Microsoft Edge

Sometimes i start up Microsoft Edge because i get tired of Chrome and Firefox slowing down on certain pages.
Edge is fast and Clean.

How many of you will switch Edge to your standard browser when they have implemented extensions?

They already have...

I can't find anything. Isn't it a "preview" build only that can install extensions?

no, it's in the anniversary update

Alright, thanks!

>using Windows 10
Edge is just a rebranded Internet Explorer.

all it needs now is ublock and tampermonkey

wtf i love microsoft now

i heard it uses the same api as google chrome

Downloading the anniversary update now. Fuck FIrefox and Chrome.

Will report back if edge can actually use chrome extensions.

it cant, you have to port extensions from chrome to egde using microsoft.com/en-us/store/p/microsoft-edge-extension-toolkit/9nblggh4txvb

Goddammit.

it literally has nothing to offer over FF / Chrome.

It's sad when MS has to pay people to use their browser. As if setting it as the default without your consent during the Windows 10 upgrade wasn't enough.

There's already a working ublock origin port on github

>working
It makes the whole browser hang and crash if you try to select more host lists and save

Edge™ has been working great on my new Surface Pro 4™. I love the integration with my brand new Windows Phone™ and Xbox™.

Already have. Adblocking makes it perfect for my use.

Satya, please..

I'll when they fix dem shitty tabs

>windows 10
hahah, no

edge always runs in the background so anyone who uses 10 is using edge lmao...
#botnet

I can't wait until Firefox and Chrome copy every single innovation again.

>talking out of your ass
It's not. Internet Explorer is still available in Windows 10 alongside Edge

Why is the browser market so shit?

Midori seems OK.

Does anyone use eww (emacs)?

I just installed it. It works fine so far with all the additional lists and such. So far.

It's a bit slower about page fetches, but everything else is fast and seems OK so far. Will be a few months until it gets enough extensions to actually use, though. The Github uBlock works pretty well but has some issues while adding/choosing elements afterwards.

So there is indeed a chance that Edge will be good enough for a switch really soon?

It's faster than both browsers you mentioned and gives your machine much longer battery life

This. Who uses 10 anymore?

>it literally has nothing to offer over FF / Chrome.
it's a lot faster and lighter than bloatfox.
it uses way less battery than chrome.
there's no reason not to use edge if you are on windows.

mememoon works just fine, the only issue I have is the unnecessary title bar in windowed mode, but that's Firefox thing, what's up with that shit? still it's comparable to edge in size
waste of screen space
also I make use of the page info feature quite often
on edge having history on the right side triggers me and the download interface is awful
I will probably never use it for the above reasons, I doubt extensions can do much to fix it

nwm I just found addon that puts the tabs in the title bar, so fuck edge

AdBlock / AdblockPlus fucked up the loading times on my Microsoft Edge tho tbqh bh famiglia desu kun ne ne~

It's impossible to load youtube.

Enjoy side loading the extension everytime you close Edge
