Recently build computer. Ram runs at 2133 not 1066. GPU temp a bit high since i finished running a few benchmarks(36-38 C idle).

speccy reports RAM at half of it's speed because DDR means DOUBLE data rate.

My quad channel 3200MHz reports as 1599MHz

GTX 960 has the most advanced video encode/decode abilities of the 9xx series.

I bought it ~4 months before the 10xx series came out, I wasn't going to waste money on the GTX 970/980/980Ti that have worse hardware encode/decode abilities.

I edit some 4k footage occasionally, having a GPU that can playback without using CPU is never a bad thing.

You're not using more than 1 GPU and you aren't using a 10Gb/s NIC, nor a large RAID array. The only difference between the 5930k and 5820k are the extra PCIe lanes, and you're using none of them... the 5820k has 28 PCIe lanes, the 5930k has 40PCIe lanes. You're using 20. So even on a 5820k you'd have 8 PCIe lanes to spare, as it is you paid $200 for the privilege of having 20 PCIe lanes sit unused.

For DX11 it isn't incorrect at all.

AMD has a higher CPU overhead in single threaded DX11 and has negative performance for DX11 multi-threaded.
It's why DX12/Vulkan can't come fast enough.

The 3570k is good for at least another 2-3 years and wont particularly bottleneck the 1080 in almost any games.

Hyperthreading is not the same thing as having real cores, and most games dont even take advantage of it anyway, the few games that do really only see 20-30% improvement, nowhere near 2x like you'd think given you're doubling your available threads.
