I don't know where the Stupid Questions thread has gone, but boy do I need it.

I am furious, Sup Forums.
My housemate is a complete Linux dork and right before he went on holiday, he installed a Linux distro on what he THOUGHT was his think pad. It was not his, it was mine.

How the fuck do I reinstall Windows 7 on this? I have no interest in Linux at all.

Further info:
The thinkpad has no cd port. Only usb.

Grab your restore CD/flash drive for your legal copy of Windows and you should be good to go. Most laptops put product keys under the battery compartment, so when activating online make sure you have a photo

He did you a favor. Time to learn linux if you don't even fucking know how to download an .iso and stick it in a usb.

Linux can run files like that?
Thought iso and shit were Windows only.

first fuckup
>living with a Sup Forumstard
second fuckup
>falling for the thinkpad meme
third fuckup
>not knowing how to easily fix this

you dun it nao arry potter

>Thought iso and shit were Windows only.
Turns out you're the dork and not your roommate. I wouldn't be able to play Xenoblade on a Mac or Linux if .iso didn't exist as a file format.

HELP PLEASE
just 'upgraded' to Win10 and now steam is broken
it loads everything except the store which just stays on the loading screen forever

i wiped my hdd and did a clean install btw

you and windows 10 weren't meant to be
go back to 7/8.1
>still using an hdd as the OS location
shiggy diggy doo

God you're fucking dumb. Even if that were the case which it would literwlly never be since that's just represents disc data there would still be an alternative.

ehh that was a mistake on my part
all the programs and OS are on my ssd
thanks for the help anyway

He's a dork. I'm just stupid.

So just iso on a flash drive and boot from disk?

Thanks senpai. I know I'm an idiot.

Ya'll are kings.

Also, why isn't there a stupid questions thread?

it's time

You seem like the kind of dork who would literally copy and paste the iso into the usb without, to use old terminology that applies to CDs, "burning" the iso into the usb. Go into BIOS/UEFI, and choose the USB stick.

Right. So ultraISO, mount it to the drive the boot from disk?

fucking retard why does no one know how to use the catalog

because he doesn't know how to use the search feature

>Japanese only schoolgirl
Jokes on you I speak moon

そうなら何か言って

jokes aside, that's proper cleaning if you use
isopropyl alcohol

Why did all porn sites stop working in chrome all of a sudden for me? In Opera they load fine

Pool
weed
cocaine
booze
blonde 10
BST
Internet
Barbells
Pizza hut
2 plates of food

Nothing seems tough about this aside from that fucking 3GB cap.

>search feature
>*scroll*

isopropyl alcohol is not good to use on actual MONITOR SCREENS

NO
STOP
DO NOT EVER USE ISOPROPYL ALCOHOL ON YOUR MONITOR SCREEN

ONLY WATER
AND MICROFIBER TOWELS

I'm looking to build a custom input device (a couple of rotary encoders and maybe a few buttons) but I was wondering what the best way to go about doing that would be?

I've written a few character device drivers for linux in C before, but nothing fancy. Is there a particular development board that meets my needs? Has anyone else here done something similar before?

Next time set a password to Bios or Hard-Disk.

Working on a new build and I was wondering about overclocked ddr4. Is it possible to do with a non-k CPU? I know the main factor is the mobo, which has to support OC RAM xmp profiles. The info I've found says that only the CPU cores are locked, not the memory controller, so it's possible, but stability is not guaranteed. So, is it possible to use OC RAM with non-k cpus?

So after almost 3 weeks of jerking me around I FINALLY secured a refund from this dickhead on ebay who refused to ship my order and kept coming up with excuses/promises to ship in a few days and then ignoring me for over a week again. (Funny enough he responded pretty damn fast as soon as I was able to put it up on the resolution center though.) Paid for the order with a credit card on PayPal, so should I look for the refund on my credit card statement or on PayPal?

Are braided headphone cables more resistant to the occasional chair-caster-rollover than rubber-coated ones? Hella paranoid about it ever since my last cable started getting audio cutting in and out and I had to replace it. (Thankfully my headphones actually do have a detachable cable so it was an easy fix.)

Pretty sure they would be.

Last night my computer stopped booting up properly after I opened my case. Its really ficking werid thoug, my OS drive isnt showing up in the boot order selection as well as my download drive is not showing up either, but when I select the boot menu they are both listed, although they dont work.

I tried sticking it on a usb enclosure and it still wouldnt boot and showed up the same, but when I used a different computer it started booting into windows fine.

I was wondering if this bullshit means my SATA controler on my motherboard shit the bed?

I ordered an SSD today because I want to upgrade my MacBook Pro.
I have an external Time Machine drive and will need to reinstall OS X. If I put the unformatted SSD into the laptop, would it be possible to boot into recovery from the Time Machine drive in order to restore my system? Or should I do a clean install of OS X from a flash drive and then selectively restore data?
I mostly just want to preserve my settings and applications, all larger media is on my server.

Programming related retarded questions.

One, how do I go on about repeating adding an item into a sharepoint list through C# WFA?

Second, how do I make a datagridview display another SHarepoint view? I.E rather than show the default one (All items), I want the list to switch to another, filtered view.

I cannot find much info online and I'm too stupid to use the little I can to implement it properly despite trying for ages.
