how can freecucks even compete?

Paint works fine in both WINE and Virtual Machines

>tfw only good versions of mspaint are on OSes no longer supported

...

> >Not installing Gentoo in paint window
> Manjaro logo in the bottom left corner

rgbpaint

...

fuck this unresponsive piece of shit that stops rendering the window content half the time
i'll stick with running photoshop through wine

real question is, how can windows even compete. that version of paint is gone.

Linux with the Gimp works just fine for me

so gimp is quite good making memes?

Upboat if you think my comment helped.

Why has there not been a single, direct open source clone of classic MSPaint?

Everything I've seen is much heavier or much clunkier.

Using GIMP for the simple tasks that one would use Paint for is like using Photoshop. Gross overkill.

There's this kde thingy, don't ask me it's name.

maybe it's "fine" for you, but it's inarguable that the program is ugly as shit and uses up way too much fucking screen space. The brushes are slow as fuck, and getting a tablet to work (if you're using GIMP for any kind of art, which I assume most people here are) is a god damn nightmare. I'd stick with the KDE paint, paint through WINE, or PS through WINE any day.

Krita is for people who actually can draw

Adobe is for edgy kids and muh full stack web dev

...

packagemanager install xpaint
It's a copy of XP's Paint.

There's xpaint.
