Good thing I got a 64 gb iPhone™ SE :^)
>said increasingly nervous android cuck for the 8th time this year
Anyone remember the nvidia laptop issues pre 2010, basically same issue, shitty BGA. Also xbox rrod, and ps3 ylod. All bga issues except the apple one was caused by physical stress and others by excess heat.
>According to the lawsuit, Apple has been aware of the problem for some time and still refused to fix it.
By the time it became an issue they had already stopped producing the 6 series and were producing 6S series where it is fixed.
>The plaintiffs say that the company made the decision not to use a metal "shield" to protect the necessary parts, resulting in the problem at hand.
I actually seriously doubt the shield would have done much, if anything, to prevent it. It isn't very sturdy and doesn't add much to the rigidity of the board. The underfill has a greater impact.
If they should be sued over anything it would be for not immediately creating an extended warranty service for the issue. They'll continue to deny it until the iPhone7 has been out for three months and then issue it, by then they will have far fewer phones to deal with as most people will have moved to at least a 6S.
Apple has sold millions of laptops with BGA flex issues "caused by excess heat and not physical stress"

Will never happen.
The supplier of the parts is who will be the one to pay.
Apple did their absolute best to fuck over American industry. They really need to die.
