What's the point in spending lots of money on technology? Most of you don't even do anything that requires or justifies top tier hardware, so why do you throw your money away?

Some anons have money but not a gf or wife to have fun with and go outside to spend money on experiences rather than material goods that have little inherent value.

The same reason you buy a car that isn't rust on wheels, that have more power than needed to reach speed limit in less than 2 minutes going full throttle. Same reason you're retarded.

consumerism is one of the few joys the average human can enjoy buying top tier computer setups is still cheaper than buying race cars or designer cloths at least
I bought a 970 to play dozens of games that I couldn't before (i had a HD3870), bought a pair of HD650 and e10k to listen to flac recordings (there's no difference btw) and bought an ssd to make games with very long loading times almost instant (also windows, and loading adobe premiere or photoshop etc)

>lossy musics That's because some anime album uploaders don't know about "loudness wars" all their uploads are literal brick wall waveforms. Compared to another uploader with mp3 album.
Jaxson Sullivan
Can you explain further?

>anime noise thats the loudest and most compressed shit that exists. hurts to listen
Connor Hill
That's a simplistic take on the loudness war. Being brickwalled doesn't automatically make it bad, and can reflect a stylistic decision beyond more loudness.

I get a new graphics card about every 2-3 years, I play a few games every now and then, but I cannot justify spending more then $300 on a GPU.
I'm using a 970 Ti and will probably not upgrade until sometime in late 2018.
