this kills the freetard

Freetards still can't make a player this good.

What? Do people need to pay for this now?

What's so good about f2k anyway?

it's everything in one package, and it's very light

foobar is the one thing i miss about windows since i switched to linux. i can't find anything on linux that is even in the same league. i have a 300gb library and foobar used to run at like 70-90mb

does it play .3ggp files yet?
I record my lectures on my phone and it saves it as that but f2k doesnt support it

Does it stream music?
Does it play .ogg?
Can you customize?

I guess its possible to stream music through it
I don't know
Yes

Yes on ogg

It streams every format that can be streamed.

Why not convert them to mp4s? Their are free devices online. I mean that's an odd extension.

By streaming music i mean like spotify does, and is it on phones aswell?

>Does it play ogg?
Seriously? Does the Pope shit in the woods?

I use it with Wine and it's fine.

No, it can't. Keep using whatever you're using.

>Why not convert them to mp4s?
Because the recordings are 90 minutes long and 80mbs each
its really inconvinient to have to convert each one just to play them a little better on f2k
Currently I play them on win player or VLC

It pleases Sup Forums's autism because you can essentially rebuild every piece of it from the ground up with add-ons and Sup Forums feels the need to customize everything and rice every program they can with anime shit or hax0r colors to match their Gentoo terminals.

Too bad you'll spend 3 hours configuring the addons and downloading different ones because the dependencies fucked everything up and the add-on has been abandoned for 4 years.

I really just like the converter, replaygain and meier crossfeed.

Couldn't give two shits about ricing the GUI, although it's nice to tailor it to your needs.
And the waveform seekbar is nice too.

What was this stupid fuck's reasoning for not making a Linux version again?

Use CMUS. It's a terminal player. I use it on Mac OSX and it's pretty comfy.

Probably a mixture of greed and incompetence

>mfw freetards use 2 applications to play music

He only makes features/versions that he needs and sees a need for.

Sup Forums in a nutshell.

>If I don't need it, nobody else does

>official player of Sup Forums
Yeah no.

mpd it is.

There's a component for that I think, go search on their official components page, there's also one for .amr iirc

UPnP, yes
Definitely
Totally

The Phone app is still very minimum last I checked (~1 month ago) it works and all but it's fugly and has some bugs. Played all my music fine though.

Serious answer: It was built on msvc++ win32
Short answer: Dev is a self centered asshole

Nice for screenfetches but too minimal for my tastes.

truly best player

their phone app is total bs. they fucking kickstarted it, raised more than 100000$ yet they lazily developed them for over 2 years and when they're "done" they're only releasing a butt ugly public beta with plans to sell the app for mlre than 25$. their shit is godsend in pc but they're fucking with mobile users

Oh god the fuck happened to mr.start?!

Why would I use this proprietary pile of shit over Deadbeef?

cmus is a nice player but it can't handle library management & organizing.

you wouldn't, since it's not available for GNU/Linux
shit bait mate

It's still the best mobile music player, though, even if it's unfinished.

Thanks senpai, just checked yesterday.

In what regards is it better than VLC for Android?

It's fine but I'd like to have an option to remove the scrollbars.

Kys

MusicBee is better

Ffuuuck, the Android release has such a great UI that I can't let it go, even when the looks is the only positive thing about the app

Every other music player has godawful options for managing your media library or just looks like cancer (NeutronMP...)

>memeplayer
>memeOS

Unsurprising.

Pretty much everything. VLC doesn't even have gapless playback.

>a music player that only plays music and does nothing else is a meme

yes, exactly that. no library management, no plugins, nothing. but wait, it's SO MINIMAL xD

>I can't manage my library with other light software.
>I prefer using iTunes because it has everything I need to do in one place.

>>I can't manage my library with other light software.

Why should I when there exists a fantastic piece of software that plays my music and also manages it?

>I prefer using iTunes because it has everything I need to do in one place.

This thread is about foobar you illiterate fedora desktop Linux shill.

Not trying to be a smug shit but I'm legitimately curious. Can foobar2000 do this?
quodlibet.readthedocs.io/en/latest/guide/tags/internal_tags.html

(Screenshot is from the Quod Libet wikipedia page)

>It's a terminal player
And it gives you terminal cancer.

I mean wtf, you type in "play" and "pause" etc. in a terminal windows to play music? That's literally the most autistic thing I've ever read on Sup Forums.

Framing this

The best alternative to foobar2000 to me on loonix is deadbeef. But I still use foobar2000 though because the best feature in it to me is that you can quickly update your music's tag's from freedb's online database.

Really useful if you listen to a lot of chink music that always have terrible tagging.

We have many superrior music players like mpd, MOC. And you don't even have a choise because windows never has good music player.

...

>to match their Gentoo terminals

project harder. freetards don't get to use our foobar.

Deadbeef is nice and Idon't need your alien player with regarded gui

> Does it stream music?
Yes. You can feed an icecast server with an addon.

> Does it play .ogg?
Ofc.

> Can you customize?
Hell yeah. deviantart.com/browse/all/customization/skins/?q=foobar&offset=8

Yes.

And a comands on console.

pianobarfly simultaneously rips and listens to Pandora.

mocp no fuss playback with backgrounding process

How do I move this here?

Help a retard out, please.

>Fixed dBpoweramp/SSRC resampler glitching in extreme upsampling cases.
>there's placebofiles doing this
I thought they were contained by JRiver nowadays

It runs fine on Wine, only some plugins and VST stuff doesn't run sometimes or runs with weird graphical issues

>mfw I realize I've been using outdated components from 4 years ago

What's the name of that component that draws the frequency shit like soundcloud?

Waveform seekbar

Thanks.

foobar2000.org/components/view/foo_wave_seekbar

...

But how did he () actually put it on the toolbar?

Oh shit, that must be the Columns UI, right?

foobar2000.org/components/view/foo_ui_columns

the best music player by far

This literally makes zero sense. Majority of linux music players don't run on windows, so how is this apples and grapes?
Classic retarded winfag, doesn't even understand images he saves to shitpost with.

how did you move the seekbar and buttons to the side?

noha-ra.deviantart.com/art/Aubergine-Foobar-Skin-453955370

...

top lol

...

Do you have the whole Michale Jackson discography?

upload it m8.

As if everybody using Linux uses mpd and isn't just listening to shitty metal or trashy ambient "programmer music" on youtube

AIMP is better though

Can you guys please stop posting pictures of your music players? Most of the librarys posted here are embarrasingly bad. I guess that's what happens when you care more about the player then the music.

Why are you so butthurt about the fact that we don't listen to your shitty weaboo anime pop songs

lol this level of lack of self awareness.

>implying I listen to shitty anime music
There's literally people in this thread with fucking Linkin Park and 3 Doors Down in their library.

Lets see your last.fm or library.

...

I stopped using last.fm like a year ago since it's too much of a hassle to set it up on my phone every time I wipe it, but my AOTYSF is the The Body/Full of Hell collaboration album, and I'm not even a metalhead

no

>I record my lectures on my phone and it saves it as that

Then record to another format ya dingus.

i tried playing a 400mb m4a file, cant seek forward, it just skips to the next file
no problem seeking the file with mpv

What's deadbeef called in ubuntu's repo?

dedbeeeeeeef

This

All the le cool le Linux le users use the le ebin le mdp + le ncmpcpp to look like le hackers thinking they're le leet shit for listening to their anime music in le terminals.

oh yeah we do buddy
