It's not very shiny IRL, unless there's heavy light. But I don't think you could get more matte with aluminum.

Anodized aluminum is more matte but it's expensive.

A solid steel interior with a matte plastic exterior would be acceptable, like the the classic Chieftec Dragon. The sides are painted steel.

i have this case unmolested and it pains me what people do with it... i just added a strip of white light leds down the side inside the case, it makes it easier to see what parts i still need to clean/dusty or the rare occasion that I add or swap a drive or something.
I hate how they made the drive bays on this case though, you should be able to have front facing fans while retaining the option to have your hard drives rotated 90 degrees to hide the cables.

This thing is a piece of shit, and yet I've had it for about 5 years now. The front ports sometimes cause hard freezes when you use them. Airflow is pretty good though.

If the price truly is only ~500.. It would be pretty cool to have. Aesthetically it's not great but not bad. The weight is what's wrong with it.
