looking for some wireless iems that are sweat resistant and long battery life, I was looking at the jaybird x's or x2s but I thought Id check with you guys for any alternatives since I hear they break after ~2 months of use
im going to be using them for bike riding and going to the gym

The LG neckband bluetooth stuff (HBS-850, 900) would have a solid battery life, more so than the Jaybirds. Don't know about the sweat resistance though.

Not him but LG's bluetooth earphones are the best sounding bluetooth earphones.

Have you tried Beats or Bose wireless?
Caleb Martinez
The LG Tone series? They have some broad tone controls built into the device, you can adjust them to make broad EQ lifts or reduction. Stock setting on 900 is well balanced and smooth in response. You can add more bass as needed.
The new 1100 flagship sound is more questionable.

It has a 3.5 so the boompro will work.

When I say I don't like Ety cables, I mean MC5/MK5/HF5/ER4.
You could also say "why consider the K702 to start with"?
The shell complicates deep fit somewhat. The Shure triple flange tips that make it easier were agony. Also has miserable extension, even with only a little damping.
Henry Evans
Tried DBA-02 MKII or Brainwavz B2?
Both seem out of production but are deep fit.
What is your requirements for treble extension, they don't seem better than the Etys at treble extension.

Currently using the Superlux 668B's, but they feel kinda cheap, uncomfortable and are getting a bit smelly. Plus I'm kinda getting fed up of the open design.
What are some decent replacements around the £50 mark? Basically looking for the opposite of listed above, so:
comfy closed UK general all rounders, I browse Sup Forums and listen to whatever interests me

Thinking of getting the Sennheiser HD558 headphones. Some people here warned buyers that they break easy/ sound tinny after a while. Really want to use them because they're on sale and comfy as well(I wear glasses).
Anyone her have experience with them?

It's not tinny and no it won't break easily, the new revision which has been out for a few years is very durable.

DBA-02 mk1, also sold as Brainwavz B2 and some other rebrands which are also discontinued. The wire frayed off at multiple points, multiple repairs made over years.
~16 kHz is fine, DBA-02 only goes a little higher at best. The ER4 has a big peak at 15-16kHz.

Tyll _just_ figured out that soundstage is affected by the frequency response. I thought this was well known but apaparently not.
>It seems to me the laid back sound of those two headphones in the presence region—say between 800Hz and 2.5kHz—gives the impression of more distance between me and the vocalist. >What I'm geting at here, I think, is that depth of image on a headphone may not be something achieved with accuracy as much as it might be an illusion caused by a change in tonal response.

Don't get the sph9500 unless you have a massive head. Clamping force is weak as.

He must have read my post on SBAF about that being the reason behind the HD600 commonly being described as having no soundstage.

Anons, is it really worth spending over $100 on IEMs when chink shit exists?
Does a Zircon, KZ, or Piston have so much less SQ and clarity over something like a MA750 or GR07 that would justify spending more?
I'm beginning to think you're just paying for better build quality, accessories, and maybe a different sound signature.
Justin Collins

I need headphones for on the go. I have the CX200, but they don't work anymore. I was going to get another Sennheiser CX200 because they are so cheap, but I might as well ask here if there's anything better. I'm open to having actual headphones if they are small and portable enough.

The left driver in my DT990's seems to have bit the dust. I remember a few weeks ago I plugged em in and the left ear had no sounds so I gave the plug a twist in case they weren't plugged into the amp right and it worked again so I thought it was nothing.
The wire has been well looked after and has no visible damage to it, nor does the plug. Is replacing the driver expensive/difficult? Or could the plug be dud even though there's no visible damage?

Alright, so here's the deal: I use pomade in my hair. It's not a matter of choice, it's that Imy ancestry is slavic and hungarian and if I don't use that then I have a matted mess as I squat on a porch while drinking vodka. I'm looking for headphones (preferably under 100 dollars, hard limit 150 dollars) that won't fuck up my hair. For the sake of argument, assume that I'd like both closed and open headphones. The closer to neutral, the better. What would you suggest?

It's not the driver. Could still be the cable/plug but I'd guess the solders inside the cup connecting to the drivers are disconnected.

Need something weird friends
I need RF wireless headphones My mom has been using the same pair of wireless headphones since like 2005, they're beat up as shit, only one side works.
So I wanna get her some nice ones
As to the reason why we get RF headphones is because my mom struggles with sleeping (I got that from her too, rip me), so at night she watches shit on tv with her headphones to not wake my dad up. My parents are tech illiterate as fuck, and rf headphones are so easy to operate, literally turn the headphones on, audio on tv stops, audio on headphones start
I'm not asking anyone to do the work for me, I just want opinions and to know if anyone has experience with rf headphones
>Budget 75-150 >Location Burgerland >Source Tv >Preferred type of headphone RF headphone, over ear, full sized >Open or closed closed >Comfort level Extremely painful, I don't know why this is even in the template, its literally a retarded question, obviously everyone wants a comfy pair

Which the "better" out of these:
Brainwavz HM5/LINDY HF-100 (does it matter which one? Buying from UK and these seem to be the only variants available. Are they any different to the NVX XPT100/Fischer Audio FA-003's??? I can't get those here...)
Denon D1100
Creative Aurvana Live!
For general media consumption (films, games, music) I dont really have a preference in music since I make an active effort to listen to new stuff, so i dont really gravitate towards one specific genre.
These are all around the same price, closed back (important for me), and actually available here in the UK. If you've got any other suggestions, lemme know.
Thanks.
