speak of?

There are literally Wikipedia pages on them you fucktard, STFW.

This guy

mormon overlords

>mormons looking through my porn
lol

sure m8, "the extension" was googling it.

there wasn't. And if you think an "unsecured mail server" is meaningful, then you would lose your mind at the way top secret information is handled IRL. At the end of the day it's a bunch of fully-grown kids playing "fort".

>why was there any question that Hillary was running an unsecured email server?
It's obvious they knew, and they just didn't care at all

Were there ever any nudes posted?
He was kind of cute then. Even now.

How is that account tied to Edward Snowden, or is it a joke?

>current capability
I dunno, about 15 amps?

>videos use much, much more space... (yet youtube and porn sites exist
Now, when you put it down like that, it really makes me think.

Sauce, please.

>tfw haven't had a job since snowden leaks
