Can this become a Microsoft killer?

...

IT ALREADY IS

No, it's cool but ultimately a novelty.

Its basically on par with Windows 2K in terms of features.

I doubt it's still being actively developed.

No. Next question?

Not right now, but I think it could become a Linux killer for the average user (Like for people who use mint because they Win XP computer was slow) but it would never entirely kill Linux (Think of servers and people like us). Since Windows comes installed on pretty much every computer thats not a mac, I don't think it will kill Microsoft because Windows is not the only product they make money from (Office, Visual studio, etc).

They just need to make something built just for wangblows refugees.
That's how we finally get a real "year of teh linoox" is making a windows-like user friendly experience.
Reactos might be it, but they have to market it properly

It's still in Alpha, even though it was first announced in 1995 as a free win95 alternative, so the answer is no

no

Yes, very slowly. But I see it more as a fun project than a secret weapon. It's more about the fun, the stress, and the trials of reaching the goal.

if it could be as feature rich and bug free as just windows 2000 i would use it as my daily driver instead of linux

I wish it were that stable too...

FOREVER ALPHA

We have more chances of getting Half-Life 3 than to get a stable release of ReactOS

Microsoft is here to stay until someting VERY innovative appears, but lonix has no chance against Windows, never had and never will, doesnt matter what a few autistic manchildred scream in every thread.

By the time it's as robust as XP, desktops will likely be even more of a niche.

It is 0.4.2 released a while ago it can play some games(Skyrim and doom3 if i recall correctly) and read and write ext2/3/4 and some other FS

The year of the Linux desktop is right around the corner, just you wait and see.

If wine ever gets its act together it'd be a complete escape for gamurs, but with the importance of apple and still lack of performance and dx11, it's just not happening. NINE and using mono could help a bunch, but then apple...

Around the corner since a few decades yea:D

Delusion

ReactOS isn't linux or even a unix

>React

It just had a release like a week ago.

Ext*, ReiserFS, UFS/FFS(BSD), and NTFS I think
