so an old pentium or celeron?
No, a Core Solo
/thread
wtf is a core solo
The single core version of a Core Duo? What the fuck kind of question is that?

What clock does that 5820K run and how do these 980s perform? I'm unsure to get a second 980Ti for christmas or hope that they release a 1080Ti.
I have a thinkpad somewhere for those Sup Forums points. I've used gentoo once, am I cool yet?
4.5Ghz stock voltage.
They do alright in the games that has proper SLI scaling. Some games do and some dont. I would hold out for the 1080ti release if i where you, infact i am holding out for it as the Titan X pascal is to costly.
$125 new, how'd I do?
>Stock voltage
I can't believe that, mine is still unstable @1.3V and I read many 5820s won't do anything above 4.2 at all
I wish I had a Pascal Titan but its expensive and requires a better cooler. 1070s seem decent but are too expensive, the only advantage is the VRAM
980Tis dropped under 350 € here
>3000U
>New
Looks OK for a 4chanmachine
>older pentium ULV chip
>single channel memory
It's a bit meh, but okay for facebook and the chins
Yeah its basically for shitposting and movies
I don't understand why it has 8GB though, not sure if it can even use that.
Just realized i might have been wrong about the voltage. What i meant was that i only adjusted the multiplier and not touched the voltage what the bios does to adjust i dont know. 4,5Ghz at 1,283v is what i do know, never looked what the voltage is at the standard 3,3Ghz.
The 980Ti is getting down to those prices in my market as well, guess it is to clear the stock. Compared to what i payed it is a bargain for sure, hell compared to whatever else it is a bargain. If the game uses SLI somewhat good i doubt even the coming (read this time next year or so) HBM2 offering from Nvidia will still probably just catch up.
Most games i play run at 60+fps in 4k ultra so i am set, though it would be sweet to be able to do it on one card with a nice quiet cooler!
It can use it, but it's single channel so it's slow and wont do the integrated graphics chip any favors so it'll be pretty shit for even games like League.

Old, but works.

Hey guys.
Just put it together today. So far it runs System Shock 2 really well easy 60fps.
>95% of Sup Forums is on windows 10
So many fucking little kids.
>Titan X
Why?
Constant 60fps in System Shock 2 at 1920x1200 didn't want to take any chances.
R8
gtx 1080 coming next week
Do I win something?
pure trash
>Windows 10
no
Hehe
What upgrade?
7700k delayed till Q1 2017. So GPU?
The pc came with windows 8.1. I just upgraded the GPU and OS. I'd rather downgrade to Windows 7.

Frankenstein coming through!

What the fuck happened?!

DDR means double data rate, retard.
At some point I'll grab a second 480, if they ever stock them again.
:^)
It was a prebuilt that I got my freshman year of highschool that I upgraded the GPU in.
Friends computer, complains that it lags all the time... i wonder why..
...
>I'd rather downgrade to Windows 7.
Why? 8.1's only downside is the start screen.
Pretty chilly tonight. I love it.

It just works

Meh
It barely turns on let alone works lol.

At least it runs cool?
At that point, you'd might as well build a whole new PC for the price of a 980Ti MSRP
pcpartpicker.com
This is my planned future proof build. I already have peripherals.
Balanced
Need new GPU
Rockin
Waste, but at least you don't have x2 1080 and you've got a monitor that needs the power, also
>sli
>year < 2017
The year of XF is not yet upon us, user.
Upgrade that bad boy with an SSD
Titan X/10
I need to overclock my 920, if I follow this guide, will I break anything?
whirlpool.net.au
I have never OC'd before.
Next year I might either drop in a x5650 or get a kaby.
Please rate. I'm second guessing the cpu. I think there may be a little bottlenecking.
Got a 970 for dirt cheap brand new to replace my GTX 680. Very happy with my current config.

Trade it for a chromebook

Nice, I have a RX470 + FX6350. I'll be posting some benchmarks to plebbit or maybe youbutt where they'll stick around

>do i win
No, no you do not.
That 2GB 960 is kinda weak, but it's fine for now.
Your 4K monitor is going to waste, so yeah, GPU. But honestly you should probably wait for Volta, since the 1070 isn't really a great 4K card and the 1080 is overpriced, as x80 always is.
What do you even do with that?
Imbalanced/10. You need a better monitor. If you do for 144Hz, you need a better CPU as well.
You have no need at this point.
Probably the barbque he's got going in there. CPU is too busy hitting on chicks to get anything done
You're alright, user.
Time for a new graphics card?
Be happy
HDDs/9000
Remember to recycle your old electronics.
Future proof is a step too far, but it will last you a while. Quad core with SMT is about to be the new dual core with SMT
Didn't even look at the guide, but I'm sure you'll be fine.
Looks good to me.
Nice, might want a second or slightly larger SSD
Lookin good
:-/
>all these Sup Forums-tier PCs
>64 bit
>2GB RAM
For what purporse?
Full advantage of the CPU,and virtualization.
>I run Server 2008 R2 on VMWare,and 2008 R2 is x64 only
It seems room temps makes the difference between 30C and 20C.
I wonder if it's possible to get down to 18C without special cooling?
>502 MB
how?
does the bios take the ram before the OS can even see it or something?
>does the bios take the ram before the OS can even see it or something?
Actually,he said once it's a EEE PC,so I think the GPU actually shares memory from RAM.
speccy has never read apus temps correctly
and you should never use it to monitor temps for anything because it's usually off
but on most computers that share vram with the gpu speccy will show the proper memory size
reminder that 16:9 > 16:10
>but on most computers that share vram with the gpu speccy will show the proper memory size
Depends on the BIOS. Older computers show the size reported by the BIOS,not by Windows.
:^)
I tried overclocking, I had some crashes but now it seems to be somewhat stable after upping the voltage.
I'm going to run the test all night, hopefully it works out ok.
It'll do 4.2-4.5 just fine, but it gets a little hotter than I'd like (but not dangerously so) on load so I'll wait til I get an aftermarket. Haven't really felt the need for the extra juice yet, just don't like running stock if it's this god damn easy to bump it up with no heat repercussion.
Waiting for all the GPU nonsense to calm down to upgrade, probably going to snag a deal on black friday or something.
>Actually,he said once it's a EEE PC
No I didn't. It's a Vaio VGN-UX180P
...
What do I need upgrading first? I could spare maybe £300 tops on one thing
...
Graphics card, get the 470 or the 3GB 1060
>noraid
I like your style
it's good for what i use it for, however it could do with a GPU with a blower cooler, the case gets rather hot inside under load.
Here's my budget build homos
honk honk
How do I get speect on my z88?
need to upgrade, this thing struggles with some of the newer games on good settings.

What's the Sup Forums approved build thesedays?

Bought it "to game", only use it for data hoarding and Sup Forums browsing.
