That's excessive even for a prebuilt
Think of the computer 5k could get you, that could be a decent workstation at that price.
>dual xeons
>FirePro w9000
32gb DDr4
>shitloads of storage
Or a car
dude I'm not a computer genius, just like building them, but that computer is nowhere near 5k. I'd pay 800-900 for it max.
>tfw a fucking apple computer is a better deal
plus would be smaller
maybe it's canadian/australian/3rd world dollars on the pic
It's from the US.
I imagine it's just the tech store trying to pull a massive ripoff on some grandpa trying to buy his grandson a "gaming computer"
shit should be illegal
>68$ per week over 24 months
>1 year = 52 weeks
>24 months = 104 weeks
>104*68=7072$
>It's from the US.

>Country/region sold in
>Australia
>New Zealand
Hmmmmm
this picture is from a PC store in Georgia, feel free to look up the exif
>image.jpg
Kill yourself.
it's saved from an iMessage holy fuck why are you people so goddamn SKEPTICAL
Literal highway robbery. You can build one with the same specs for about 10 times cheaper.
i don't get this meme, explain pls.
Overpriced Piece of shit is what it is
>SEEN IT CHEAPER?
boi do i have some good news for ya
Apple products are still over priced aswell but i cant say anything i payed over 2k for my thinkpad P50 (Xeon 16GB RAM NVIDIA Quadro 4GB VRAM 500GB M.2 Samsung SSD)
>buying new thinkpads
The whole business laptop meme is because they're so well built and pricey, yet dirt cheap second hand because megacorp IT departments replace their fleets so often because of how IT budgeting works.
>32gb
I bought 32GB DDR4 for £100 the other week
try 512GB DDR4 for that price, dual 24 core xeons, quadfire titans
now you're near 5k
>literal highway robbery
So OP was going on a highway and was robbed by someone wielding an HP desktop? That's what "literally" means.
HKD or something not USD
>256 GB storage on $4,000 computer
...
Pretty sure you can build one for the same specs for less than 1000$
>What is hyperbole??
That config was only sold in Australia/New Zealand, mate.
Exif Data just says:
File Size635 kBFile TypeJPEGMIME Typeimage/jpegImage Width1843Image Height3280Encoding ProcessBaseline DCT, Huffman codingBits Per Sample8Color Components3X Resolution72Y Resolution72YCbCr Sub SamplingYCbCr4:2:0 (2 2)
Says nothing about the location the photo was taken.
Also, that Acer model is from 2010 as well.
And so is that Sony for sale, too.
This. You overpaid, senpai.
Pay up if you want more iStorage goy
>prebuilt
I can get a prebuilt PC cheaper than buying the parts.
Pluss I get a three year warranty on the prebuilt.
(Built by a store that sells PC parts)
When will the prebuilts are expensive meme die?
It's definitely in Australia.
Check the sign and you'll see
flexirent.com.au
And your shitty prebuilt will have the cheapest crappiest lowest bidder parts money can buy, especially the PSU where they skimp the hardest since 99% of people never change their hardware.
Oh shit dude, I asked my friend and turns out he didn't actually take the picture. fucker led me on.
Sorry all. still a massive ripoff though
It's a rental service. They prey on the poor and uninformed.
he's shopping for PC parts and just said "wanna see an image that makes me sick" and sent that, I didn't know whether he actually saw it in the store or not
Lost
That picture is old if it came with Windows 7. A google image search shows that the picture came from a reddit thread.
h20564.www2.hp.com
Found the specs.
GPU is a 5770.
Picture is old as fuck, probably not worth more than $350 today, and $700 as a prebuilt back then.
>256GB PCIe SSD
>that +1GB/s disk I/O tho
>still has ATi on the label
They could have a 2TB SSD in the thing, what do you know?
It's a Rental Store, dude. They're always going to be massively overpriced. I'm sorry your White-Suburban eyes have never seen inside a rent-a-center or similar.
For reference:
rentacenter.com
>90 Days Same As Cash Price: $597.74
microsoftstore.com
>$249.00
And it's almost $1,200 if you pay it all off plus interest in 52 weeks.
>seen it cheaper
God damn UK is the new BR.
I thought that was in my country for a second.
Now you guys feel my pain.
It's from one of those rent to own places that prey on poorfags and niggers.
> $
>UK
???
Why are things so expensive in Brazil?
Using "literally" means you're not using hyperbole. It's the only word that means that and it's the one that faggot chose.
Wacky customs trying to prop up whatever domestic industries they have.
They tax anything not produced in Brazil at high rates
Taxes.
I'm pretty sure PS4s are made in Brazil and much more expensive there than in the US.
Other factors like labour laws and poor infrastructure so higher transport costs will push the cost up even if it is produced in Brazil
We have crazy taxation and many years ago, some companies done some serious lobbying to "protect local industry"
So basically anything that's not soy, coffee or some 30 year old hardware made locally will be taxed with ridiculous rates.
Right now for example, if I buy a 300 dollar CPU and pay 40 dollars for shipping I will have to pay 340 dollars in taxes at the customs office.
There are some ways to cheat the system which people usually do (they travel to USA and buy small things and brings them back), one funny thing is that it's a practice mostly done by family members of politicians.
>i7 980x
>HD 5750
That's a fucking stupid combo, especially since the HP mobo won't allow overclocking, negating the benefit of an extreme edition CPU. Could have used an i7 970 and a 5970 for the same price.
> have you seen it cheaper
lol
There's a tax on everything that isn't HUE after the Bra71l fiasco
>what is interest
Note the rent option. Rent to own stores usually charge a minimum of double the sticker price. They are massive ripoffs designed to fuck the poor in the ass.
