What are you currently doing with your mini PC?

I'm going to install Debian on my Orange pi plus and then give Kali a try.

Just thought I'd keep you posted

friendly reminder that today, ~4yrs after its release, there is still no reason to purchase one

oh does it come with a roll of tin foil?

I'm building smart KODI boxes with secretly running Bitcoin miners in them.

It's not going well so far.

Mainly for programming Fortran, eventually I'm going to use it to learn MIPS ASM on a native platform. Here and there I use X forwarding on OS X to run programs built for Linux that aren't for OS X.

Was considering making a laptop with one but unsure as to how that will go.

Remember that the raspberry pi still have more port (usb hdmi, audio) than a mac..

>not having a router that does this anyway

HTPC. :^)

I use my Odroid C1 for Kodi+Samba File Server+torrentbox

>download media legally, with a vpn
>virus scan it, just to be safe
>view it
>my network and work/gaming pc are safe
>inb4 paranoid, just need common sense

Still the single most useless device ever made

>Virus on a media file
U wot m8

I dunno, you exist.

That probably sounded a lot wittier in your head.

>aimed at making programming easy for children
Raspberry pi confirmed for manchildren

>This makes your entire network run faster
I too enjoy funneling all my DNS requests through shitty and slow USB controller.

You sound a lot wittier in your head.

I'm thinking of buying One Just for the sake of making an ultra portable Ganoo/Lienucks terminal

Anyone know if u can dnscrypt+ pinhole?
He thinks it takes a lot of data to convert a domain name to an IP

>He thinks it takes a lot of data to convert a domain name to an IP
No, but adding another 100ms overhead for every resolve isn't going to make my browsing experience any better.

I use mine as a webserver for a little business I run and I connected a beeper to it so it beeps when certain events happen that I scripted. At the beginning, I regretted buying it but now that I see for how many things I've used it (HTPC, rtl_tcp server, FM radio jammer, NAS, MPD remote player, local porn host...) I now am very happy with it and I'm glad I bought it. It's a great thing to fuck around with and for using as an experimental server.

I have a Pi2 that is running PiHole blocking all ads on my network. I have a Pi3 running Kodi for all entertainment needs and I have a Zotac En760 plus that I've been using as a steam box.

Global Rule 2

Pi-hole seems to only be blocking 2-3 a day for me..

>FM radio jammer
Is there a story here? I'm curious.

Print server

Raspberry pi is a media center and torrent daemon
Orange pi pc is only an access point right now

RPi's GPIO pin can be used for very low power FM transmissions. I hooked up a RPi to a battery, made it connect to my phone and plugged a looong wire into that GPIO pin and put that all into a backpack. Went around the town with a friend playing some unconventional music to the radios in small stores and open markets. My friend would listen to the radio on his phone and when he finds the frequency used, I just start the transmission over SSH on that frequency. Had a nice few laughs and never did that again.

you can get higher privileges on iOS with a specialy crafted image file

Raspi + 500Go HDD as my cloud. It just werks :^]

got a pi3 last week, set it up to send me morse code notifications via gpio.

when i get round to it, maybe a single button internet radio; i have an old 1970s radio i want to use.

making a voice-activated personal assistant would be cool too.

roast me

Cringiest thing I've read today. Did you wear leather trenchcoats and sporty sunglasses too?
