Noise isolation ≠ Noise cancellation

Ten posts too early, faggot.

looking for some wireless iems that are sweat resistant and long battery life, I was looking at the jaybird x's or x2s but I thought Id check with you guys for any alternatives since I hear they break after ~2 months of use

im going to be using them for bike riding and going to the gym

apple ear buds both older and newest models both are extremely uncomfortable to me/my ears

also a mic isnt needed

The LG neckband bluetooth stuff (HBS-850, 900) would have a solid battery life, more so than the Jaybirds. Don't know about the sweat resistance though.

>a mic isnt needed
Most bluetooth models have one whether you want it or not.

Enough bass for you?

>dat peaky treble

how are the sound quality? or do you know

Not him but LG's bluetooth earphones are the best sounding bluetooth earphones.

Have you tried Beats or Bose wireless?

The LG Tone series?
They have some broad tone controls built into the device, you can adjust them to make broad EQ lifts or reduction.
Stock setting on 900 is well balanced and smooth in response. You can add more bass as needed.

The new 1100 flagship sound is more questionable.

The one that hits the requirements for the least amount of money.
You have to say what those requirements are first.

Only the over-ear, not the in-ear models.

Can I get something like this but with a built in microphone?

It has a 3.5 so the boompro will work.

Treble extension please, mildly damped.
Flatter is preferred but not important.
>Past headphones
I do not like Etymotic cables and how the stem meets the earpiece. I do find the sound balance passable, but doesn't matter.

so theres a 3.5 jack on the headset that the boompro connects to, correct?

...

Try the Etymotic MK5 or HF5.

AKG K702's
Yes/No?

No

Well explain why then

SE535

When I say I don't like Ety cables, I mean MC5/MK5/HF5/ER4.

You could also say "why consider the K702 to start with"?

The shell complicates deep fit somewhat. The Shure triple flange tips that make it easier were agony. Also has miserable extension, even with only a little damping.

Tried DBA-02 MKII or Brainwavz B2?

Both seem out of production but are deep fit.

What is your requirements for treble extension, they don't seem better than the Etys at treble extension.

Currently using the Superlux 668B's, but they feel kinda cheap, uncomfortable and are getting a bit smelly. Plus I'm kinda getting fed up of the open design.

What are some decent replacements around the £50 mark? Basically looking for the opposite of listed above, so:

Thinking of getting the Sennheiser HD558 headphones. Some people here warned buyers that they break easy/ sound tinny after a while. Really want to use them because they're on sale and comfy as well(I wear glasses).

Anyone her have experience with them?

HD451

It's not tinny and no it won't break easily, the new revision which has been out for a few years is very durable.

Thanks friend !

DBA-02 mk1, also sold as Brainwavz B2 and some other rebrands which are also discontinued. The wire frayed off at multiple points, multiple repairs made over years.

~16 kHz is fine, DBA-02 only goes a little higher at best. The ER4 has a big peak at 15-16kHz.

yes, any of the big three are good one way or another.

Tyll _just_ figured out that soundstage is affected by the frequency response. I thought this was well known but apaparently not.

>It seems to me the laid back sound of those two headphones in the presence region—say between 800Hz and 2.5kHz—gives the impression of more distance between me and the vocalist.
>What I'm geting at here, I think, is that depth of image on a headphone may not be something achieved with accuracy as much as it might be an illusion caused by a change in tonal response.

Is the Hyper X Cloud II good for the price (£60) ? I don't need the mic, but I just heard they're rebrands of actual decent headphones.

>apaparently
Just end me.

Don't get the sph9500 unless you have a massive head. Clamping force is weak as.

He must have read my post on SBAF about that being the reason behind the HD600 commonly being described as having no soundstage.

Yeah.

Anons, is it really worth spending over $100 on IEMs when chink shit exists?

Does a Zircon, KZ, or Piston have so much less SQ and clarity over something like a MA750 or GR07 that would justify spending more?

I'm beginning to think you're just paying for better build quality, accessories, and maybe a different sound signature.

>Anons, is it really worth spending over $100 on IEMs when chink shit exists?
For build quality, warranty, features, sq, etc? Of course.

Anyone Hifiman He-400i users here or am I the only one?

How does a Koss KSC75 compare to a Porta Pro. I already own a Porta Pro and I just ordered a KSC75 on Amazon Global just a minute ago.

I need headphones for on the go. I have the CX200, but they don't work anymore. I was going to get another Sennheiser CX200 because they are so cheap, but I might as well ask here if there's anything better. I'm open to having actual headphones if they are small and portable enough.

What other headphones do you own?

HD600.

Reminder to have good source audio components.

The left driver in my DT990's seems to have bit the dust. I remember a few weeks ago I plugged em in and the left ear had no sounds so I gave the plug a twist in case they weren't plugged into the amp right and it worked again so I thought it was nothing.

The wire has been well looked after and has no visible damage to it, nor does the plug. Is replacing the driver expensive/difficult? Or could the plug be dud even though there's no visible damage?

My integrated realtek produse studio quality 192khz with 24 floating bit. Shit on you picture cant.

Thanks.

Alright, so here's the deal: I use pomade in my hair. It's not a matter of choice, it's that Imy ancestry is slavic and hungarian and if I don't use that then I have a matted mess as I squat on a porch while drinking vodka. I'm looking for headphones (preferably under 100 dollars, hard limit 150 dollars) that won't fuck up my hair. For the sake of argument, assume that I'd like both closed and open headphones. The closer to neutral, the better. What would you suggest?

Mostly listen to jazz, weeb music, and electronic music. basically looking for a closed version of the dt880 with good bass, was currently looking at the fostex th-x00 but wanted some suggestions from you guys.

u wot m8?

My name is not cant and I don't think I can shit on a digital image literately even if i tried.

That's hardly what limits output quality in practice or works as an indication of quality at all.

>floating bit

KSC75

>somehow looks even worse than the porta pro

Oh shit nigger what are you doing

>I'm looking for headphones (preferably under 100 dollars, hard limit 150 dollars) that won't fuck up my hair.
Get IEMs or start wearing a do-rag.

You raise a fair point. Could I do worse than /csg/'s zircon meme?

There are a lot of better choices at the $100 price point. MA750 comes to mind.

Audio-technica ATH-EM7X / ATH-EW9 if you want fancy clip ons.

It's not the driver. Could still be the cable/plug but I'd guess the solders inside the cup connecting to the drivers are disconnected.

How's the price to performance ratio? I'm looking to maximize that.

Need something weird friends

I need RF wireless headphones
My mom has been using the same pair of wireless headphones since like 2005, they're beat up as shit, only one side works.

So I wanna get her some nice ones

As to the reason why we get RF headphones is because my mom struggles with sleeping (I got that from her too, rip me), so at night she watches shit on tv with her headphones to not wake my dad up. My parents are tech illiterate as fuck, and rf headphones are so easy to operate, literally turn the headphones on, audio on tv stops, audio on headphones start

I'm not asking anyone to do the work for me, I just want opinions and to know if anyone has experience with rf headphones

Thoughts?

Which the "better" out of these:

Brainwavz HM5/LINDY HF-100 (does it matter which one? Buying from UK and these seem to be the only variants available. Are they any different to the NVX XPT100/Fischer Audio FA-003's??? I can't get those here...)

Denon D1100

Creative Aurvana Live!

For general media consumption (films, games, music) I dont really have a preference in music since I make an active effort to listen to new stuff, so i dont really gravitate towards one specific genre.

These are all around the same price, closed back (important for me), and actually available here in the UK. If you've got any other suggestions, lemme know.

Thanks.

I would use them daily and also for sports (Running, biking), so they should at least stay in place well
>Past headphones
Been using the Shure SE215 for about two years now and the left side died a while ago, and the right one is about to. They were great for sports but I feel a bit overpriced for the quality. (Or maybe I have shitty ears that can't distinguish sound quality, so cheap iems could also work)

I fucking love me setup.

>bumps

the K701 doesn't have bumps
it also doesn't have bass

The made in china(your pic) doesn't. Mine does. The bumps don't bother me, though

I thought I've seen very old K701s without bumps too, maybe they did it for a while.
There are too many x7x variations.

I fucking loved the Denons when I had them, but they're kinda fragile. Look into the Koss Pro DJ series. They sound very similar to my ears.

Been looking at the RHA T20 and Beyerdynamic T51p if anyone has experience with either of those. I'd love something that can pull off a wide-sounding soundstage in a small package.

Is there any performance differences between JDS Labs O2 AMP vs B Stocks version? Or is purely cosmetic?

I'll be powering my BEATS BY DRE :^)

The current lack of bumps is one of the reasons i want one in my collection, but i'm not sure if it will be the K702, a K7xx or some other variation.
>closed and comfy
DT770 or K553 perhaps?
I like it, but as someone said earlier, the others in the big three (plus a few more) are all good one way or another.

Why?

What's your beef with Spotify?

pls respond

I don't see why a B-Stock anything would perform differently.

how do i know if this is a legitimate seller

i originally had a link to some ebay seller for piston 3's

anyways what is the cheapest way to get the piston 3's

will my 80ohms DT770s be able to run correctly on a netbook w/ an amp?
if not is the fiio e10k the best amp i could get? i recieved a brainwavz AP001 for free when i copped my iems will it do the trick?
