When is there going to be an amendment that prevents old fucks from running for office?

>last election had a literal Computer Scientist running for President
>no one even noticed

>out of touch retards that know nothing about technology
The only thing you know is consumerism. There are many things that are more important in life than your video games and graphics cards and gadgets.

It didn't have to be this way...

I kinda wish Obama could run again, I think he's at least somewhat competent.

Who?

2007
>Wow Obama is so tech savvy he knows how to use literally every iPhone app there is!
Every year since:
Massive leaks of sensitive information because of all the incompetent fucks he appointed quid pro quo.

Still better than Hillary with her retarded email """"security"""" or Trump with his complete ignorance. At least Trump won't fuck around with shit he doesn't understand.

I doubt McCain or Romney would have done any better. I'd argue that McCain would have been worse based on his questionable judgement with his VP pick

>At least Trump won't fuck around with shit he doesn't understand.
The guy is running for president while proudly proclaiming to everyone that he's not a politician.

It's questionable whether he's even rich because he's had to sue people for claiming otherwise and then couldn't produce any documents to prove his wealth.

His "university" failed spectacularly and he's being sued for it.

He ran a casino that went bankrupt. A casino is a business that takes your money and gives you credit which you use for the slim chance of winning slightly more money than you paid. It's a business that by design should almost always be running in the black.

His own statements frequently highlight how little he understands.

b-b-b-but shillary

When someone takes away the old fucks' ability to pass laws protecting their position of power

Is he still running?

He's still running I think, as a libertarian. He initially ran under the "Cyber party"

>muh Bolshevik Bernie

...

It's debatable whether Sanders is even a socialist, let alone a commie. Nice meme though.

Millennials know even less about technology.

Our future is grim.

kek

He lost the libertarian nomination to Gary Johnson. A shame, as he was the most libertarian of the three front runners. Seeing him debate Trump, or especially Hillary, would have been magical

It's quite interesting that US presidents are always old farts.

I wonder how an acutally technologically adept president looks like. Like a young one with maybe some IT knowledge.

Gary Johnson is still by far the best candidate in this election cycle, and not just because Drumpf is a disaster and Clinton is a corrupt joke. Even against great candidates, Johnson would still be a strong contender. He and his running mate are both former governors with proven track records.

>all the candidates
i think you mean both

haha america

The youngest a President can be is 35. Which isn't that old, but not really young. Still, seeing someone tech literate in the White House would be nice.

There's a minimum age requirement of 35 so there's no chance for anyone younger than that.

JFK was probably the closest thing to a young tech savvy president and he did create NASA which created hundreds if not thousands of spinoff technologies.

Look at China.

>wanting a millennial, nu-male, white-guilted web developer faggot

There's also the issue of popularity. If a politician is not popular they don't stand much of a chance of winning their primary let alone the general election. So a lot of presidents are former congressmen, state representatives, former governors, or they have an extensive military background.

35 means someone born in 1981 thats actually the perfect age.

Since anyone born in 2000 has no idea how actually computers work they've all been simplified beyond recognition.

Someone born in 1981 say got his first computer in 1989 or 1990 there was still considerable more knowledge required to actually use one.

I'm personally a 1989 person and I ran DOS with NC all the way to Win10. I learned by far the most about technology in the 90 early 00 when things where still difficult.

Today you google your problems and it's easy as shit. Back then you actually had to find the problem and fix it yourself.

This is why our country is turning into shit: we care more about appearance than competence.

>Gary Johnson

Fucking kys

Read up on what Govs. Johnson and Weld accomplished in New Mexico and Massachusetts respectively.

Oops nope I got the history wrong he kickstarted the space race but he didn't start NASA, his predecessor Eisenhower did.

Surely you understand that the president necessarily has whole platoons of advisers.

Yes indeed, just look at Trump with his really amazing-looking fake tan and characteristic swooping gold-dyed hair; and just look at Clinton's bizarre pantsuits concealing a nappy and a walking ER department. They've got this far on appearances alone!

There's more to a nation than computers.

Well American presidencies in the last 20 yeas ahve always been more about Flash then about substance.

Boring and dull is okay.

Problem with this pick a leader bullshit democracy is it's all about MUH FEELS

What you'd need for a competent democracy is people to take a test to confirm they're not dumb and can actually read economic and politcal plans.

Then after that every political side publishes it's plans and people read them...

Then they decide who to vote for.

Not voting for Hillary because she supports the gays but just 10 years ago she didn't or voting on trump because he wants to deport Mexicans yet Obama probably deported more then Trump will.

>Since anyone born in 2000 has no idea how actually computers work they've all been simplified beyond recognition.

I can say the exact same thing about people born in the 80s, guy. Bunch of long-haired manchildren who never built their own CPU from scratch have no purpose making tech policy.

In fact, unless you worked on the team who designed Zen or Skylake, you have no right to even use them, fucking idiots who don't even know tech.

And while we're at it, unless you have produced and directed a major hollywood blockbuster, you have no right to even have an opinion on what a good movie is

Now shut up and get over yourself. Tech always has abstraction layers, that's what specialization is for. Nobody knows the entire stack on their own and you're deluded if you think you do.

The word "appearance" means more than just physical looks and you know it and are either just trolling or a shill, you moron.

Not anymore really. In 20 years your cars your trucks your planes will all be autopilot.

Here usatoday.com/story/money/2016/09/01/walmart-jobs/89716862/

Walmart to cut 7,000 back-office accounting, invoicing jobs

This could have been done 10 years ago but have a comments here.

This is what I do for a living, replace people with automation for a fortune 100 company. Here's what is really happening.

You wouldn't believe the amount of fraud, waste, and abuse happening right now. I automated logins for a department that used to use a physical punch clock to use Windows login and screen idle times. Last year, they paid out near 500k in overtime. This year, 9k, and zero complaints of inaccuracy.

Another division was getting service requests into an shared email box. 11 people were being paid to take the emails and copy paste them into a ticketing system. They were replaced with a macro that took me less than a day.

A fancy monitoring division outsourced alert validation to a cheaper offshore division a few years ago. 37 people were employed to get an alert in one application, search the alerting device in another application and either close the ticket or escalate. They were replaced with a fancy macro and a database.

I really don't feel bad replacing someone if their skillset consists of comparing a number and clicking a button, or copy and pasting text. You need to up your skills. Get a certification or something.

Here's the deal. Automation doesn't do everything. But the standard is 1 to 10. If 10 people are doing manual tasks now, automation will do 90% of it and give a dashboard to 1 person to handle anomalies.

Expect this. Get yourself trained and certified. I'm getting calls from recruiters and direct hire companies almost daily since I updated my resume with automation about 2 years ago.

>There's more to a nation than computers.
You say that, but then you go ahead and pick a candidate based on a single issue like "we need a border wall".

>11 people were being paid to take the emails and copy paste them into a ticketing system.
Jesus fucking christ.

Anyone semi-tech savvy could write a script in an afternoon to automate this.

If mass deportations were a good thing, idiots like Bill Clinton and Barack Obama wouldn't have done it. Trump would never get my vote, not even if Obama was allowed to run again.

Yes, Trump's appearance as a bigmouth and Clinton's appearance as a corrupt, focus-group-directed puppet.

I'm English, so I can't pick anyone. Surely, though, you understand that the first and foremost responsibility of the state is security. Having hundreds of thousands of illegals flooding in every year is bad security.

>Surely you understand that the president necessarily has whole platoons of advisers.
Like two of Trumps campaign advisors have resigned this year.

He picks the best people

What are you on about?

I'm sure both of those girls know a lot about politics.

because to be president you have to spend years sucking the dick of other politicians

Whoa.

I agree man, you need savvy young leadership. Mark Zuckerberg for president.

Between 2009 and 2015 his administration has removed more than 2.5 million people through immigration orders, which doesn’t include the number of people who "self-deported" or were turned away and/or returned to their home country at the border by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP).

Obama did mass deportations sorry. And it was a good thing.

But thats not something Republicans want to acknowledge...

>His "university" failed spectacularly and he's being sued for it.
>He ran a casino that went bankrupt.

You do realize that Trump has over 500 businesses, starting from food and neckties and ending with luxury resorts?
You are like one of these retards that yell X IS BANKRUPT AND FINISHED when a company releases a single failed product.

Most people don't see either of them like that. Trump is still viewed mostly as the former host of The Apprentice, and Hillary as former first lady.

>Having hundreds of thousands of illegals flooding in every year is bad security
Not really. You were an illegal once too. Chill a bit, willya?

...

"Illegal immigration is not a problem, does not make a nation less prosperous, and certainly does not make a nation less safe"
--user, 2016

Sure, the problem are the ones telling us to get along, not the ones promoting hate.

...

Hate makes a nation less prosperous and less safe.

It's hard for people to understand this.

Trump is more like a Samsung or one of the Asian "zaibatsu". He literally does everything.

It's like saying Panasonic sucks dick look at their Plasma TV they fucking collapsed. Panasonic is non existent. It's finished. And it was the Plasma team shout down the LCD team was sold to Samsung. Yet the company lives on and has a profit of ¥179.4 billion 2015.

Meanwhile they're making mad money producing the Tesla Model S batteries.

>everything I don't agree with, or am not entirely comfortable with, is "hate". love trumps hate!!!

There are good illegals, in fact USA needed a lot of illegals to become what it is today. Also please don't compare past immigration to the muslim invasion.

Come to Europe see how our friendly muslims are befriending us.

Trump is like Hitler, I don't know how you can support him.

Sanders himself said he's no more socialist than Ike Eisenhower in a debate, and while he supports higher tax rates and expanded programs he's still not gonna just overthrow private enterprise.

As someone who's generally against regulations and for markets, there's a good economic/business argument for Sanders in that his public safety net is preferable to the utterly fucking retarded current system of employer mandates.

Weld is the only VP candidate this year that actually adds to the ticket, imo.

"The ones promoting hate" in this case referring to those in uproar over coverup of the mass physical and sexual assaults committed by a crowd of 2,000 illegal immigrants in Cologne on New Year's Eve.

>Hate makes a nation less prosperous and less safe.
I don't know man most of the Commie states were safe as fuck.

Like my country was commie before 1990 and crime rates were pretty non existent because if you did something you'd get shot or deported to a very work friendly place. So repeat offenders weren't really a "case"

Sure it was less prosperous. But it was hella safe.

Ugh I know, literally shaking right now.

I'm still not sure why the casino failed there's something shady there. Still I wonder if Trump has 500 successful businesses couldn't he use the money he made from them to pay for the debts of the few failing ones?

Trump University is being sued because they supposedly gave really poor advice to people and charged them out the ass for it.

You're like a mongoloid. I don't know how you can write.

If you think Trump isn't all about projecting strength (or that this does not fall under the term "appearance"), then you are an idiot tbqh.

My neighbors are Los Zetas members. They're undocumented *CITIZENS* and have contributed so much to the prosperity of this neighborhood. They don't even dump heads in the road or anything. You DRUMPFSTERS need to get over your hate and realize that no human being is illegal. Borders are racist. We're all the same. Things change, get over it.

But that was a Mossad false flag, user.

So what America needs is a weak candidate who says he'll put America last and will generally be a weak weakling. Fuck the American people for being so focused on appearances.

For what purpose?
If a business can't sustain itself there is no guarantee that it won't turn into a black hole if you pour some more money into it.
It's easier to file for bankruptcy, salvage the assets and start another business.

If you make an AMD build that turns out horrible the wise thing is to sell is swap components in hopes that it turns out decent.

Exactly because he's a bit like Hitler. Sadly not Hitler. I doubt there will be anyone else like the Führer.

Because that's exactly what we fucking need right now. I don't even mind if Trump ends up starting a world war - most of the general populace has been turned into so big pussies, that they'd need something to man them up, make them learn that the meaning of loss is not having an iphone 1 version too old.

People don't want a politician. He doesn't have a career in it. Making a living off taxpayer money is cancerous.

He's probably pretty fucking rich.

His university made him money and that's what it was designed to do.

A shitload of casinos in Atlantic City and nationwide went bankrupt, too, you fucking dolt. That's roughly equivalent to saying somebody didn't know how to breath because somebody strangled them to death.

His own statements frequently encourage retards like you to go and post short-sighted dribble for him to refute and give him credibility. I don't think he's a good fit, but holy fuck, people like you are tripping head over heels to make sure he wins the election.

>is to sell is swap components in hopes that it turns out decent.

Is to sell it on ebay, not swap components. Wtf half of the post got deleted.

Because being (or rather, projecting an image of being) "strong" and "putting America first" (whatever that means) surely makes one competent enough to rule a nation. What was I thinking!

Many illegals came here for legitimate reasons like for work, most of them are just people that stayed too long. The thing is people build relationships and then when its time to leave it becomes difficult. It could also be that they don't want to go back to their country out of fear.

Clinton's the only one likely to cause world war. More likely, though, is that she'll order direct engagements with Russia in Syria (rather than the current proxy nonsense). Jets will be shot down, positions will be shelled, tensions will be at breaking point for a while, but no wider conflict.

World war is still a possibility, though.

Just your reminder that all those terrorists attacks are just part of a plan to set up a police state by importing a scapegoat minority and blaming false flag terrorist attacks by their own government on the population, obtaining popular consent for government power grab.

And it's working: you're advocating for superstatist candidates like Drumpf and Shillary in this very thread.

>illegals
>legitimate reasons
If they were so legitimate, they'd legitimately go through the legitimate migration process.
>The thing is people build relationships and then when its time to leave it becomes difficult.
As if. Also often not the case because they don't speak the language and they self-segregate. So their own relationships tend to be with others in the same situation. They all have to go back. Also, no one cares.
>It could also be that they don't want to go back to their country out of fear.
No one cares.

That's why Trump is pushing for expedited immigration processes for existing illegals, fair H1-B wages, and breaking of the NAFTA.

Trump is the only candidate in this election that has given a shit about Mexicans, blacks, or any minority for that matter. It's a shame they're ignoring the only person who has shown genuine interest in helping them.

> legitimate reasons like for work

Work is not a legitimate reason to immigrate. That's a crime.
Illegals=criminals by definition. And since they want to work that badly a year in labor camps followed by deportation would be a good solution.

>scapegoat minority
>the people in the countries affected can't even publicly criticize the special protected """"""scapegoat""""""""" minority without being prosecuted
Have a think, mate. Islamism does, in fact, exist.

>no, they're brown-skinned and speak with an accent!

Here, I summarized your post!

Aye, you keep the valuables and kick out the cunts post-haste.

nuuuuuuu we must give them free things to help them!

don't encourage them to better themselves!

>Islamism does, in fact, exist.
Yeah, and is the first and foremost victim of the so-called "islamic state", which conveniently enough attacks muslim country after muslim country, but never even sets an eye on Israel.

If you don't realize these are Jewish false flags, then I hope you're enjoying the taste of that blue pill.

Did you know that Mexico received $25 billion from illegal immigrants sending money back last year? This is a documented fact. Look it up.

They come here to help Mexico and fuck us in the process. Fuck all of them.

Piss poor job of pretending to be a tumblrite my man.

Islamism (political hardline Islam) by definition is never a victim.

>instead of giving you a retort, I'll just redefine things and be automatically right

Nice try, but that's not how this works.

Islamism
noun: Islamism; noun: Islamicism

Islamic militancy or fundamentalism.

They get permits to live here temporarily for work and overstay those permits which makes them an illegal.

Let me ask you this: How will building a border wall prevent these people from doing this? They're going through the same passing that legitimate people go through.

>Islamic State takes territory in Israel despite being very thinly spread near the Israeli border and being in very many engagements already
>Israel invades Syria within two hours with the intent of wiping out Islamic State

It's the same reason they've only attacked a village in Lebanon, and why they've taken no territory in Jordan and Turkey: they can't yet. They don't have an infinite pool of logistics and manpower.

...

That isn't even close to the majority of our illegals.

>How will building a border wall prevent these people from doing this?
Jail for employers, labor camps for illegals.

There really should be raids everywhere, checking the IDs and green cards.

Oh look it's the "everyone is like this example, so just give up" fallacy.

Also the US should stop having such a cavalier attitude towards foreign workers. It suppresses the wages of workers already in the nation.

Labor camps are unethical
While they may of entred illegally, they cannot be kept here and forced to work. At most (for worst cases) they should be deported.
