Why has no one made triangle switches yet?
is it a viable option to get a white pbt keycap set and dye keycaps? won't it look "bad", like you obviously dyed them instead of buying legit colored keycaps, like if the color is uneven or it just looks crude somehow with a weird texture or an unnatural oversaturated color or something
What keyboard is that? Ty
Cause that's gay senpai
Yeah they look fine
Mine btw
I currently have browns but I'd like to try stiffer keys. Heard that greens are harder blues and have a "lower tone" sounding click. I also need a new keyboard for my massdrop miami keycaps coming soon.
Any input on the quality of this keyboard? I was hoping to find something with a metal frame or top but I found those are limited to rgb gaymer keyboards and other much more expensive options.

Posting template too, in case you have something better in mind.

How loud is this keyboard? I love the look and feel of mechanical 60% but are they loud? And if so can I make them quieter?
probably the questtest of the cherry swtiches, but the pok3r gives off a "ping" which you could find annoying.
i am typing on a pok3r w/ clears right now and i don't mind it, but that's subjective
>And if so can I make them quieter?
o-rings would stop you from bottoming out which would make it quieter, but also change the feel of the switch
>questtest
quietest**
bleh
damn that's neat
still, my particular situation kinda sucks
>blank white pbt noppoo choc mini set is $45 from aliexpress (maybe cheaper from taobao if a seller will ship it directly to me)
>noppoo set has grey modifiers and i want white ones so i have to get those + 1.75u right shift (hard to find cherry profile white pbt 1.75u right shift by itself)
>then maybe $10+ for the dye
but maybe i can get a regular white pbt keycap set with 1.75u right shift for like $40-50 and modify the spacebar and dye the non-modifier keycaps
QFRs are great boards. They are well made, and have a good quality metal plate, instead of a fully metal case.
Thank you OP for a non-faggot title.
Bit the bullet on Pok3r black with clear switches. Let's hope this things dank. Will post pics when I get it. Should be about 12 hours with amazon prime.

Thanks to /mkg/ threads, I got a Tomoko I-500 for $30 and I love it, it's pretty clicky tho and I don't want it to irritate peeps at work, so I ordered some o-rings for $1 off of egay. Then I bought a Qisan Magicforce with brown switches which I'm typing on now. Thanks for showing me the light Sup Forums.
Where's a good place to buy some dank caps though?
Nice wrist rest gey. Have some meditation.
You can do plenty of things to make a keyboard louder or quieter. I know some of professionals who use them. There are some try their best to quieten them down (to the point of being quieter than rubber domes), and some that just don't give a shit.
If you wanted to silence your board you could add o-rings, lube (sometimes), change switches, use damping pads (sometimes) etc.
massdrop
You could have gotten one good keyboard with that kind of money.
$70? why are my 2 boards bad though? Aside from clone switches

Hey Sup Forums, I've got a problem with my Poker II that's been shitting me for a while, the spacebar gets stuck down in some situations, it's more likely when I press nearer to the stabilizers rather than the switch itself and it even worse when I try to press it down softly or don't immediately release the key after pressing.
The problem had been getting worse lately so I tried to old heat and bend trick because the spacebar came a little bent, which I should've asked for a replacement from MassDrop when I did receive the order but I had already fart-arsed around getting some missing keys from them and so couldn't be fucked. Anyway, the straighter my spacebar is the worse the problem seems to be, so I tried bending it back into place the spacebar cracked, but somehow fixed the problem.
I've noticed that the problem is completely non-existent when I don't force the spacebar onto the stabilizers all the way, so I'm suspecting that they're the culprit in this. I've been looking to order a replacement spacebar from SP but am unsure whether it'll fix the problem at all and whether I should replace the stabilizers as well. Only problem with replacing said stabilizers is that the wire that connects the 2 on the Poker II seems to be custom made and doesn't have the bump in the middle of the wire or extended hooks on either side.
whaddya think Sup Forums? Fixable or just live with a spacebar that looks a bit fucked?
How have you got your terminus laid out? I'm waiting for the parts to arrive for mine. Also where the fuck can I get 10 2u keys in various colours? Seems to be impossible.
Is this worth using?
mine's bigger than yours.
good for you

I'm new to this. Are noise dampeners bullshit?
No, Macs are for fucking retards.
>buy/make phosphorescent paper

>stick to the back of my Model M keys so that they're not visible but illuminate the keyboard
r8 my plan, pa/g/eets

I got some o-rings, and I think they're pretty good. It didn't make my keys quieter, but it made the noise they make bottoming out much deeper pitched, so it was much less annoying and perceivable. It unfortunately didn't make a difference to the spacebar, which can get really fucking annoying compared to my dampered keys.

hi miles
Hello. My dog passed away and I am having a hard time coping.
that stinks
Phosphorescent paper doesn't magically make light, it needs to take in light and then re-emit it later on, the backs of your keys are pretty dark.
And it's gonna be a bitch to take all the keys off and put them back on a buckling spring board.
And the light's gonna be too dim to illuminate the gaps between your keyboard anyway.
I'm pretty sure pic related (the part of the keys I was talking about) gathers enough light to look gud.
I'm not that dumb, I know how phosphorescence works
I was taught only reach for the heat if you busting
So when lift this shirt that's the end of discussion
Click clack motherfuckers! I ain't trying to hear nothing!

That badge
ewww
When you said back it came across like the underside of the key. Should probably specify that.
I think it's gonna be a bitch to do and won't even look that great by the end of it and you'll just have to clean up a bunch of glue residue from your keys.
Not gonna lie I bought these caps as soon as I saw how good they look on a pok3r
...
I've never bought from Taobao before. Should I go for this? I want a cheap alps keyboard but they all cost around 50-60 bucks. The shipping is $24 which puts the total around 40. Should I?
First Mechanical Keyboard, Ducky Shine 5, brown switches, good idea?
Browns are too light for my taste. It depends how tactile you like your keyboard. My first keyboard was a ducky so I would say good idea. Clears have a longer tactile bump and greys are heavier clears
how about Reds instead? Also are they good quality, unlike Razer keyboards?
What mouse do you guys use? USB rather than wireless.
personally I prefer very tactile switches like alps and buckling springs. Mx blues, greens, clears and greys are fine with me, but I don't like linear switches like reds at all. Blacks are somewhat usable with me since they are nice and heavy
what kind of switch is best for typing and programming?
right now I'm using a g402 because I picked it up on prime for 30 bucks
It depends is sound an issue or not?
These switches get very loud. With my buckling spring you can close the door and still hear me typing in the other room.
If you want a ducky keyboard and sound isn't an issue then get it with tactile switches like clears or blues (blues are louder cause they are clicky). If you want a heavier switch then get greys and greens respectively. I don't think ducky sells any keyboards with green switches but they do sell greys.
Now if sound is an issue then get a topre keyboard. There are topre clones like royal kludge if your budget is limited
>what kind of switch is best for typing and programming
with a tactile switch you can feel the actuation point which means you can quickly switch to another key. It did make my typing faster by an extra 10 words per minute, though it may differ for you
Gaming mice are usually pretty good - the one "Gamer" product that is useful for most people. I use an original SS Rival and it's great. Well sized and relatively understated.
Lets see
>Mazer
>Razer
both use the same switch
Both have the same awful font
Both have the same gimmicks
Both use shitty ABS
Both have the same build quality
If you want a Razer keyboard then get a Mazer keyboard
Hi
I almost bought these caps then remembered I'm not poor
!
So it's Razer but cheaper? Cool. I'll go with that simply because it's cheaper.
Any suggestions for a good keyboard for gaming?
are those PBT?
Yeah, they don't feel cheap but I'd much rather get a better set
What's this?
yes
You can get keyboards with better build quality for a similar price, but hey its your parents money after all
Its Memeami by tai hao
noppoo nano 75s
>Memeami by tai hao
I meant the keyboard itself, not the keycaps.
>You can get keyboards with better build quality for a similar price
Okay, how about you name some?
>but hey its your parents money after all
I'm not even gonna bite.
Wow you guys weren't kidding when you said corsair keyboards are bad for adding keycap sets I decided to look at pictures and they are all hilarious
just get anything with pbt caps. Generally the cheapo boards use abs
Just waiting quietly for my royal navies.
Same bro. Ordered outside the GB, so hopefully I get them on time.
