>Starting at $500
>Implying your average AMD shill can afford it

Also it's going to be 480RX all over again, just stop hyping AMD.

>unlabeled axes

>$500
welp, going with g4400 this time.

benchmarks said it's haswell i5 tier

if this costs 500 then AMD truly is finished

I dont understand.....isnt intel on Skylake?

>Starting at $500

Sauce?

6600k 6700k is skylake

5820/5820/5960x is broadwell
6800/6850/6900/6950 is broadwell e

>CPU better than competition
>Only AMD Shills will buy it

I don't follow your logic here?

My huge gapping asshole and the fact AMD stated Summit Riddge is supposed to be ultra high end gaming/server series.

They will for sure have lower end ones like they had with the Phenom II x6

There is no source, he made it up.

Summit Ridge is consumer socket AM4, it is not an enterprise Opteron.
$500 is the suspected MSRP of top end Summit Ridge, the pricing doesn't start there.

So now that this bit has been settled, I would be genuinely surprised if AMD released a CPU faster than the cheapest Haswell-E processor.
I always said that if AMD released anything faster than my 5930K I would jump wagon.

So this processor only outpreforms intel's previous generation chip and its not even out yet......am i missing something?

Oh, last bit of information so you don't ever spread misinformation ever again.

I don't get AMD's approach. Every time they try to go big and compete with big boys like Intel and Nvidia they get burned badly, have to lick wounds and start selling budget/garbage tier CPUs/GPUs for next 3 years and then come up with another "massive game changer" that's dead 3 months later. If I were them I'd just stick to mid/low range budget and offer great performance/price products. Trying to compete with Intel in servers market where AMD literally doesn't exist is just fucking silly. They've spent billions on R&D for Zen and they come out with $300+ products (Somehow I doubt they will sell 8c/16t cpus for less than $300) that will just hit and miss whole market. At least they have their APUs and dominate console market even though their APUs are so garbage that Sony/MS had to upgrade their consoles 3 years after release.

The 8 core Haswell-E i7 5960X is over $1000 new.

Offering somewhat comparable rendering/workstation performance for $500 would be fucking tremendous.

Out performing the stock 5930K wouldn't be much of a task if they handle CCX clocking independently. They're totally going to lose in FPU stuff, but they should best it in a lot of metrics by pushing clocks higher.

>The 8 core Haswell-E i7 5960X is over $1000 new

Jesus fucking christ. Fuck Intel. How is this ok.

No competition in the market.

So they are competing with intel on a previous generation? Not trying to shill but is that how bad AMD is doing?

It's true 8 core, not amd "8 core". AMD was selling their A64fx for similar prices.

Considering the new Intel cpus are like 0,000000000001% better than their last generation while costing 3x more does it really matter?

AMDs cores were true, their scheduler wasn't.

Intel's own CPUs are barely competing against their previous generation

lolno polease stop talskign

Stuff that never happened.

And inane data pulled out of thin air.

What's the point of all this?

>And inane data pulled out of thin air.
>What's the point of all this?

All true baby

A gaming benchmark that effectively only uses 6 threads on a 16 thread processor.
The fact that in that benchmark it's 40% faster than a 4Ghz+ Piledriver chip and only slightly behind 4Ghz Haswell i7 means AMD is telling the truth. IPC is at least 80% higher than Piledriver and at least on par with Haswell.

Broadwell-E literally just came out.
Its about a 3% IPC uplift over Haswell-E, and its biggest feature is that they added 2 more cores to the die and sell the SKU for $1700.

Tell me how competing with Haswell-E is bad. I dare you.

I want to see a single piece of data where

>Intel cpus are like 0,000000000001% better than their last generation while costing 3x more does it really matter

is shown to be true. You can use all the memes and fallacies you want to try and get away from this.
You know that it is inane.

Amd doesn't DESERVE to beat Intel, not when Intel supports race equality, uses non-conflict materials, supports open source and promotes gender equality and uses 10 times more R&D

> supports open source
By putting proprietary blobs in drivers for their VGAs.

>Delayed to 2017

AYYMD IS FINISHED & BANKRUPT

Yeah like how every amd product was supposed to be better than th competiton before release then it was always much worse in real life

When will amd retards learn?

>uses non-conflict materials

yet they use conflit brains

IF AMD bankrupts, Intel prices will skyrocket.

Dont be fools. Buy and help AMD.

'based on amd internal testing

Those benchmarks were cringey as fuck
>using MUH GAYMES to benchmark a cpu
>Using a poorly rendered Blender model because AMD couldnt afford 3dsMax
>random chart that doesnt mean shit

RX490 and zen 8core.

cant wait to bench ashes all night long

The Intel's newest replacement for Haswell -E is somewhere around $4-5K
